McGraw Ranch - 2018 Private Treaty Bull Sale Catalog

Page 2

Thank you for your interest in our program! This is our first year sending out a catalogue on our sale bulls. We have raised, used, and sold our bulls for the last 3 years, and have been very pleased with the calves and genetics we have to offer. We run a 200 cow commercial herd that we use our bulls on. In 2016 our big run of September weaned calves were in the top groups sold at Torrington Livestock, and 2017 proved the same at High Plains Livestock Exchange in Brush, CO. Not every bull calf born is grown and sold as a bull, and we continue to maintain a strict culling process for soundness, growth and temperament on these calves to offer you the best set of sale bulls we can. We have had the privilege of meeting some of the best breeders in the nation the last few years while expanding our Purebred herd. A very special thank you to my Mom and Dad at D Lazy M Livestock for such a good base herd of cows to get started with and build on. Also, thank you to the Altenburg Super Baldy Ranch of Colorado, Taubenheim Gelbvieh of Nebraska, Kenner Simmentals of North Dakota, Eichacker Simmentals of South Dakota, and Beiber Red Angus of South Dakota, for sharing their females and genetics with us. We would love to visit more about these bulls with you, and are available for questions at any time. Siblings, Dams, and some Sires of these calves are available to view as well. Thank you very much for your time and interest in our program!

Sean, Emily, Eli and Acey McGraw

Bulls were grown on a 60/40 Accuration feed, with grass and alfalfa hay. We strongly believe in developing and growing bulls for soundness and longevity throughout their breeding career, not pushing feedlot rations. A big thank you to Bob Pemberton at Northern Feed and Bean for helping us manage a ration to fit our program. Our 2-year-old bulls for sale have been fed grass and alfalfa hay only, mimicking how most ranching operations feed their bulls throughout the winter so that you can have a realistic idea of what to expect on these bulls.

EPD’s for any unregistered bulls are the Sire’s available EPDs, and the average EPD for a Dam of their respective breed.
