Evidence from 2 RCT's shows no difference in the rate of congenital anomalies as compared to natural progesterone(Griesinger, et al., 2018, Tournaye, et al., 2017), however, the GDG considers these data insufficient to make a firm statement there is a lack of long-term offspring health studies.
Оскільки дидрогестерон є пероральним прогестином, який відрізняється по структурі від природного прогестерону, є побоювання щодо безпеки для потомства. Докази двох РКД демонструють відсутність різниці в частоті вроджених аномалій в порівнянні з натуральним прогестероном (Griesinger, et al., 2018, Tourney, et. al 2017), проте робоча група з розробки гайдлайна вважає наявні дані недостатніми.
