In 2017, Patrick called us in search of a purebred donor to headlinehisprogram. After visiting a while, Iknewhe was looking to add a serious female to his lineup, and if we were going to provide those genetics, we were going to have to let go of something good. We eventually made a deal for MF Pink to move to Taylor Farmsin Midway where she hasrecorded a total of79 progeny in the ASA database andcontinued to produce embryos at 16 years of age.
Pink has made a significant contribution to Taylor Farms' program, including both sons that have walked the pastures as herd sires and daughters that have earned their way into the donor pen. Lot 5's dam was the pick of the heifers from a big flush to Tahoe, and her sire's pedigree layers in another powerful maternal influence in the dam of Resource, 8452. It's difficult to put a price on what a cow family like this is worth, but it can absolutely become the one you build it all around.
