The World-Famous Water Karst Cave.

A Krizna a világ eddig feltárt leghosszabb tavasbarlangja Szlovéniában, ahol mintegy ötven, gyönyörű zöld árnyalatokban tündöklő tó fekszik, tele cseppkőoszlopokkal, s ahol egyedi, védett állatvilág él. A világon a negyedikként jegyzik ezt a helyet a barlangban élő állatok különlegessége szempontjából. A barlangban az állandó hőmérséklet egész évben: +8°C. A barlang kristálytiszta vize a Bloke-fennsíkről érkezik a barlangrendszerbe, mielőtt visszatér a felszínre Cerknica mezőin a Steberscica-patak alakjában.

HAJÓKÁZZON A BARLANG ELSŐ TAVÁN! (1-1,15 ÓRA)

A barlang bejáratánál hatalmas belső terem fogadja a látogatókat. Pár száz méter megtétele után a természetes fény elhalványul, majd teljesen besötétül minden. Innentől kezdve kézi- és fejlámpák világitásánál lehet cask élvezni a barlang szépségeit. A barlang főútján haladva óriási méretű és csodás alakzatú cseppkövek láthatók. A látogatás során 10 perces hajóútra van lehetőség az első tavon, majd a turistákat visszavezetik a bejárathoz. Egyszerre akár 60 fős csoport is kirándulhat a barlangban, ahol a hideg miatt ajánlott a meleg öltözet, a hosszú nadrág, a zokini, s a zárt cipő.

VIZES ÉLMÉNYEK (3,5-4 óra)

A barlang különlegességei a mésztufa gátakkal elválasztott tavak, van olyan lehetőség, amelynek során az első tavon túl lehet haladni, hogy még több »vizes« élményt szerezhessen a látogató, de ez nehéz túra. Viszont feledhetetlen. A barlang belső rendszerében az egyik tóból a másikba áramlik a víz, s a barlangban folyamatosan fejlődnek, nőnek a cseppkövek, amelyeknek már nevük is van (Velence kikötője, Kalózhajó, Orgonasíp, Hiúz…) A túra a Kálvária teremben fejeződik be, amely két részre oszlik, az északi és az észak-keleti területre. A barlangrendszer megóvása érdekében az utolsó passzázs csak 1-4 fő által látogatható egyidőben, évbente kb. 1000 ember jut el ide.

ALTERNATÍV TÚRÁK

Az első tó és a Medve alagút meglátogatása (1,5-2 óra) – előzetes helyfoglalás alapján, az év minden napján. Vezetett túra a Kristály-hegyre (6,5-7 óra) – előzetes helyfoglalás alapján októbertől márciusig (csak 100 belépőt adnak ki erre a programra évente).

Križna cave is a worldwide attraction known as the water karst cave. Its features are underground lakes with sinter’s barriers and an extremely interesting site with bones of bears, along with the naturally preserved environment for animals. Air temperature inside the cave is constant throughout the whole year +8°C. The cave draws off water from the plateau of Bloke (Bloška planota) towards the eastern margin of the Cerknica Polje. The cave ranks as the fourth in the world by the number of genuine cave animal species.

VISIT WITH BOAT RIDE ON FIRST LAKE (1-1,15h)

The entrance part of the cave is well known by its huge halls. The natural light disappears after a few hundred meters and visitors continue to explore the cave with hand lamps. The main passage continues through the Great hall towards sinter’s Čimboraso where some fascinating bones of cave bears can be seen, both astonishing in size and number. The path continues through the passage which drains off water from the first lake. The visit is followed by a 10-minute boat ride on the first lake. After the boat ride we go back to the entrance. A one-hour visit is also suitable for groups of up to 60 people. Don’t forget to bring warm clothes: trousers, a pullover, a long-sleeved shirt and warm socks.

WATER PART TO CALVARY (3,5-4h)

After seeing the first lake, we continue over the rocks to the second lake. In the middle of the lake the ceiling lowers and makes the passage to the water part difficult. This is the start of the unforgettable part of the visit. Water streams over calcareous sinter barrages from one lake to another. The water covers stalagmites and columns, which gives the impression of rising structures (Port of Venice, Pirate’s ship, Church organ, Lynx). The tour ends at Calvary (Kalvarija). In this hall, which is full of stalagmites and stalactites, the cave divides into Northern part – Mud (Blata) and North-eastern part – Coloured passage (Pisani rov). Due to cave protection, this part can be visited by a single group of up to 4 people daily, but no more than 1,000 visitors every year.

Visit with boat ride on first lake and Bear tunel (1,5-2h) - By prior arrangement (all days in the year). Guided tour to Crystal mountain (6,5-7h) - By prior arrangement in winter time from October to March (only up to 100 visitors a year).
