SUMMER 2019

WHEN YOU’RE ON A ROLL …

Liverpool on a Roll made a triumphant return to Greenway Park in West Hoxton in November, fresh from its debut success earlier this year. The global food festival has quickly become a ‘don’t miss’ event, with thousands flocking to sample tasty treats from around the world. “Liverpool on a Roll is a fantastic celebration of South West Sydney’s vibrant multicultural community and a great way to bring the best in food to our suburbs,” Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said. “With delicious and affordable international cuisine for $12 or less, live music, a pop-up beer garden, garden games and the addition of the Willowdale Open-Air Arcade, our second edition of Liverpool on a Roll was a treat for locals and visitors to the city alike.”

SMASH HITS McGirr Park in Miller will be home to four new tennis courts by the end of the year. Mayor Wendy Waller was joined by Councillors Nathan Hagarty, Karress Rhodes, Peter Harle and Geoff Shelton to kick off work on a new tennis centre at the park. The McGirr Park facility includes two synthetic grass courts, two acrylic courts, an amenities building,

lighting, landscaping, paths and car parking. If you’re looking to cool off this summer, don’t forget Bigge Park’s water playground is now better than ever with a new amenities building. The building features automated accessible toilets, family change rooms and individual changing stalls.
