Six Months In, So Much to Celebrater
It’s been a whirlwind lately, our office buzzing with calls, planning sessions, coffee runs, and last-minute changes. Organizing the LLQ Lifestyle Choice Awards has consumed every corner of my calendar, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The response has been incredible, from the enthusiastic voters to the generous sponsors and heartfelt nominations pouring in, it’s reminded me just how connected and creative our community truly is.

And now, here I am. Sitting by the window in my editor’s office, looking out at the Doha skyline bathed in midsummer haze. It’s one of those rare quiet moments. I lean back, take a deep breath, and smile. Because despite the chaos, I feel fulfilled. Accomplished, even. Six months into 2025, and this journey, this magazine, this team, this rhythm of storytelling, still lights me up.
Half a year already. Can you believe it? I remember the buzz of New Year Eve so clearly , the goals we all scribbled down, the energy of a clean slate. If you’ve stuck to those resolutions, I applaud you. And if you’ve drifted a bit, that’s okay too. What matters is that we’re here now, and there’s still so much of the year left to grow into. Reset. Recommit. Reimagine.
What continues to move me most are the stories unfolding right here at home, a chef turning tradition into fivestar experiences, the boutique hotel redefining hospitality with soul, the reader who wrote in to say one of our features gave her the courage to finally launch her wellness brand. These moments, big and small, are why LLQ Lifestyle exists. We don’t just report on success; we celebrate the people behind it, the resilience in their stories, and the quiet determination it takes to keep showing up, day after day, in pursuit of something better.
This issue is a celebration of that spirit, of movement, momentum, and the meaningful progress we often overlook. We’re spotlighting people who dared to do things differently. From pioneers in Qatar’s hospitality scene to creatives carving their own lanes, these stories reflect the pulse of our city, driven, evolving, and alive with possibility.
And with the LLQ Lifestyle Choice Awards just around the corner, I can feel that pulse getting stronger. We’re gearing up to honour the individuals and brands that have truly shaped the first half of this year, not just with success, but with heart.
So wherever you’re reading this, between meetings, poolside, or in your own quiet moment, I hope you feel what I feel: proud of how far you’ve come, and excited for what’s still ahead.
With heart, hustle, and a full cup of coffee, Elias Haddad.

Your relationship with yourself is the foundation for everything you experience in your phenomenal life.
The way you see yourself, the mental image you create of yourself and speak to yourself directly influences your confidence, motivation, behavior, and even your relationships with others.
Yet, for many people, this inner dialogue is filled with criticism, self-doubt, and limiting beliefs.
Changing the way you perceive and speak to yourself is one of the most powerful transformations you can make. It’s not about arrogance or delusion—it’s about compassion, honesty, and growth.
This article explores how self-perception and self-talk matter, how they develop, how they can hold you back, and most importantly, how you can reshape them to live a more empowered and authentic life.
UNDERSTANDING SELF-TALK
The most defining definition of Self-talk is your internal dialogue—the words and tone you use when talking to yourself. It includes conscious thoughts (“I’m doing well today”) and subconscious scripts (“I’m not good enough”) that have been built over time.
Below I have itemised the various types of Self-Talk
• Positive Self-Talk: Encouraging, optimistic, and supportive.
Dubai Life Coach Lee Levy since 2006.
How you speak & see yourself MATTERS.
• Negative Self-Talk: Critical, discouraging, and often rooted in fear or past experiences.
• Neutral Self-Talk: Observational and factual without emotional weight.
Most people fall into negative self-talk patterns without realizing it, which over time erodes self-esteem and personal agency.
THE POWER OF SELF-PERCEPTION
This element of behaviour clearly refers to the way you view your identity, abilities, and worth. It shapes your beliefs about what you are capable of, how you fit into the world, and what you believe you deserve. This internal view becomes the lens through which you interpret your experiences.
The way you see yourself often becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. SHOULD you see yourself as unworthy or incapable, you’re less likely to pursue opportunities or persevere through challenges. In contrast, when you believe you’re resilient and worthy, you’re more likely to take healthy risks and grow.
“Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.” – Henry Ford
WHERE SELF-PERCEPTION AND SELF-TALK COME FROM
Research has shown that many beliefs about the self are formed in childhood. Messages from parents, teachers, or peers—whether positive or negative—become internalized.
• “You’re so smart” » Belief in one’s intelligence.
• “You’re always so lazy” » Internalized as a fixed trait, not a behavior.
Societal and Cultural Influences like media, cultural norms, and societal standards (especially regarding beauty, success, and gender roles) often distort how people perceive themselves.
Personal Experiences and Failures repeated can skew selfperception negatively, especially if not balanced with reflection, learning, and self-compassion.
THE CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE INNER NARRATIVES
Certainly creates an enviroment of low Self-Esteem with constant self-criticism will eventually chip away at self-worth. People with low self-esteem may avoid challenges, settle for less, or sabotage success.
Without a doubt, negative self-talk narratives creates anxiety and depression and is often linked to mental health issues. Thoughts like “I’m a failure” or “Nothing will ever change” can deepen feelings of hopelessness.
The inevitable result is Self-Sabotage and that is should you ever believe you’re not good enough, you may unconsciously act in ways that prevent your own success—procrastinating, withdrawing, or not speaking up.
With self-sabotage, you creating Strained Relationships when you don’t appreciate yourself, it’s di icult to maintain healthy boundaries or accept love from others. You may also project insecurities onto relationships.
LEARNING TO SEE YOURSELF DIFFERENTLY
The first step to healing is increased Self-Awareness so be mindful that you can’t change what you’re not aware of. Begin noticing how you think about yourself, especially in challenging or emotional moments.
• Do you call yourself names when you make a mistake?
• Do you minimize your achievements?
• Do you assume others think poorly of you?
• Do you criticise your body
• Do you hate what happened to you?
Keep a journal or log to track patterns in your thoughts.
Identify beliefs that hold you back and question them:
• “I’m not good at public speaking” » Who told you that? Can you improve with practice?
• “I always mess things up” » Is that always true? Can you think of a time you succeeded?
• The physical & emotional abuse that I su ered I deserve
Use evidence-based thinking. Replace absolutes like “always” and “never” with realistic assessments. Learning to stop defining yourself by your past or your mistakes. Instead, see yourself as a work in progress.
• Instead of: “I’m bad with money.”
• Try: “I’m learning to manage my finances better.” Your identity is not fixed. It evolves based on the story you choose to tell about yourself.
TRANSFORMING YOUR SELF-TALK
Healing requires softer tones when speaking to you like: Would you speak to a best friend the way you speak to yourself? If not, rewrite your self-talk as if you’re advising someone you love.
• Instead of: “I’m such an idiot.”
• Say: “That was a mistake, everyone makes them. I can fix it.”
Learning A irmations are powerful when they feel authentic and are repeated consistently. Focus on a irmations that align with your values and goals.
• “I am healing every single minute of every hour of every single day.”
• “I am capable of overcoming challenges.”
• “I deserve love and respect.”
Say them aloud daily or write them in a journal.
Replacing Criticism with Curiosity and compliments instead of judging yourself, ask:
• What can I learn from this?
• What triggered this reaction?
• What support do I need?
This mindset fosters growth rather than shame.
TOOLS AND STRATEGIES FOR REPROGRAMMING SELF-PERCEPTION
Learning to journalise your experiences at life, your hurt, your pain will certainly change the negative narratives in the subconscious.
Write about how you see yourself and what you wish to change:
• What do I believe about myself that may not be true?
• What would my life look like if I fully believed in myself?
• What compliments have I struggled to accept?
You are better than your best opinion of you.
Change your life..

Dr. Mahmoud Abu Zainah
The eruption of milk teeth typically commences in infants at approximately six to seven months of age. The milk teeth typically start falling at the age of six, making way for the eruption of the permanent teeth. Although milk teeth are eventually replaced, it is crucial to maintain proper oral hygiene for both primary and permanent teeth. Developing a routine during early childhood can contribute to the cultivation of robust and wellmaintained dentition throughout the maturation process.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MILK TEETH AND PERMANENT TEETH
Ģ Milk teeth, sometimes referred to as baby teeth, primary teeth, or deciduous teeth, are the initial set of teeth that emerge in humans.
Permant TEETH VS. MILK TEETH

Ģ Milk teeth have smaller dimensions and a more pronounced whiteness in comparison to permanent teeth due to their possession of a thinner layer of enamel.
Ģ The milk dentition typically consists of 20 milk teeth, compared to 32 adult teeth.
Ģ The front teeth are the initial teeth to emerge in infants.
Ģ Milk teeth play a crucial role in facilitating the proper alignment of permanent teeth during the growth process.
Ģ In addition, teeth contribute to facial structure and serve a crucial function in facilitating a child’s development of eating and speaking abilities.
Effective oral hygiene practices for both milk and permanent teeth
It is imperative to provide adequate oral care to ensure the longevity of teeth, potentially extending their lifespan indefinitely. The significance of milk teeth is sometimes overlooked due to their eventual replacement. Nevertheless, maintaining proper oral hygiene is consistently vital.
If not adequately attended to, these issues might potentially have adverse effects on the well-being of the children and subsequent permanent teeth.
Professional Visits for Children
It is advisable to schedule a dental visit for youngsters as early as six months of age. Regular visits to the dentist have significant importance, particularly during the emergence of permanent dentition. The proactive approach identify prospective dental abnormalities prior to their escalation into more significant concerns.
The significance of teeth in children’s development is significant, as the manner in which dental care is administered throughout early years can have lasting effects into adulthood. The cultivation of favorable oral care practices should ideally commence at the earliest possible age.

WHICH ONE IS BETTER?
The heat and humidity has officially arrived in Qatar and I’m here to remind you not to forget to apply the single most important skincare product to your face and body.
SUNSCREEN.
If I had to choose to use 1 skincare product only from my entire collection, it would have to be sunscreen. Not only does sunscreen protect you from skin damage such as hyper-pigmentation, and pre-
mature aging, it also most importantly protects you from developing skin cancer. From non-comedogenic and oilfree formulas, to tinted varieties, water resistant, matte or a glow finish, there’s a sunscreen for everyone.
The formulas of sunscreens has advanced over the years to tinted sunscreen powders, gels, spray on sunscreen and also the growing trend of makeup infused skincare products with a high spf.
As Summer is approaching and there is a growing interest in using cleaner and safer skincare products I will be clarifying the difference between chemical and mineral sunscreens.
Mineral sunscreens blocks out damaging UV rays by reflecting these rays off the surface of the skin. These sunscreens do not absorb into the skin. Mineral sunscreens are effective immediately after application at protecting your skin from UV rays. Ingredients used in mineral sunscreens include zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. If you have sensitive skin, mineral sunscreen may be the way to go for you to prevent skin reactions such as rashes.
If you do decide to use a mineral sunscreen you will be protecting the environment as these sunscreens do not absorb into the water and the ingredients are non-toxic and safer for coral reefs.
Compared to older times, the formulation of mineral sunscreens has vastly improved resulting in thinner textures with barely any white cast and that layers very well under makeup depending on the brand you decide on. The formulas are also much more gentle on the skin compared to many chemical sunscreens on the market. Personally I love a tinted mineral sunscreen for added protection against the harmful UV rays and no white cast. Regular re-application of mineral sunscreen is necessary for it to be effective at protecting your skin.
Chemical sunscreens on the other hand, absorbs UV radiation into the skin and converts it to heat which is then released. After approximately 20 minutes after application chemical sunscreens will offer broad spectrum protection. You may be protected for a longer period at a time without frequent re-application (as opposed to mineral sunscreens), however, bear in mind that your body is absorbing some of the chemicals in the sunscreen which could enter your bloodstream and could potentially affect your health after many years of use .
Primary ingredients used in chemical sunscreens are oxybenzone, avobenzone, octinoxate, and octisalate.
Both options of sunscreens offers high protection from harmful ultra violet rays, however with the variety and advanced formulations of mineral sunscreens in todays age it’s worth the switch to be kinder and more gentle with your skin and the environment. Whichever option you may choose that suits your skin and lifestyle better, as long as you are wearing sunscreen, even on a cloudy day, that is what’s most important.

GINGIVECTOMY GINGIVECTOMY
Gingivectomy is the surgical removal of gum tissue. Periodontists use gingivectomy to treat some forms of gum disease. It’s also a common cosmetic surgery used to improve the appearance of your smile. It takes about a week to recover after gingivectomy, and the results are usually permanent.

Dr. Nour Zourob
What is a gingivectomy?
Gingivectomy is surgery to remove excess or overgrown gum tissue (gingiva).
Types of gingivectomy
There are two main types of gingivectomy:
{ Traditional gingivectomy. A surgeon uses a scalpel to remove excess gum tissue. In some cases, they may need to remove a small amount of underlying bone. They may use stitches to close any incisions and slow bleeding.
{ Laser gingivectomy. A surgeon uses a handheld laser to remove excess gum tissue. Since lasers also cauterize (seal) gum tissue, you may not need stitches.
Who is a candidate for gingivectomy?
A gingivectomy procedure may be right for you if you have:
{ Gingivitis.
{ Periodontitis.
{ A “gummy smile” that makes your teeth look too short.
{ Periodontal pockets (areas where your gums have pulled away from your teeth).
{ Braces or other orthodontic appliances.
{ Tooth malposition (the position of your tooth results in excess gum tissue).
Certain medications can result in excess gum tissue, too. Examples include amlodipine for high blood pressure or cyclosporine as an immunosuppressant.
What should I expect after gingivectomy?
Gingivectomy is an outpatient procedure, so you’ll be able to go home the same day. Your surgeon will give you a list of post-operative instructions to keep you comfortable during recovery at home.
What are the benefits of gingivectomy?
Gingivectomy offers a number of benefits. The procedure:
{ Removes excess or overgrown gum tissue.
{ Fixes a “gummy smile.”
{ Reduces harmful oral bacteria.
{ Decreases periodontal pockets around your teeth.
{ Makes brushing and flossing more effective because it helps you reach problems areas more easily.

UNVEILS 2024 IFLA MENA 2024 ANNUAL REPORT
Document Highlights Transformative Year for Regional Collaboration
Qatar National Library (QNL) has released the 2024 Annual Report of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions Middle East and North Africa (IFLA) Regional Office. The report outlines a landmark year of growth, collaboration and impact in advancing library services, professional development, and knowledge exchange across the MENA region.
Qatar National Library was officially appointed as host of the IFLA MENA Regional Office during the 2023 IFLA World Library and Information Congress. The official signing ceremony, held in December 2024 at QNL, featured a series of capacity-building workshops, reinforcing the Library’s role in advancing regional and global cooperation.

The Annual Report highlights numerous other milestones during the Office’s inaugural year. These include the launch of the Librarians for Libraries training program, which attracted 1,259 registrants from 31 countries. The program featured 16 specialized workshops delivered by expert trainers from countries including Oman, Syria, Egypt, Afghanistan, Palestine, and Qatar. The sessions fostered knowledge exchange and supported professional growth across the region.
Another notable achievement is QNL’s leadership in updating Qatar’s data for the IFLA Library Map of the World, a global initiative that visualizes the presence and impact of libraries worldwide. Since September 2024, QNL has coordinated a national effort involving 400 libraries, achieving a response rate of 80.7% with participation from government and private school libraries, academic institutions as well as special and public libraries.
The report also highlights the Library’s impactful capacitybuilding initiatives such as the Emerging Librarians Program, a training hosted at QNL for students from Sultan Qaboos University in Oman. The program, blending theoretical instruction with practical application, provided participants with exposure to key departments, including Heritage, Digitization, and Conservation, as well as curated cultural site visits. The initiative gained international recognition, with the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals inviting QNL to share its experience in an article featured by the institute’s ILIG Focus publication.

Tan Huism, Executive Director of Qatar National Library, said these initiatives reflect the growing role of libraries in supporting communities in a multitude of ways, whether life-long learning, access to knowledge and creative and cultural events and community building.
“As host of the IFLA MENA Regional Office, QNL remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting regional cooperation to support knowledge exchange, cultural preservation, and innovation across the region.”
Eiman S. AlShamari, the Acting Manager of the National Collection at Qatar National Library and the Manager of the IFLA Middle East and North Africa Regional Office, said: “This year has demonstrated the potential of coordinated regional efforts in fostering a vibrant community of librarians that share the same values.”
Building on last year’s success, QNL plans to expand its training offerings, launch new collaborative initiatives across the MENA region, and establish regular strategic dialogue with the IFLA to align global priorities with regional needs to support the development of library services across the Arab world.
Qatar National Library continues to pursue its role as a regional hub for innovation, capacity-building, and knowledge-sharing, empowering library professionals and institutions to further advance their mission.

FIFTY ONE EAST
FIFTY ONE EAST Unveils
TUDOR 2025 Novelties at a Private Event in Doha
Fifty One East, Qatar’s favorite department store, successfully hosted an exclusive instore event unveiling TUDOR’s Watches & Wonders - Geneva 2025 collection for the very first time in Doha. The private gathering took place on Wednesday, May 7 at the TUDOR Shop-in-Shop at Fifty One East, Lagoona Mall, welcoming an elite group of TUDOR enthusiasts and valued clients.
Guests had the rare opportunity to be among the first in the region to view—and purchase—TUDOR’s latest timepieces following their global debut in Geneva. The event underscored Fifty One East’s ongoing dedication to bringing world-class luxury experiences to Qatar’s discerning clientele, a commitment that has defined its partnership with TUDOR since 1951.
2025 is a big year for TUDOR, as it saw an all-new Black Bay in 43 mm featuring Master Chronometer certification and a Pelagos that’s depth rated to 1000 m. The Swiss manufacturer also released a Black Bay 58 all with a burgundy dial and bezel; the Black Bay Pro with enhanced visual touches; and finally, the Black Bay Chrono model in steel with a five-link bracelet.

Mr. Bader Al-Darwish, Chairman and Managing Director of Fifty One East, said: “It was an honour to reveal TUDOR’s exceptional 2025 novelties in Doha. Our relationship with the brand spans more than 70 years, and this event marked yet another milestone in our shared journey. We are proud to continue offering our clients access to the world’s most exceptional timepieces in experiences as unique as the watches themselves.”
BLACK BAY 58
The Black Bay 58 is named after the year in which the first TUDOR divers’ watch waterproof to 200 meters was introduced. Among other aesthetic allusions to this famous historic watch, this model has a 39 mm diameter case, in keeping with the characteristic proportions of the 1950s.
For the first time, the new allburgundy Black Bay 58 also comes on a 5-link bracelet with a T-fit rapid adjustment clasp. On top of all of that, the watch also got the Master Chronometer treatment.
PELAGOS ULTRA
Exceptional tool watches and the symbol of aquatic adventure, the models in the Pelagos line are amongst the most complete traditional mechanical divers' watches available today.
Engineered specifically to overcome the challenges associated with saturation diving, the new Pelagos Ultra is the most technically capable Pelagos ever made, with 1,000 meters of water resistance, a proprietary bracelet adjustment system, and a 43 mm titanium case. It represents a giant stride in technical advancements with a Master Chronometer Certification from METAS.

BLACK BAY 68
Introducing an entirely new Black Bay model in 43 mm with two new colour configurations. The big deal is not just a brand new case size, but that the Black Bay 68 is also Master Chronometer certified by METAS.

The Black Bay 68 is among the largest Black Bay models and meets the demand for various case sizes to fit all types of wrists.
BLACK BAY PRO
TUDOR offers a technical model named Black Bay Pro. It has a 39-millimetre diameter, a fixed steel bezel and a Manufacture Calibre with built-in GMT function.
Building on the Black Bay Pro’s robust reputation, this new version retains the 39mm diameter case, fixed steel bezel and Manufacture Calibre with built-in GMT function. A distinct new opaline dial with visual touches that make it extremely legible.
BLACK BAY CHRONO
TUDOR has been producing watches that are closely tied to the world of motor sport since 1970, when the brand introduced its first chronograph. The Black Bay Chrono combines this heritage in a sport-chic chronograph, with contrasting sub-counters and a high-performance automatic Manufacture Calibre, with column wheel and vertical clutch.
Celebrating decades of its chronographs, the Black Bay Chrono model in steel with a reworked case and two dial options now comes with the option of a 3-link or 5-link bracelet, both with “T-Fit” clasp.
IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCES AND ACTIVATIONS
In true TUDOR spirit, the evening offered guests an immersive brand experience that brought the “Born to Dare” ethos to life. A live DJ performance set an upbeat tone throughout the night, while guests engaged with an interactive Push Button Reaction Wall for the chance to win exclusive TUDOR prizes. The culinary experience included elegant pass-around catering alongside red and white cotton candy and popcorn, red and black sliders and mocktails, echoing the signature colours of the TUDOR novelties on display.

IRON WILL, DIGITAL Dreams: How HESHAM ABDELSALAM
Built an Empire from Discipline
In a world obsessed with quick wins and overnight success, Hesham Abdelsalam’s journey is a refreshing reminder that true success demands patience, grit, and relentless consistency. As the CEO of Actify and Uplink Solutions, Hesham seamlessly blends the worlds of fitness and technology, proving that discipline in the gym translates to resilience in the boardroom. From early morning workouts to boardroom breakthroughs, the CEO of Actify and Uplink Solutions is redefining what it means to lead, physically, mentally, and digitally.

“Both Actify and Uplink Solutions are about empowerment,” Hesham explains. “Actify focuses on health-tech innovations, helping people live more actively and mindfully. Uplink is about bridging gaps in digital infrastructure, improving connectivity, efficiency, and performance.”
FROM BODYBUILDING TO BUSINESS SUCCESS
Before leading companies, Hesham was mastering discipline in another arena: bodybuilding. Bodybuilding taught Hesham more than physical strength. Every repetition was a lesson in patience, every workout a practice in consistency. This daily ritual of pushing past limits became the foundation of his leadership philosophy.
Success, he learned, isn’t instant. It’s earned through showing up, day after day, even when no one is watching. This mindset would later define his business ventures.
“Bodybuilding teaches patience, discipline, and delayed gratification. You don’t see results overnight. That’s exactly how business works too,” he says. This relentless commitment has become the backbone of his leadership style.
BUILDING WITH PURPOSE: ACTIFY & UPLINK SOLUTIONS
With a mission to empower healthier lives, Hesham founded Actify, a company dedicated to creating AIpowered fitness tools and wellness solutions. Actify’s goal is simple yet profound: make active, mindful living accessible to all.
In parallel, he launched Uplink Solutions to address the growing need for efficient, smart urban infrastructure. Uplink bridges critical gaps in digital connectivity, enhancing urban performance and streamlining complex systems for modern cities.
Though their focus areas differ, both companies are united by a common thread: solving real-world problems through purposeful innovation.

SUCCESS FUELED BY RESILIENCE
For Hesham, entrepreneurship is less about profit and more about impact. Every challenge faced while scaling Actify and Uplink has been met with the same resilience honed in the gym. Obstacles become opportunities. Discomfort becomes growth. “I love building things from the ground up, assembling strong teams, and seeing a vision turn into something real that helps others.”
His structured daily routine mirrors this philosophy, early rising, focused training, mindful nutrition, and strategic business leadership. To Hesham, maintaining peak physical and mental performance isn’t optional; it’s essential to leading effectively.
THE DAILY ROUTINE OF A STRONG CEO
Hesham’s day begins at 5 AM with strength training or hypertrophy workouts, setting the tone for a productive day of strategic meetings and team collaborations. He prioritizes clean nutrition, hydration, and quality sleep, viewing his body and mind as equally vital assets. “You can’t lead well if you’re running on fumes. Prioritizing health isn’t optional; it’s a necessity,” he advises.

ADVICE FOR ENTREPRENEURS: HEALTH IS WEALTH
To fellow entrepreneurs juggling business pressures, Hesham emphasizes the importance of physical well-being. “Make movement part of your routine, even if it’s just 30 minutes a day. You’ll lead with more clarity, energy, and presence.”
While Hesham hasn’t stepped on a competitive stage yet, his training remains deeply personal. “For me, it’s about mastering myself. I train to be sharper, stronger, and more resilient every day, not for a trophy, but for life.”
LOOKING AHEAD: GROWTH & GIVING BACK
With Actify expanding into new international markets and Uplink Solutions rolling out smart urban infrastructure projects, Hesham is also exploring mentorship and investing in early-stage startups. “It’s about creating impact beyond my own ventures. Empowering others to build with purpose, that’s the real legacy.”
THE HESHAM ABDELSALAM LEGACY
Through Actify’s health-tech innovations and Uplink Solutions’ smart infrastructure advancements, Hesham Abdelsalam exemplifies what it means to build with purpose. His ventures are not just profit-driven; they are missiondriven, focused on elevating lives and creating meaningful impact.
GET UNCOMFORTABLE”: HESHAM’S GROWTH MANTRA
For Hesham Abdelsalam, comfort zones are creativity killers. His mantra, “Get uncomfortable”, isn’t just advice; it’s a way of life. “That’s where growth lives,” he says. Every major leap in his career, from launching health-tech solutions to pioneering smart infrastructure, began with stepping into the unknown.

Hesham believes true innovation comes from embracing challenges, not avoiding them. From lifting heavy weights to lifting business ventures, He thrives on breaking through barriers. His advice to future entrepreneurs is simple: chase your vision with grit, embrace discomfort as a catalyst for growth, and let every challenge fortify your resilience. "Growth isn’t easy—but it’s always worth it.
A MOMENT OF RECOGNITION
Being shortlisted for the LLQ Entrepreneur Award 2025 is a proud milestone for Hesham and his teams. “It’s an honor. This recognition reflects the hard work and vision of both Actify and Uplink. I’m proud to represent a mission driven by health, tech, and transformation.”
At LLQ Lifestyle, we proudly celebrate visionaries like Hesham, leaders who blend passion with perseverance, and innovation with intention. His journey is a testament to the power of discipline, the importance of health, and the impact of purposeful entrepreneurship. True success, as Hesham shows us, isn’t just about reaching the top, it’s about lifting others as you rise.

Abdulrahman Hassan, a seasoned Information Security and Emerging Technology Expert, proudly announces the official launch of his debut book titled "AI and Cybersecurity – Influence and Impact" during the Doha International Book Fair. The release of this book marks a significant personal and professional milestone, representing years of accumulated experience, research and insight into two of the most transformative fields in today's digital era.

The story behind this book began when Abdulrahman participated in a prominent cybersecurity conference. As part of the engagement, he was required to submit a research paper examining the relationship between Artificial Intelligence and cybersecurity. During the process of preparing the paper, he realized he was compiling a rich collection of notes, reflections and practical examples from his professional journey. That realization inspired me to embark on the journey of writing this book.
Initially, the writing process followed a technical path, rooted in my two decades of professional experience in the field," Abdulrahman stated. "However, I received valuable advice along the way that helped shape the final approach. I was encouraged to simplify the content and make it accessible to a broader audience, especially considering that this is my first publication. This shift in direction allowed me to reach not only professionals but also students, decisionmakers, and technology enthusiasts who may not have a technical background.

Another key decision was the choice to write the book in Arabic. Abdulrahman discovered a noticeable lack of comprehensive Arabic literature that addressed both Artificial Intelligence and cybersecurity in a unified and structured way. Most existing content either focused on one topic or offered limited references. Recognizing this gap, He felt a responsibility to fill it, and to contribute to the Arabic knowledge base by providing an integrated view of how these two domains are evolving and interacting. By choosing Arabic as the language of publication, he aimed to make the knowledge accessible and valuable to a wider community in the Arab world.

The book is structured into nine chapters. The first few chapters introduce the foundational concepts of AI and cybersecurity and provide an overview of how both fields have evolved over time. These chapters also explore how criminal activity has shifted from traditional methods to sophisticated cyberattacks enabled by modern technology and how AI is revolutionizing cybercrime. Chapters three and four focus on how artificial intelligence and cybersecurity influence one another. I explore how artificial intelligence is being used to enhance cybersecurity defense mechanisms, automate detection systems and predict emerging threats. In later chapters, the book delves into ethical considerations, regulatory challenges and the governance framework of these technologies. The final chapters explore the future of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, offering forward looking analysis and practical recommendations for individuals, organizations and policymakers.
The release of this book aligns with Abdulrahman Hassan’s long-standing commitment to knowledge-sharing and community development. With over 22 years of experience, Abdulrahman is a recognized expert in the fields of IT and Information Security. As a seasoned expert in Technology and Information Security, he brings a comprehensive blend of expertise in artificial intelligence innovation, cybersecurity and cyber defense strategies, IT service management, governance frameworks, technology risk mitigation, business continuity planning, and strategic IT project delivery.
Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in integrating technology and security capabilities to drive innovative, business-aligned strategies. His work has resulted in improved operational efficiency, revenue growth, and enhanced competitive advantage for numerous organizations across Europe and the Gulf region. In addition to his leadership in technical fields, Abdulrahman has served as a local and international IT consultant, bringing his knowledge to diverse audiences and organizations. He is known for his fresh perspectives on innovation and for contributing valuable insights to strategic discussions.
"The book is not just a personal achievement. It is a form of social responsibility," Abdulrahman added. "I hope this work will benefit the community, raise awareness and encourage others to explore how AI and cybersecurity are shaping the future."
The launch at the Doha International Book Fair signifies a strong beginning for Abdulrahman’s journey as an author and he hopes to continue writing on impactful topics that empower society and support national and regional digital advancement.
INTERVIEW Q AND A SECTION
What is the future of Artificial Intelligence and where do you think it is heading?
AI is already deeply embedded in many aspects of life, from healthcare and education to finance and cybersecurity. In the coming years, we will likely see even more autonomous systems, predictive technologies and decision support tools driven by AI. However, progress must be guided by ethical frameworks, governance standards and a focus on human oversight to ensure AI remains safe and beneficial.
How can ordinary individuals benefit from AI? What are some examples of everyday applications?
AI can enhance everyday life in numerous ways. Examples include smart assistants that help manage schedules, AIbased translation tools, personalized learning platforms, fitness and health monitoring apps and automated financial planning tools. The key is to identify solutions that genuinely add value and improve daily routines.

What are the main risks associated with AI, and how can we manage them?
The risks include data privacy issues, algorithmic bias, misuse in cyberattacks and potential over reliance on automated systems. Managing these risks requires responsible design, regulatory oversight, transparency and continuous risk assessments. A collaborative approach involving governments, industry and academia is essential.
Do you think AI will cause widespread job losses?
AI will certainly change the employment landscape. While some roles may become obsolete, many new jobs will emerge especially in AI development, data analysis, cybersecurity and related fields. The focus should be on preparing the workforce through education, upskilling and adapting to new roles created by the AI economy.
Are we heading toward a future where machines or robots control society?
The idea that machines will dominate humanity is more science fiction than reality; in practice, AI is a powerful tool created and governed by humans. With strong oversight, ethical design, and responsible innovation, we can ensure that AI remains aligned with human values and continues to serve society rather than control it.
Timeless Fashion
TIPS FOR THE MODERN WOMAN
As the fashion world continues to evolve, it's easy to get lost in the sea of trends and styles. However, some fashion tips and tricks remain timeless, and every woman should know them. In this editorial, we'll explore some essential fashion tips that will help you look and feel your best.

NAHLA BEHAIRY NAHLA BEHAIRY
KNOW YOUR BODY SHAPE
Understanding your body shape is crucial to dressing well. Whether you're an hourglass, pear-shaped, or rectangular, knowing your body type will help you choose flattering silhouettes and balance your

proportions. For example, if you're an hourglass, accentuate your waist with belted dresses or tops. If you're pear-shaped, draw attention to your upper body with bold tops and statement accessories.

INVEST IN QUALITY OVER QUANTITY
While fast fashion can be tempting, investing in quality pieces will pay off in the long run. A wellmade, classic piece can be worn for years to come, whereas trendy items may quickly go out of style. Focus on building a solid wardrobe foundation with timeless pieces like a good pair of jeans, a classic white shirt, and a tailored blazer.
DRESS FOR CONFIDENCE
The most important fashion tip is to dress for confidence. Wear what makes you feel good about yourself, and don't be afraid to experiment with different styles. When you feel confident, you'll exude a sense of self-assurance that will make any outfit look great.
ACCESSORIZE WISELY
Accessories can make or break an outfit. A statement piece of jewelry, a quality handbag, or a pair of stylish shoes can elevate your look and add a touch of personality. However, be mindful of over-accessorizing, as too many accessories can detract from your overall look.
DON'T FORGET ABOUT FIT
Fit is everything when it comes to fashion. Clothes that fit well will make you look polished and put-together, while ill-fitting clothes can make you look sloppy. Take the time to tailor your clothes if necessary, and don't be afraid to try different sizes to find the best fit.

EXPERIMENT WITH COLORS
Don't be afraid to experiment with different colors and patterns. While neutrals are always a safe bet, adding a pop of color or a bold pattern can add visual interest to your outfit. Just be sure to balance bold pieces with more subdued items to avoid overwhelming the senses.
CONCLUSION
Fashion is a form of self-expression, and the key to looking great is to find a style that makes you feel confident and comfortable. By following these timeless fashion tips, you'll be well on your way to developing a personal style that's both stylish and authentic. So go ahead, experiment with different looks, and find what works best for you. With a little practice and patience, you'll be a fashionista in no time!

INTERIOR DESI GN Secrets
NO ONE TELLS YOU (BUT I WILL)
Let’s be honest, interior design can feel overwhelming. So many styles, colors, rules… where do you even start? After years of designing homes, I’ve learned that great design isn’t about perfection. It’s about finding the sweet spot between Function, Form, and Emotion. Here are my 5 favorite secrets that turn any space into something special:

1. Start with function, always.
Before choosing paint or picking sofas, ask yourself: What do I actually need from this space? Is it for relaxing, working, hosting guests? Design should make your life easier, not just prettier.
2. Don’t overcrowd, let it breathe.
A huge couch in a small room? Recipe for chaos. Choose furniture that fits the scale of your space. And don’t forget to leave some empty areas, it helps everything feel calmer and more open.
3. Play with form, have fun with it.
Balance doesn’t mean boring. You can mix shapes, play with lines, and even go a little asymmetrical, as long as the space still feels right. Your eyes will tell you when it works.
4. Use color like a pro.

The 60-30-10 rule is your best friend: 60% main color, 30% secondary, 10% pop. Want all neutrals? Mix textures, linen, wood, velvet, metal, to add depth and keep it interesting.
5. Add emotion, it’s the magic ingredient.
This is where the soul comes in. Soft lighting, your favorite candle, a photo that makes you smile… That’s what makes a house feel like home.
Design doesn’t have to be complicated. When you mix smart planning with personality, you’ll create something beautiful, and truly yours.

Presents
“ALTERED STATES”
BY MARCO BRAMBILLA CURATED
BY JÉRÔME SANS
Golden Goose kicked off the Biennale of Architecture 2025 with the unveiling of a groundbreaking series of artistic experiences at HAUS in Marghera, Venice.
HAUS, a cultural platform and home for Golden Goose’s global community of Dreamers, serves as a creative hub where craftsmanship, culture, and art converge. This year, HAUS hands over its keys to Marco Brambilla, renowned for his visually opulent and conceptually layered works that explore the intersection of art history, pop culture, and emerging technologies. Working across a wide range of visual and electronic media — including video installation, virtual reality, and digital collage — Brambilla constructs densely populated, often surreal landscapes that reframe cultural spectacle through the lens of technological innovation. His installations have taken over iconic landmarks of popular culture, including the Sphere in Las Vegas and Times Square in New York. They have also been exhibited in museums, such as MoMA and the Guggenheim, as well as film festivals including Venice Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival.

As guest artist at Golden Goose HAUS, Marco Brambilla presents “Altered States”, marking his first extensive show in Italy, featuring some of his existing works and some specifically created for HAUS. Exploring cinema as a dream state, the exhibition transforms HAUS’s industrial spaces into a fluid reality —a continuously shifting construct where the boundaries between physical and virtual dissolve. Drawing entirely from film imagery and sound, the show connects the dream state with the collective subconscious. Hypnotic visuals and soundscapes guide viewers through layered realms of memory, fantasy, and desire.
GOLDEN GOOSE
Curated by Jérôme Sans, a visionary curator and cofounder of Palais de Tokyo in Paris, Altered States challenges perceptions of media, technology, and consciousness. By juxtaposing iconic cultural imagery with surreal, otherworldly landscapes, the exhibition invites viewers to reflect on how media shape our understanding of reality. Its mesmerizing visuals and soundscapes evoke an altered awareness, drawing visitors into a sensory journey that blurs the line between inner perception and external stimuli. Sans’ expertise in contemporary art and interdisciplinary projects adds a unique depth to the experience, further cementing HAUS as a space where creative worlds collide.
Actress Amybeth McNulty and Pratibha Ranta, singers Jack Savoretti, Samuel Romano of Subsonica, and Lorenzo Sutto, artist Fabrizio Plessi, museum director Amin Jaffer, pianist Alberto Bof, Global Brand Ambassadors and Olympic skateboarding medalists Keegan Palmer, Cory Juneau, and padel star Marta Ortega, creators Coco Rebecca Edogamhe and Hannah Müller-Hillebrand, cultural entrepreneur Helen Nonini, entrepreneurs Stuart Parr and Ozlem Onal were among the notable guests who joined a night of immersive experiences and a special chef performance by Chef Paolo Griffa.

The inaugural edition of Art Basel Qatar will be held in M7 creative hub and the Doha Design District in downtown Msheireb, in proximity to world-renowned landmarks including the National Museum of Qatar.
This partnership builds upon Qatar's singular cultural vision and amplifies Art Basel's unifying power to create new opportunities for the production, dissemination and discovery of art, going well beyond the operation of an art fair through year-round touchpoints both in Qatar and across Art Basel’s global platform. Art Basel Qatar will offer a gateway into the creative culture of the Middle East for the stakeholders and audiences of Art Basel and expand the circle of collectors, gallerists, artists and cultural leaders from the MENA region and around the world. The fair will launch as a tightly curated showcase featuring a select group of leading galleries and artists, designed to respond to today’s market while laying the foundation for growth. Through educational programming and market development strategies, public arts engagement and more, Art Basel Qatar will holistically weave into the fabric of Qatar and further catalyse a growing collector and gallery network.
Charged by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani with realising Qatar’s ambitions across multiple areas of social and economic development, Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums, has elevated the nation to a leading position in global cultural exchange.

Qatar has assembled world-class art collections, developed a growing list of celebrated museums and exhibitions, founded design and photography festivals and established incubators for the film, fashion and design industries. Ongoing initiatives include the creation of the future Art Mill Museum, development of the future Lusail Museum and the establishment of a permanent Qatar Pavilion in Venice in the Giardini de la Biennale di Venezia.
Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums (QM), said, “As part of His Highness the Amir’s National Vision 2030, Qatar has been transforming itself into a knowledge-based economy, with culture and the creative industries helping to lead the way. We have built a thriving ecosystem of culture and sports, harnessing the capacity of both to break down barriers, create shared experiences, increase understanding and drive positive change. We have opened the National Museum of Qatar and the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, and this year we will launch the Lusail Museum and DADU: Children’s Museum of Qatar. We have also opened a variety of creative hubs — from the Fire Station: Artist in Residence to M7 and Liwan Design Studios and Labs. When we welcomed the world to Hamad International Airport for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, the power of merging culture with sports could not have been more evident. As Qatar Museums marks its twentieth anniversary, we are pleased to welcome the Art Basel organisation as our partner to further elevate Qatar’s initiatives to support the creative industries of our region, offering exceptional new artistic experiences and opportunities to our talent.”
His Excellency Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Chairman of Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), said, “As a leading investor in sports, culture, entertainment and lifestyle, QSI is very proud and excited to play a role in bringing the world-renowned Art Basel fair to Qatar and our region as part of the legacy of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. As that event demonstrated so unforgettably, sports and culture are closely linked in their capacity to unite people and bring the world together, which is at the heart of QSI’s mission. We are delighted to work with QC+ and to welcome Art Basel to Qatar—a partnership that will inspire the region and bring further investment to a great cultural organisation.”
QC+, a key member of the Art Basel Qatar partnership, brings a rich legacy of supporting the arts and is a natural collaborator in bringing the world-renowned art fair to Doha. With its expertise in cultural commerce and art curation, exhibition design and visitor engagement, QC+ has played a pivotal role in developing Qatar’s cultural infrastructure.
Art Basel brings to this project its 50-year history of creating the world’s leading art fairs in Europe, the Americas and Asia. Defined by its host city and region, each Art Basel show is unique, as reflected in its participating galleries, artworks presented and the parallel programming produced in collaboration with local institutions.
Andrea Zappia, Chairman and Group CEO at MCH Group, said, “We are very proud to work with QSI and QC+. This is a groundbreaking project based on the unity of intent of ambitious organisations and we believe we will build something completely new that will attract art buyers and fans from the region and all over the world. We want to thank the partners who, under His Highness the Amir’s leadership, strongly believed in this collaboration from the very first day and have chosen Art Basel as a key driver to support Qatar’s cultural, sport and touristic vision. We are committed to Art Basel’s growth and following the launch
of Art Basel Paris in 2022 we are ready to add a fifth fair to our exclusive and successful portfolio. MCH Group, owner of Art Basel, is committed to contributing unique resources and capabilities to this partnership to ensure its long-term success.”
Noah Horowitz, Chief Executive Officer of Art Basel, said, “Growing the global art market, supporting artists and galleries and developing new collecting audiences is core to Art Basel’s mission. The art scene across the MENA region has undergone exponential growth in recent decades, with the establishment of world-class institutions, the launch of leading cultural events and the growth of a vibrant community of artists, galleries and professionals. We are compelled by Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani’s singular vision for the arts ecosystem in Qatar, and we share a commitment to supporting artists in realising their highest potential. We are equally energised by the opportunities unlocked by our collaboration with QSI and QC+ to create new touchpoints for the broadest possible audiences. Qatar’s depth of collections, history of building great cultural institutions and unique role as an incubator and supporter of talent position the new Art Basel Qatar for success on the world stage.”

296 SPECIALE A SPECIALE
EN PLEIN AIR DRIVING THRILLS
REACH NEW HEIGHTS

Ferrari has presented its latest special version model, the 296 Speciale A, a midrear engined plug-in hybrid spider. The car joins the Scuderia Spider 16M, the 458 Speciale A, and the 488 Pista Spider, an ultraexclusive dynasty of special versions of Ferrari’s berlinetta-derived spiders, and aims to become the new benchmark of the range - as well as the market - in terms of top-down driving thrills.

The 296 Speciale A adds the retractable hardtop (RHT) to the coupé’s incredible qualities of agile handling, responsiveness and stability, qualities that, together with the additional appeal of being able to drive in the open air, make it unrivalled. This special version not only multiplies the already extraordinary performance of the 296 GTS but also introduces a sense of predictability and intuitiveness that makes this a car unlike any other. Conceived for the Ferrarista who demands an unrivalled driving experience, the 296 Speciale A represents the new pinnacle for this model type and is dedicated to owners in search of that special feeling of being at the wheel of a car with extraordinary performance.

The 296 Speciale A takes the agility and responsiveness of the 296 GTS to extreme new heights by exploiting the full potential of its plug-in hybrid architecture, consisting of a rear-mid 120° V6 twin turbo engine and an electric motor, a short wheelbase and innovative dynamic control systems. The drivetrain delivers an astonishing combined power output of 880 hp, 50 more than the 296 GTS and a record for a rear-wheel-drive production Ferrari.
To make these results possible, Ferrari drew extensively from its experience in motor sports: the internal combustion engine borrows from the powerplant of the 296 Challenge in terms of engine management maps and boost strategy, and boasts titanium connecting rods, reinforced pistons and a lightened crankshaft. All these elements, together with a knock control system derived from Formula 1, have raised the power output of the V6 to 700 cv, 37 more than the model this special version is based on. The V6 engine of the 296 Speciale A maintains its distinctive timbre, a sound consisting of the pure harmonics of the 3rd, 6th, and 9th combustion orders which, in this application, have gained in quality, intensity and volume.
The electric motor has also been uprated and is now capable of delivering 180 cv in the new extra boost mode. This increase in power has also made it possible to introduce a new strategy for the eight-speed DCT transmission, which makes use of additional torque during shifts to shorten shift times and increase both performance and driver engagement.
The 296 Speciale A generates 435 kg of downforce at 250 km/h with the roof up – 20% more than the 296 GTS – thanks to innovative solutions developed and tested on the 296 Challenge. These include the aero damper integrated into the front bonnet and the vertical fins on the rear bumper which incorporate new side wings that work in synergy with the active rear spoiler to generate additional downforce. The spoiler is now managed by a new actuator control strategy that not only shortens the transition time between Low Drag (LD) and High Downforce (HD) configurations by 50% but also introduces a new Medium Downforce (MD) configuration, which improves rear-end stability at high speeds.
A great deal of attention was dedicated to saving weight, which is crucial for increasing driving thrills. Overall weight has been reduced by 50 kg compared with the 296 GTS by using materials such as carbon fibre for some of the bodyshell parts and titanium for components in the engine. The resulting weight/power ratio is just 1.69 kg/ cv, a record for a rear-wheel-drive Ferrari berlinetta spider.
To accentuate the dynamic capabilities of the 296 Speciale A and ensure that the car behaves predictably when driven at the limit, Ferrari’s engineers also worked on fine-tuning the electronic control systems, suspension set-up and tyres. The 296 Speciale A is equipped with the latest generation of the ABS Evo dynamic control system, which improves braking precision and repeatability in all surface and grip conditions. The spring and damper settings have been revised – the car now rides 5 mm lower than the 296 GTS – reducing maximum roll angle when cornering by 13% and improving the behaviour of the car at the limit.

ASTON MARTIN DBX S
A NEW FLAGSHIP FOR THE SUPERCAR OF SUVS
Gaydon: Aston Martin is proud to announce the arrival of a new DBX flagship, DBX S. With the dynamic appeal of DBX707 and an engine enhanced by technology transferred directly from the forthcoming Valhalla supercar, DBX S offers one of the most engaging and responsive driving experiences delivering even more power, reduced weight and more assertive design. With a suite of exterior and interior enhancements to match, the DBX S certainly has its own undeniable identity.
DBX S continues a long tradition of Aston Martin’s utilising the ‘S’ suffix to denote a special, high-performance version of an existing model; the first being Vanquish S which made its public debut at the Paris Motor Show in 2004. DBX S proves that lighter variants with more power and performance are still very much part of Aston Martin’s core production offering and looks to continue a lineage of notable high performing models.
Aston Martin CEO, Adrian Hallmark, said ‘Over the last two years, Aston Martin have introduced an entire core collection of next generation sports cars as well as a new DBX; all with a new, entirely bespoke infotainment system designed in-house. The marque continues its focus on class leading performance, ultra-luxury design and innovation, broadening the range of products under each core model. The introduction of DBX S not only reaffirms our commitment to producing the most exciting, rewarding and beautiful cars, it also sends a powerful statement of intent about our ambitions not just for DBX, but for the Aston Martin brand.”
At the heart of the new DBX S lies an upgraded version of the acclaimed Aston Martin 4.0-Litre Twin-Turbo V8 powerhouse. By using turbo technology transferred directly from the upcoming Valhalla supercar including its larger compressor wheel diameters and other internal improvements, power is raised by a further 20PS to 727PS and provides even greater urgency at the very top of the rev range, making DBX S’s performance even more memorable.
ASTON MARTIN DBX S

SThe result is a 0-62mph time of just 3.3 seconds and reduction in acceleration time from 0-124mph (200km/h) of 0.3 seconds. Top speed remains unchanged at an impressive 193mph.
Further enhancing both performance and its perception is a modified exhaust system amplifying even more character to the natural voice of the thunderous V8 engine and exploiting the full the opportunity presented by the engine’s turbo enhancements.
As with its DBX707 stablemate, DBX S distributes its power between the front and rear wheels in variable proportion – including an ability to send 50 per cent of its torque to the front and up to 100 per cent of its torque to the rear wheels alone - through an innovative 9-speed ‘wet clutch’ transmission, which removes the need for a conventional torque converter, delivering extreme performance on launch from standstill. However, the DBX S gearbox has been further modified to provide an even more memorable driving experience. Change up points are adjusted to reflect the car’s extended rev range, while downshifts in Sport and Sport + modes when the car is in automatic are even more aggressive.

ASTON MARTIN DBX S
In addition to the power upgrade, a number of measures have been taken not only to significantly reduce the kerb weight of DBX S, but to do so in an intelligent and highly selective fashion that ensures that mere weight loss is just one of attributes resulting from these actions. A prime example is the new optional carbon fibre roof presented in a glorious single weave pattern which, at almost three metres square, is by far the largest such carbon element ever fitted to an Aston Martin. Specification of the carbon roof sees the removal of the roof rails, and as a combination not only saves 18kg of mass, but does so from the very highest point of the car, reducing its centre of gravity and therefore enhancing both stability and agility further.
Magnesium wheels are also now available as an option for the first time on any car in the SUV segment. Magnesium is not only robust, but an incredibly lightweight material, some 75 per cent lighter than steel; half the weight of titanium and a third less even than aluminium. In selecting this 23” optional wheel, a further 19kg of unsprung mass is saved, delivering improvements in ride quality, steering precision and feel, as well the car’s more immediate reaction to direction input. DBX S is also available to order with 23” forged aluminium wheels as standard.

TECHNOLOGY AND A MORE POWERFUL ENGINE
Performance
The 2.0-liter engine gives all the power needed for all trips. MIVEC technology allows the engine to combine maximum power output, fuel efficiency, and environmental performance. The Maximum Torque of the engine is 197Nm / 4,200rpm generating a maximum Output of 110kW.
The MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspensions make driving on rough roads smooth and comfortable, while the shock absorbers and stabilizers are precision-tuned for responsive handling and sporty, comfortable performance.
On the road, drivers can choose between 3 driving modes to best match your preferred driving style and road conditions for fuel-efficient driving and outstanding 4WD performance. The engine is teamed with the INVECSIII (Intelligent & Innovative Vehicle Electronic Control System) CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), ideally tuned to deliver effortless acceleration from any speed. The Active Stability Control system uses onboard sensors to analyze the vehicle’s motion and identify lateral wheel slippage. By governing engine output and applying braking power to the appropriate wheels, ASC system helps to maintain stability and control. In addition, a gear shift indicator in the multi-information display recommends the best shift timing for current driving conditions.
Safety at its Best
The Mitsubishi ASX is equipped with plenty of features that enhance the safety measures and ensure the maximum protection of the driver and passengers. These features include Blind Spot Warning (BSW) / Lane Change Assist (LCA) which uses radar sensors in the rear bumper to detect vehicles in rear blind spots, on the right and left sides. An indicator appears in the door mirror when BSW is active and the turn signals are off. When a vehicle is detected while the turn signal is on, an indicator blinks in the corresponding door mirror and a buzzer sounds.

The available 7-airbag system helps protect every passenger in every seat. For protection in frontal collisions, front passengers get front airbags and a knee airbag on the driver's side. In a side collision, front passengers are protected by side airbags while both rows are protected by curtain airbags.
When Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) is active, an indicator appears in the combination meter display. If radar sensors in the rear bumper detect an approaching vehicle nearby while reverse gear is engaged, a warning message appears in the multi-information display, a buzzer sounds and an indicator blinks in both door mirrors. The T-shaped rear combination lamps have a wide and stable look and feel. The brake lights illuminate independently for better visibility.
The ASX is also equipped with Hill Start Assist (HSA) system that makes it easy to start off on a steep uphill slope by preventing the vehicle from rolling backward. When a gradient is detected, it automatically maintains the braking force until the accelerator is applied. When sudden braking is detected, Emergency Stop Signal System helps reduce the chance of a rear collision by automatically flashing your hazards to warn the driver behind.

Investing IN STOCKS CAN BE A POWERFUL WAY TO GROW YOUR WEALTH OVER TIME!

MOHAMED ROBIN RASHED ELALAMI
Business Consultant/Interpreneur
Investing in stocks can be a powerful way to grow your wealth over time, but it is important to understand when and how to get started. The best time to begin investing is as early as possible, even with a small amount of money. This allows you to take advantage of compound growth, where your earnings generate more earnings over time. However, it is also essential to make sure you have a stable financial foundation first, including an emergency fund and manageable debt, before putting money into the stock market.

When it comes to how to invest, start by defining your financial goals and risk tolerance. Are you saving for retirement, a house, or a long-term goal? Based on your timeline and comfort with risk, you can choose between different types of stocks and funds. A common starting point is to invest in index funds or exchange-traded funds (ETFs), which provide broad exposure to the market and reduce risk through diversification. If you are interested in individual stocks, research the company’s financial health, industry position, and growth potential before investing.
It is also smart to use a brokerage account or investment app that aligns with your level of experience. Many platforms offer low or no fees, educational tools, and automated options like robot-advisors. Regularly investing a set amount, known as dollar-cost averaging, can help reduce the impact of market volatility and build discipline over time.
Lastly, stay patient. Stock investing is most effective as a long-term strategy. Markets can fluctuate in the short term, but historically they have trended upward over the long run. By staying informed, diversifying your investments, and avoiding emotional decisions, you will be better positioned for financial success.
