Wandering through Mittie’s charming white cottage, you’ll be spoiled for choice with a fantastic assortment of historical maps, books, postcards, and artwork souvenirs about Bulloch Hall and Roswell; as well as handcrafted goods by local artisans, including everything from silk scarves, jewelry, and pottery to birdhouses, bath products, and wooden maps. Shana Bowes’ hand-painted local vintage maps, ceramics, A’marie’s bath petal soap, Michele Design Works products, and Mud Pie, are all specifically selected for the shop. Local mixed-media artist Christina Doelling has shown her large-scale work in galleries throughout the Southeast and you can find her unique jewelry at Mittie’s. Her collection of “wearable art” is created with miniature, one-of-a-kind abstract paintings. Find adorable felted animal pencil covers, kid-friendly historical coloring books, and, of course, teddy bears. After all, the teddy bear was named after our 26th President, Theodore Roosevelt, and Bulloch Hall was the home of his mother, Mittie. As you shop, you are also helping to preserve Roswell’s history. Proceeds from every sale benefit Friends of Bulloch, Inc. a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of Bulloch Hall. Open Tuesday - Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Facebook @FriendsOfBulloch FriendsOfBulloch.org/Mitties-Gift-Shoppe 180 Bulloch Ave Roswell
