Concept • Location: VietArc Exhibition in Giang Vo Exhibition Center, Dong Da district, Hanoi, Vietnam • Professional project ( built) • Group work • Role : member • The contribution: work in the concept team from the very first day taking part in the competition and continue as one of the team to bring the project to real life.

Concept VIETARC was an anual exhibition which was hold by Institute of Vietnamese Architects with the participating of many domestic and international architecture, engineering and construction companies.

The project was known as a exhibition space in VIETARC displaying the most excellent graduate student projects of archiecture universities in Hanoi in 04/2012. At the beginning, this is a competition between three biggest architecture universities of Hanoi and my team representing National University of Civil Engineering (NUCE).

After a numerous arguements, with this symple but different concept, we won and had the right to build it ourselves.

Vietarc student space Materials The concept reached the requirement of organizers: low cost, easy to build and easy - recycled materials.

The structure of construction made from steel and covered by clean carton then we use its wall to hang excellent student projects as student exhibition.

The students became the main force work for this pavilion.

They was freshman and second-years students from many universities.

Teamwork was very fun and gave me many valueable experiences.

This factory has existed for over 50 years, the gorverment planed to move it out of the city. It is one of a number of factories was built in 60’s to improve the industry and become a irreplaceable symbol of historical time.

Purpose of renovating this factory to an art school is refind the meaning of the building, turning a factory which only produces machine (old and rough) to a “factory” produces art idea (new, nexible and colorful).

This factory which located in Ha Dong district, Hanoi, Vietnam has an extremely beautiful environment included two rivers and an ancient silk village named Van Phuc. It will be an inspired fanstatic atmosphere for art work spaces Gross area : 4.1hectares Different from majority of factories at the same time, this one was built follow curve shape of the site which makes it be more gentle and familliar to nature.

In spite of going through long time of using, almost infrastructure still has good quality and possible to be reformed.

Arcoding to the traditional material of Hamburg - brick always used to cover the low floors, the idea is about the conflict between the new and old, modern and traditional materials.

The competition San Francisco Bay Book House consists in proposing a space for cultural exchange that will active one or several of the unused piers of the historical Port of San Francisco. In a city filled with iconic images known around the world, this new space should become the new cultural reference of San Francisco, the flagship of the strong shoreline that is currently flowering.

The project inhabit it owns artificial horizon that works as a space between the section facing onwards to backwards with the formula to make roof and floors converge. The irruption of the piece as an elevating pier generates a new place under the same, a topography that brings tides as part of the project, diluting the limit between city and sea. The bassa Valtellina landscape Vegetation

Understanding the natural and anthropogenic features, coherences and incoherences in the landscape

Cultivation

In order to decodify the landscape elements of Valtellina, a synchronic analysis of its peculiar features has been developed. It takes into consi-deration 4 main categories: the vegetation and its variation according to the altitude and the climate conditions of the two slopes; the cultivated areas and the vineyard terraces, strong characteristics elements of Valtel -lina,; the urban settlements, industrial areas and the road network, the hydrography systems and the orography.

After the objective analysis, developing a critical approach as main reasoning tool, the structural weakness and strenghts of the landscape have been identified.

In its entirety, the projects wants to re- establish people’s awareness of the Bassa Valtellina landscape. The visual perception of the surrounding natural elements is the main tool used to recreate this relation.From this perpective, people, both locals & foreigners, are conducted and guided through determined visual frames to look at defined remarkable materials of the landscape.
