A Season of Resilience, Rhythm & Reflection

As summer’s golden haze dances into fall’s steady rhythm, our community pulses with stories of strength, discovery, and connection. From the triumph of Olympic gold medalist Masai Russell, whose grace and grit inspire the next generation, to the enduring wisdom of the late Dr. Ellen Cromwell, founder of Georgetown Hill School, we are surrounded by lives that remind us how legacy is built through passion and purpose.

In this issue, we also celebrate the everyday magic of childhood: from the laughter echoing at Great Wolf Lodge to the gentler side of wellness through children’s dentistry, therapy pets, and the healing art of music. As families gear up for back-to-school routines, we offer simple mealtime facts to ease the daily shuffle and highlight enriching extracurriculars, from martial arts to music classes, that keep young minds active and engaged.

On the cultural front, Park Potomac Day promises a vibrant showcase of local flavor and fun, while beloved voice actress Lori Alan (you know her as Pearl Krabs from SpongeBob SquarePants) reminds us of the enduring power of storytelling, something we need now more than ever.

So whether you’re soaking up your last pool days, enrolling in Jiu Jitsu, or simply walking your dog through the neighborhood, know that this season is about more than transitions, it’s about grounding ourselves in what matters most: community, compassion, and continued growth.

Going for the Olympic Gold

ALL-AMERICAN MASAI RUSSELL’S RECIPE FOR SUCCESS: BOLD CONFIDENCE, GREAT COACHING, AND UNWAVERING FAMILY SUPPORT

BY DEBRA WALLACE PHOTOGRAPHY BY TONY POWELL

When Upper Marlboro native Masai Russell was a child, she, two of her three brothers, and their father would spend countless hours on the track after school, and the entire day on weekends. This family support paved the way for her successful athletic career.

The 24-year-old Masai, an American track and field sprinter and hurdler, won the gold medal in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2024 Summer Olympics. She is also the NCAA Record holder in the 100-meter hurdles, among her many athletic accomplishments.

“If it weren’t for my mom and dad I wouldn’t be here on this international stage,” Masai tells PLM. “Not just in terms of physicality, but when it comes to my mentality and the way that I can handle challenging situations. I definitely give a lot of credit to my parents, who are always able to see the bigger picture.”

Like anyone who ultimately succeeds, Masai admits that she had rough times, especially in 2021, when she wanted to quit running. But she quickly realized, “That’s just not in me. I am so thankful I did not quit because it helped me to get to the next stage in my life.”

“I didn’t understand why I was feeling that way until I was able to make it to the

5 TOP TIPS FROM OLYMPIC GREAT MASAI RUSSELL

other side of it. It’s human nature to want to quit, especially when you are in an uncomfortable place. When you get to the other side you will be very, very, happy.” says Masai, who is clearly wise beyond her years.

In addition to the fierce family support, she credits her coaches at Potomac’s Bullis High School, home to many promising young athletes including her close friend Quincy Wilson, and her Alma mater, the University of Kentucky, “for never allowing me to have self-doubt,” especially at the beginning of her stellar sports journey.

This is fortuitous because it led to her shining moment at the 2024 Summer Olympics, where she took home a gold medal, while surrounded by her parents, siblings, and nearly 30 members of her extended family.

Looking back on her experience at the Olympics, Masai says “It feels like a dream that I never believed could come true, but it did very quickly before my eyes. Everything about it was so powerful and so magical.”

She fondly looks back at the time she spent in The Olympic Village. “It was my first time being around people from all over the world. I just couldn’t believe that I was there,” she recalls.

1. Live a healthy lifestyle with healthy nutritional habits. Stay hydrated, keep your plate full of greens, protein, and carbs. I do this both on and off-season.

2. Get Enough Sleep. I get good rest leading up to the competition because sometimes the night before the competition I get anxious and jittery.

3. Never, Ever Give Up.

“Then when I was on the boat during the opening ceremony I was talking to LeBron James and Stephen Curry, and taking pictures with them. To believe that I am one of the best athletes in the world, and to be among others who are the best, is like no other feeling.”

For Masai, using her success and celebrity to serve as a role model for young people, is something she will never take lightly. “When I sit down and understand how many people I impact, it makes me emotional,” she says.

“I have become the person that I dreamed of; I am living that life right now. I’m glad I can just guide and lead the younger generation to greatness by being their example,” says Masai.

“You don’t always have to start from being the best.  You don’t always have to start from having it all,” she says. “It takes work, but through work, you’ll get great things.  You need to have faith in who you are and your abilities.”

You’re going to have more failures than you will have great moments. What you do with those failures is going to determine that great moment. Believe in yourself, and you’re going to be okay.

4. Make time for loved ones.

I love going home to reconnect with my friends and family. We chill, go out to dinner, chat it up, and soak up each other’s energy.

5. Give Back.

I am starting a foundation for the younger athletes in underserved communities. It starts with track camps and clinics. I want to help them, guide them, and inspire them.

Paws & Perks: Where Fur Babies

Feel Right at Home!

We are a family-owned, premier doggy daycare, boarding, and grooming facility located in Potomac, MD. Tracy and Hernan are dedicated to creating a fun, safe, and enriching environment where dogs are truly considered family, not just pets. Their passion for pups of all breeds, ages, and sizes has helped their business grow into a household name in the community.

Tracy, a Maryland graduate in International Business and Public Policy, married her high school sweetheart, Hernan. Together, they built a life with two boys and two girls. Before starting Furbabies, Tracy developed a community of puppy playgroups, organized pack walks, and logged over 500 hours of dog walking in her first year. Balancing four children and the needs of her dogs was demanding, but their dream became reality when they moved from Bethesda to Potomac. Hernan left his career in skin cancer surgery to join Tracy in the business, understanding the high stakes involved in caring for animals much like caring for children.

Hernan’s surgical background brings invaluable expertise to Furbabies, infusing the business with precision, discipline, and strategic thinking. Just like in surgery, attention to detail is critical, from monitoring each pet’s health needs to managing playgroup dynamics safely. Emergency situations, whether health-related or behavioral, require calm, quick decision-making, the hallmark of Hernan’s surgical experience. The demanding nature of pet care needs resilience and discipline, qualities Hernan exemplifies, ensuring long-term success and stability. His analytical skills also help develop flexible care systems tailored to each dog’s temperament, energy, and medical needs. A deep respect for animal welfare and ethical standards guides their business, ensuring pet safety remains the top priority. Leadership and clear communication are essential, whether managing staff or reassuring pet owners through trusted relationships. Hernan’s comfort with risk and accountability fosters a trustworthy, confident environment.

Having combined their skills and experiences, Tracy and Hernan finally cracked the code to create a unique daycare using a Montessori-inspired approach for dogs. They focus on positive reinforcement, building social skills in small groups through

quality time and subconscious learning. Dogs quickly learn pack leadership fundamentals, if they know their owners provide fun, freedom, and food, they naturally listen and behave well. It’s an approach rooted in kindness, education, and understanding, and it’s become a cornerstone of their success.

For Tracy and Hernan, serving families and their furry loved ones through significant life events is a privilege. They care for puppies as young as four months and celebrate milestones alongside their clients. Over the years, Furbabies has provided homes to military dogs whose owners are deployed abroad and fostered many rescue failures, a testament to their dedication. Of course, the hardest part is saying goodbye when a beloved dog crosses the rainbow bridge, a reminder of the deep bonds they cherish with every pup in their care.

Furbabies is also devoted to community service. They advocate for animal rights and rescue efforts, partnering with local organizations like FOACAS Rescue, founded by Mindy and John Farber, to foster and groom dogs in need. Their mission extends beyond daily care, truly making a positive difference in the lives of animals and families alike.

Potomac Mixed Martial Arts and Jiu Jitsu Academy

Would you believe you can find a family-friendly school of martial arts with world-class instruction located in the heart of Potomac? Yes, it’s true. Potomac MMAis a hidden gem of martial arts instruction, in a single-family home, from one of the pioneers of the sport.

Todd Margolis founded Potomac MMA in September of 2018. This followed his many years as a top competitor who holds a 5th degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He was the first American to make the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation’s (IBJJF) Pan American Championships at the adult black belt level, as well as the first US athlete to earn a medal in the tournament’s prestigious open weight division.

Potomac MMA is open year-round. Kids from four to thirteen take classes starting at five and six pm. Adults, whose ages range from fourteen on up, compose the evening classes at seven and eight pm. Most youngsters come more than once a week to a 45-minute class, with the adult classes running for up to one hour.

Children are offered the grappling program, which includes Judo, Wrestling, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Four of Coach Todd’s six children also participate in the classes. Only in the adult classes can students learn striking, Thai boxing, which involves punching and kicking. Besides the self-defense training, adults find the classes to be an excellent way to stay fit, flexible and meet new people.

Classes are small and Todd aims to keep them that way.  In addition, he feels strongly that “It’s got to be a good fit for the school and the student.  There has to be a full buy in to what I’m doing. I’m a tough instructor and I teach the kids the same principles and techniques that I teach the adults, albeit in smaller bits of info.  If you bring yourself or your child here, you will see a positive change.”

Potomac MMA’s intent is not to turn out students only looking to win a fight. “Jiu Jitsu is the medium through which I teach, but it’s not only what we’re teaching. The goal is we’re building better human beings … kids/adults with character, discipline, hard work, friendship, kindness and humility.” He adds, “When you know what it feels like to be manhandled or can manhandle somebody yourself, there is humility in that, because you realize that there is somebody potentially better than you are.  Knowing this will keep you out of fights by giving you the confidence to walk away knowing you had a choice and you chose peace. That’s powerful!”

“I want them to be proficient in martial arts and it’s hard. This is a hard sport.  I tell the parents that if your kid comes home

Unique, Family-Friendly Classes in Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

crying because ‘the class was hard’, they are telling you the truth, and your answer should be: “Good!” Life’s not easy and I’d rather see them cry here on the mat than cry in the street, lose here than lose in the street, lose here than lose in life, and they need that adversity. Our classes are not going to be for everybody and that’s ok.”

Students and parents appreciate the studio, which took Coach Todd years to complete, noting it’s clean, well-equipped, and well-maintained. It contains two floors with over 1,000 square feet of mat space. He also designed a driveway which makes it easy to drop off and pick up. Plenty of parking, too.

Potomac MMA is located at 8400 Postoak Road, Potomac, Md. 20854. Their website: www.potomacmma.com. For more information call (301) 367-8500

MEALTIME FACTS EVERY PARENT NEEDS

When mealtimes become stressful for babies and young children, parents often turn to the internet or social media for answers, only to be met with conflicting advice and persistent myths. Understanding a few key, scientifically supported facts about feeding and swallowing can help cut through the noise and bring confidence, calm, and even joy back to the table.

As feeding specialists, we’re here to clear the confusion. Below are three of the most common questions parents ask:

1. IS PICKY EATING NORMAL?

Picky eating is common between ages 2 and 5, but if it lasts more than two years, includes fewer than 10 foods, or eliminates entire food groups, it may indicate Pediatric Feeding Disorder (PFD). Around 50% of children with feeding issues need specialized support.

2. ARE TONGUE TIES A FAD?

Tongue ties have always existed. What’s changed is awareness. Diagnosis should be based on function, not just appearance, and evaluated across all feeding types.

3. CAN EATING CAUSE INFECTIONS?

Yes. Improper tongue movement or reclined feeding can lead to food entering the lungs or ears, causing recurrent infections that need deeper evaluation.

THE Animated LORI ALAN

Growing up, Lori Alan’s performer parents cultivated her love for the arts and culture, which was a catalyst for her successful career on the stage and screen, especially as a prominent voice actor.

The 59-year-old Alan grew up in the town of Potomac and has gained acclaim for her voice role of Pearl Krabs on Nickelodeon’s  SpongeBob SquarePants (for 318 episodes over 15 seasons), as well as several animated Pixar movies, video games, TV, streaming series, and more.

She eagerly reminisces about her theater-oriented childhood. “My parents met in college at American University and both performed early on at Arena Stage,” recalls Alan. “I grew up watching my mom, Martha, perform in plays at the Montgomery Playhouse, and if she wasn’t in a production, she was producing it.”

Her father, Elliot, also ran an advertising agency, and Lori made her acting debut in a pizza commercial at age five, alongside her older sister, Lisa.

“I was backstage at the playhouse at nine years old, putting blush on for one of my first shows,  Annie Get Your Gun , and I just remember thinking, ‘I have found my people.’ There wasn’t an option for me to do anything else.”

She adds, “I think if I had come home and told my parents that I wanted to be a doctor or a lawyer, they would have been like, “What? No, absolutely not. That’s totally irresponsible. You need a minor in juggling and tap dance.’”

Alan has fond childhood memories of going to her maternal grandparents’ house in “beautiful” Arlington, Virginia. “I can picture them in the yard; my grandmother looked like Judy Garland, and my grandfather, who was in the U.S. Navy, looked like Clark Gable.”

The actor calls herself “an East Coast girl in my soul and my bones,” and credits the “grit and toughness” that she learned from her parents, and her high-quality local education for setting her on the right path.

She graduated from Winston Churchill High School in Potomac and says she is grateful for her upbringing in the DMV. “My high school was extremely challenging, so when I went off to college, I felt like it was easy compared to our Montgomery County schools.”

She also has many relatives in Gaithersburg and Rockville, and remembers her first job in high school at The Slimmery, a shop that sold diet yogurt. “Everyone else came in to lose weight, so of course, I gained 10 pounds that summer. I was a good little saleswoman.”

From The Groundlings to a Rich Voice Acting Career

After attending Emerson College, Alan worked off-Broadway and was a member of the Groundlings improv troupe. She moved to Los Angeles in 1993 and auditioned for  Mad TV and  In Living Color, striking out for both. Tired of getting so close and not getting the gigs, she took a

bunch of animation classes and booked an animated show,  SWAT Kats, that was followed by the Fantastic Four.

“I was learning on the spot with brilliant people,” Alan recalls. “I studied extremely hard, and I knew what to do. I was proud and I was good.”

Then in 1999, she auditioned for two popular animated series,  Family Guy and SpongeBob SquarePants, and with the help of her improv background, she garnered both roles. To date, Sponge Bob (both the TV series and movies) has won a staggering 75 awards including six Emmys. When she auditioned for  SpongeBob, Alan recalls the description of the character, Pearl, that she was given. “Pearl was kind of bratty, but really lovable and brash, and definitely a daddy’s girl. But I knew she had to be huge. I knew she had to be ginormous.  I just had my kind of Potomac or Valley Girl kind of vibe about her, but with a low voice.”

A Plum Role as SpongeBob’s Pearl Krabs

“Playing Pearl on SpongeBob is about drawing from my imagination and real people from my life, and just having fun. I could not be more grateful for my  SpongeBob family. We love recording together, and Tom Kenny (who voices the role of SpongeBob) is a great director and a dear friend.”

My work on SpongeBob "is a major source of pride,” she says. “I love that the show brings so much joy to people, as opposed to violence and crass humor. It’s about love and friendship, which is so precious. I love that girls who are inspired by Pearl tell me they are more confident. They tell me, ‘I’m not afraid to be myself; to be loud, creative, and feminine all at the same time.”

In addition to SpongeBob, Alan is known for voicing Diane Simmons on  Family Guy,  the Invisible Woman on Fantastic Four, and The Boss in the Metal Gear video games.

For her animation work, Alan was the recipient of an award from the Society of Voice Arts and Sciences, one of many accolades she has received. “I am insanely grateful to be surrounded by amazing people from all sides of my life.

Disney-Pixar Roles that Touch Our Hearts

In addition to animated series, Alan has recently shone in on-screen acting roles in  Curb Your Enthusiasm and  Nobody Wants This,  as well as several Disney-Pixar movies including  Monsters University and  Inside Out 1 and 2;  all projects that she loved as much as the fans. Monsters University, Inside Out 1, and Toy Story 3 are all Oscar-winning animated movies that continue to resonate with new generations.

In  Toy Story 3,  Alan plays the voice of Bonnie’s mom. She is looking forward to Toy Story 5, slated to be released in June 2026. “It’s been a dream come true to be a part of the  Toy Story franchise,” she said. “Just going to the premiere never gets old to me. This business never loses its magic.”

Throughout her rich and busy career, she says she is proud to be a strong animal rights activist and ardent fundraiser, which leads to a happy life both personally and professionally. “I feel that if we understand the importance of giving back, it leads to a full, rich, and purposeful life.”

Guaranteed to Make a Child’s Visit to the Dentist Fun!

Dentistry for Children Potomac

Dr. Eric and his team

What parent doesn’t long for a dentist his child looks forward to visiting with excitement and eagerness? Dr. Eric Armakan of Dentistry for Children Potomac may offer the answer to your child’s dentophobia. Dr. Eric is a board-certified pediatric dentist whose office resembles a fun playroom. His practice offers TVs where young patients can watch movies, colorful stuffed animals swinging from ropes (kids can take one home), two friendly office dogs greeting patients, and walls covered in chalkboard where kids can draw. Dentistry for Children prides itself on being a kid-focused, personalized practice.

Dentistry for Children opened five years ago and offers routine dental care for children from infancy through their teenage years, including cleanings, fillings, crowns, fluoride treatments, dental sealants, and restorative dentistry. Dr. Eric and his team work with parents to teach healthy oral hygiene habits to their children. In addition, Dr. Eric’s office offers prompt emergency dental care in the event of an accident with a gentle and sympathetic approach.

The Dentistry for Children Potomac team is trained to accommodate and manage the dental care of children with various developmental, medical, and behavioral conditions. For instance, some patients require more than a local anesthetic, laughing gas, or IV sedation for their treatment. The office then works with an anesthesiologist in an outpatient surgery center where the child can be safely treated.

Dr. Eric is expert-trained in the identification and treatment of oral restrictions (tongue ties, lip ties, airway issues). He understands the significance and impact of impaired tongue mobility and has lectured to other professionals on the topic over the years.

Numerous pediatric care providers including lactation consultants, speech therapists, and feeding therapists often refer patients to Dr. Eric. If deemed

necessary, Dr. Eric can perform a frenectomy to support the patient’s needs.

Dr. Eric treats patients from newborns through adults for oral restrictions. Dr. Eric’s office has connections with Shady Grove Hospital, Children’s National Hospital, and Innova Fairfax Hospital and many pediatricians will confer with him, often sending him newborns straight out of the hospital, if the infant’s medical caregivers feel the baby’s feeding or sleep concerns are due to a tongue or lip tie problem.

Adjacent to Dentistry for Children is Specialists in Orthodontics, a practice which started in 2020, the same time Dr. Eric opened his office. Dr. Eric’s team observes the need for orthodontic treatments for their six- or

seven-year-old patients, and they can offer guidance as to whether a child needs an orthodontic treatment right away or possibly in the future.

With the convenience of his patients always paramount, several of Dr. Eric’s front-desk staff are cross-trained to deal with both the dental and orthodontic practices. “Because we have so many patients that are mutual, our staff are able to navigate all things financial, cleaning, and scheduling, so our visitors can do both, get their cleaning done the same day they have a visit with the orthodontist.”

“We want to make going to the dentist fun, that’s our goal,” says Dr. Eric. And from the looks of many of the regular patients in his office, they succeed.

ASK THE VET

Q: It’s been so hot lately—how do I know if my dog is at risk for heat stroke, and what can I do to prevent it?

A: Great question — and one we hear a lot this time of year. Heat stroke is one of the most dangerous (and often preventable) emergencies we see during the summer months. Unlike humans, dogs don’t sweat to cool off; they rely on panting, which isn’t always enough in extreme temperatures.

ELLEN CROMWELL LEGACY FOR EARLY EDUCATION OF KIDS
“Ellen enjoyed seeing others give her children’s books as gifts.”

Georgetown Hill Child Care Center was founded by Ellen Cromwell in 1980. Soon thereafter, in 1982, they became an IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit. In 2006, the child care center applied for the trademark, doing business as Georgetown Hill Early School.

MISSION

"Every day at Georgetown Hill, we join together teachers, children, and their families to create an unsurpassed early childhood educational experience. We invite everyone who joins our family to embrace the values that have guided us since we began in 1980."

Georgetown Hill Early School offers educational programs for infants, toddlers, twos, threes, pre-k, transitional kindergarten, kindergarten, school-age children, and summer programming. The school has eleven locations in Montgomery, one in

Frederick, two in Prince George's County, and one in Baltimore City.

THE FOUNDER, MRS. ELLEN CROMWELL (1936-2025)

Ellen Cromwell graduated from the University of Maryland. In 1968, she began teaching preschool. In the 1970s, she continued her teaching career at several different locations in Montgomery County, gaining valuable experience working with young children.

In 1980, she struck out on her own and established the Georgetown Hill Child Care Center. Along the way, she earned a Master's Degree in Early Childhood from American University in 1978.

Over the years, Georgetown Hill's reputation and size grew. She convinced the Montgomery County School System to lease her an empty tract of land in

the early 1990s. Her son, Peter, now the CEO of Georgetown Hill, said, "That building still stands on land between Bells Mill Elementary and Cabin John Middle School. It was an unprecedented public/private partnership with the school system." It was a reflection of the reputation she built and a recognition of the critical need for early education.

Ellen Cromwell was honored as the Grand Marshal of the Potomac Day Parade in October 2019. As a longtime Potomac resident and founder of Georgetown Hill Early School, Ellen was recognized for her significant contributions to the community, particularly in the field of early childhood education.

During the parade, she was celebrated for her vision and commitment, which led to the growth of Georgetown Hill to its current 15 campuses, over 400 teachers and staff, and

more than 1,400 students. She sat back and waved to her admirers along the parade route; this was an unusual moment for her, as she typically preferred to be actively involved in teaching and community work.

Now, many of Ellen's students are grown with children of their own attending Georgetown Hill Early School.

Mrs. Ellen Cromwell passed away on March 15, 2025, at the age of 88. A celebration of her life was held on May 17th with over 150 people in attendance.

PUBLICATIONS

Over the years, Ellen literally "wrote the book" on early child care. She developed the process called PLAN®, which incorporates Play, Learning, the Arts, and Nurturing into a child’s learning experience.

"Feathers in My Cap: An Early Reading Program in Language Experience Through Art" was published in 1980. This book presents drawing, writing, speaking, listening, and storytelling activities that aid young children in learning to read.

"Quality Child Care: A Comprehensive Guide for Administrators and Teachers" was published in 1993.

She named the second edition of this book "Nurturing Readiness in Early Childhood Education: A Whole-Child Curriculum for

Ages 2-5." This second edition (1999) focuses more on the PLAN curriculum than on administering a childcare center.

Toward the end of her career and into retirement, she wrote five children's picture books: "Wiggle-Dee-Dee: A Story About Friendship" and "Splash Puddle Splash" in 2011, and "Are You Listening Potbelly?" the next year. "TALASI... A Story of Tenderness and Love" was published in 2015, and "The Bus Ride: A Timeless Story That Bonds Generations Through Shared Memories" in 2018. Ellen enjoyed seeing others give her children's books as gifts.

MAKING AN IMPACT

Georgetown Hill Early School now has more than 400 employees, with an annual turnover rate of less than 20%, making it a unique organization. As a nonprofit, they work with over 1,400 children per year, consistently preparing them for great success in one of the country’s leading public school systems and some of the most highly regarded private schools.

As noted in their GuideStar Profile, Georgetown Hill contributes to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4, Quality Education, by preparing students for school from an early age.

GEORGETOWN HILL IS GROWING!

Georgetown Hill and Ellen’s legacy continue to grow. It is opening two new schools this summer, including its first in Baltimore. Plans are well underway to open another school in Olney in the early part of 2026. Georgetown Hill is also on track to rebuild one of its schools, which was destroyed by fire in 2019, in the Woodley Gardens community of Rockville.

A LASTING LEGACY

Mrs. Ellen Cromwell's memory will live on in the hearts and minds of thousands of her students and their parents, in the readers of her sound advice about her PLAN method, and in the parents and youngsters who read her children's picture books.

Here's to you, Ellen, for a life well lived!

Back to School Music Classes

Join Bach to Rock for awesome music classes!   Beginner, intermediate, and advanced are all welcome

This year, what better way to continue your child's education than to give them the gift of music lessons?  At Bach to Rock, we're happy to teach any student on the instrument of their choice.  Whether you or your child wants to shred on guitar, crush some keyboard performances, keep the beat as a drummer, sing their favorite songs, spin some tunes as a DJ, or even record and produce their own music, we'll be sure to pair you with the teacher that's right for you.  For those little ones who are just getting started on their musical journey, we even offer early childhood classes!  We can do mommy-and-me classes for the littlest ones, early childhood music exploration classes for kids 3-5 years old, and group piano classes for kids who are 5-7 years old.

At Bach to Rock, we help students learn more than just how to play an instrument. In our Rock Band classes, our young rockstars learn important skills like collaboration, compromise, and how to perform in front of others.  Through community-wide performance events, our students can develop their

own stage presence and overcome stage fright.  They get to put their skills to use and put on shows for friends and family and do so in a safe, welcoming environment.  Nothing excites us more than seeing kids who have only been playing their instrument for a few months get in front of an audience and show off all the things they've learned at Bach to Rock!

If this sounds like a future that you want your child to have, contact our front desk to learn more!
