What a year, with a green Western Kansas landscape in the middle of July, a cattle market that continues to perform with vigor and energy, and a horse market that remains on solid footing. There certainly is a lot to be thankful for.

Backed by a passion for quality, performance livestock, we continue to build and develop our Hereford Cattle and Quarter Horse programs. Our cattle are worked horseback and we remain a “saddle horse” outfit that uses horses to accomplish the daily ranching tasks. We ride the genetics that we breed.

The focus in our Quarter Horse breeding program

remains centered on breeding and developing the ultimate ranch horse through an optimum blend of cow horse, arena performance and speed horse genetics. The outgrowth of this focus has produced horses that are genetically “arena ready” and are performing successfully in multiple disciplines.

Highlighting the offering this year is the 2025 foal crop, headlined by freshman sire Sixes Frosted Suede. We are excited to present the foal crop, which includes our long-standing genetics with some new sires stirred in. We believe they continue to move us in a good direction in our breeding program.

The saddle horses are an outstanding group of young, home raised horses along with older, seasoned mounts consigned by family, friends and ranch employees. We look forward to watching them continue to perform. The goal is to meet the

needs of our customers, whether you are a rancher, arena performance rider, or a pleasure rider.

Also, the select offering of older, elite broodmares right out of the heart of the broodmare band represents a rare opportunity to acquire some of the genetics and quality that have propelled our program through the years.

GUARANTEE: Every animal in this sale is, to the best of our knowledge, free from disease or defect. Any known defect will be called at sale time. Each horse has passed a general, visual vet exam for physical soundness. They will be guaranteed to pass an x-ray vet exam within 24 hours after the sale with a veterinarian of mutual agreement between buyer and seller. Inspection will be paid by the buyer as long as the horse passes the exam. Potential buyers should thoroughly examine their horses of interest… all sales are absolutely final. Horses are at the buyers risk, expense and responsibility from time of purchase. No other warranty or guarantee is expressed or implied.

HEALTH: Health of the horses is excellent. Health papers will be furnished for shipment including a negative Coggins test.

PREGNANCY STATUS: Broodmares will be pregnancy checked with results given sale day. Mares safe in foal sell as breeders with no further guarantee.

REGISTRATION & TRANSFER: AQHA registration certificates will be transferred to buyers at seller’s expense. At time of settlement, buyers must give complete

name and address for making transfers including AQHA membership number if available.

LOADOUT: Loadout of horses is available at sale completion. No loadout during the sale unless prior arrangements have been made. All loadout will be directed by the Jamison sale crew foreman and at his convenience. Sale clerks will provide loadout papers at settlement.

Dallypost Parrdunme (Pard) & Mares

In 2012 we started pasturing a broodmare band for Dwight Hill from Rexburg Idaho. Dwight is an exceptional horse breeder and one of the best horsemen I’ve had the pleasure of working with. He’s spent a lot of years putting together an outstanding horse program producing horses that are good looking, athletic, good minded and well suited for many different disciplines, from the arena to making lots of miles in big country. Many of the mares go back to a great stud called Smokes Cheeta that Dwight bought as a weanling in the late eighties, trained and took to Reno as a four year old, winning Top Horse at the Reno Ranch Hand Rodeo and later several open bridle horse championships. He is out of a son of Mr. Gun Smoke and Docs Cheetah, a daughter of Doc Bar. Most of the mares Dwight sent to our place went back to Smokes Cheeta and accompanying them was Dallypost Parrdunme. With Sugar Bars, Zan Parr Bar, and Two Eyed Jack in his lineage, good conformation, and a kind disposition Dallypost Parrdunme produced some outstanding horses for us. His offspring have generally been good minded, good looking, athletic and very cowy, quite often with a tendency to be cow biters. We had to send Dwight’s mares home a number of years ago because of drought but kept a lot of fillies out of them. These now make up Arctic Boon Cat’s mare band. Pard stayed here as well until his death a couple years ago at a ripe old age.

Sired by Once in a Blu Boon who has lifetime earnings of over $300,000 with offspring earnings of over $14 million, and grandson of all time leading cutting horse sire Highbrow Cat on the dam’s side, he brings a powerful dose of genetics to the table. Standing around 15 hands with good foot and bone his disposition has always been outstanding. Easy to start, I was roping calves in the pasture on him after only about 15 rides. This colt is one that I think should excel as a performance horse or as a cool ranch horse. Four black feet, a pretty bay roan color and plenty of athletic ability make him one you notice in the pen. Dallypost Cowboy (Grumpy)

“Grumpy”  is by Dallypost Parrdunme and out of a mare called Sevens Cowboy Diva that Jessie bought in 2005 from Bill and Rita White of Ashby NE. She was out of Bill’s stud, Suns Cowboy a grandson of Doc Olena and great grandson of Sugar Bars and Peppy San, that Bill showed successfully a lot in the Midwest. The mare, A Brandy Twist, was a granddaughter of Docs Lynx and great granddaughter of Two Eyed Jack. Every colt or filly that we got out of Darlin was extremely easy to start and had a real “stay broke” kind of mentality. Grumpy himself was very easy to start and has proven himself in every kind of ranch work from dragging calves to starting colts. He’s got a lot of grit, is very cowy (kind of a cow biter), and has maintained his composure in some situations that might have gotten you in a wreck on a lot of horses. After Pard died a few years ago Grumpy took over his mare band and we’ve been really happy with his offspring.

Roller is a big, pretty, athletic 8 year old gelding that has been one of my favorites that I’ve ever owned. He has done most things on the ranch from sorting to dragging calves to the fire. He has also been used as a pickup horse a couple times. Roller has been my go to for a couple of years and usually gets the call for the tough jobs. He has no buck with time off but a beginner wouldn’t be comfortable on him if he’s been sitting. Roller is a product of the Jamison program that I picked up as a yearling. He is a son of High Driftin Gold and has the size and looks to prove it but the mare’s DNA came back wrong so he is grade but it sure hasn’t bothered him much.
