Stewart Sherman-Kahn, member of Birmingham Chinatown Lions, has been named an International Board Appointee for 2023/24 by Lions Clubs International.

Col Dame Kelly Holmes MBE (mil) honorary member of Tonbridge Lions, has opened the LIBRA funded blood cancer unit at King’s College Hospital. LIBRA is the Lions International Blood Research Appeal and the official charity for the hospital’s Haematology Department.

Representatives of Team Special Olympics Great Britain (including Phil Nathan MBE and other members of the Centennial 100 Champions Lions Club) were invited by the Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, to a celebratory Garden Party at 10 Downing Street in recognition of the fantastic achievement of athletes and the support of its volunteers at the Berlin 2023 Special Olympics World Games.
