A father is someone we can look to for advice and encouragement, whether he's an extrovert or introvert. And, you may not always communicate your feelings to him, but writing an actual letter to dad to say “thank you” or “I love you” could be a sweet way to touch his heart.
Letters also can be a meaningful way to express sincere gratitude to grandfathers, uncles, brothers, teachers, coaches, stepdads, colleagues, men tors, sons and other men who've influenced our lives in positive ways.
June is the perfect month to let all those males know that they are superheroes in our eyes -- even mentioning that their jokes are hidden treasures, well some of them, anyway!
Grief specialists indicate writing letters to those who have passed on also can be healing: Write about how or in what ways you miss them. Detail what type of amazing legacies they left, in faith, humor, confidence, history, stories, deep roots and love. Remind yourself how much they guided you in life, and how fortunate you are to have known them.
It's nice to be reminded of what inventor and political philosopher Thomas Paine offered as a legacy concept: “The real man smiles in trouble, gathers strength from distress, and grows brave by reflection.”

Crafting Signature 'Head To Toe' Luxury Looks With Men's Clothing, Including Exclusive Phillies Apparel
Stylish men's suits, luxury shirts, jackets, jeans, sportswear, outerwear, hats, shoes, loafers, slip-ons and boots can all be secured in the heart of Newtown at Head To Toe Menswear. Want in on a store secret? Plus exclusive Philadelphia Phillies apparel that can't be gotten anywhere else locally.
“We offer customers the luxury of world-class, custom-made clothing, ones that combine timeless artistry with modern style.” ~ Will Evans
"We're transforming the way men experience shopping, merging classic style with modern versatility. The store isn't just a retail space; it’s a personalized destination for men seeking confidence through clothing, " explains H2T owner Will Evans.
His career in clothing began after graduating from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. "I was trying to make my way singing while working a part-time job in retail. For me, it was a job at Bergdorf Goodman in New York in the management training program. I was 20 years old. I found as much as I love music, the fashion, retail and an entrepreneurial mindset were my calling and matched my innovative spirit," he remembers.
Since then, Will says he owned seven different stores, eventually owning two Hugo Boss franchise stores in Palm Beach and Boca Raton, Florida. He continues, "I eventually found my way back to NYC, where I had a custom clothing business, specializing
in Italian suits. I then partnered with a barbershop to create a mobile men’s experience."
Eventually, Will with his wife, Barbara, decided to leave NYC. Will also recovered from a nail-gripping case of COVID-19 and being in a coma for 47 days, along with falling in love with Newtown, thus finding their "forever home." Will says they identified an incredible opportunity to build a business in Newtown, where Head to Toe Menswear was born.
"Special thanks go to Tom Seiler, Seiler Group managing director; Greg Conlan, owner of Relic on State; David Oxley, financial adviser; and Brian Miller, website designer. These individuals have been instrumental in the growth of my business, and have become cherished friends who continue to make a meaningful impact in my life," Will states.
Newtown City Lifestyle collaborated with Will to showcase summer apparel trends for men.
Top: Will extends his heartfelt gratitude to his clients for an incredible year and wishes everyone a very Happy Father's Day.
Bottom: Greg Conlan, co-owner of Relic On State restaurant at the corner of State Street and Centre Avenue.
Overall, American men's suit trends for 2025 embrace bold colors, patterns and relaxed silhouettes while keeping classic neutrals. Monochrome dressing, textured fabrics and wide-leg trousers are getting attention. Additionally, mixing and matching suit separates allows for versatile styling, from business to casual wear.
"Shirts in breathable fabrics are very helpful for summer," reminds Will. "We have Raffi linens in nontraditional, bright colors, such as pink and lavender."
At Head to Toe Menswear, Will says the spotlight is on custom clothing, thanks to the store’s collaboration with Di Stefano, a renowned name in bespoke fashion. Crafted in Naples, these garments reflect Italian craftsmanship, ensuring a perfect fit and personalized sophistication.
He says the shop carries TravisMathew-branded products crafted to make men look and feel their best, no matter the activity. Inspired by Southern California’s laid-back yet active lifestyle, each design leaves wearers feeling confident and comfortable. "The line transitions golf-inspired attire into lifestyle wear with stretchy, adaptable fabrics," he adds.
Regarding colors in men's fashion, current interests favor lighter shades, particularly oatmeal colors, light browns and mellow yellows, adding to dark green and navy options.
Will adds that their shoe line covers the latest versions of popular varieties. "We're here to make sure you’re outfitted, Head to Toe."

GAMEDAY MEN’S HEALTH: SCIENCE-BASED TREATMENTS DESIGNED TO HELP MEN FEEL THEIR BEST
Every man benefits from having control over his well-being. GameDay Men’s Health is a holistic, diagnostic-anchored health care company created to guide men in hormone replacement therapy through personalized treatments. The Newtown clinic team,
'man cave' experiences, offering a welcoming alternative to sterile doctor’s offices," he asserts.
Mike, a previous pharmaceutical/ medical recruiter and former professional football offensive lineman from the Doylestown area, adds, "Featuring
located at 115 Pheasant Run, Ste. 116, says they stand ready to help clients with individual goals.
"We specialize in hormone optimization to help men reclaim their energy, confidence and drive. We ensure our clients' experiences are relaxing, fast, and most importantly, that they deliver results. In essence, we help men get back to finding their passion and purpose, day in and day out," says nurse practitioner Laura Gurten, MSN, CRNP, CUNP, and GameDay Men’s Health chief operating officer.
GameDay Partner/President and brand ambassador Mike Moosbrugger says he witnesses how the services positively transform men's lives. "When looking at antiaging, our industry is like working with a financial adviser, in that it's a wise investment in your own health. Our clinicians and physicians are all about arming men with knowledge."
Additionally, GameDay’s medical clinic is designed to provide ultimate
walls with sports memorabilia, plush recliners and couches, and flat-screen TVs streaming sports in every room, GameDay creates a space where men can feel at ease. Patients are invited to relax with complimentary drinks and snacks while they wait for consultation and treatment."
GameDay service categories include:
• Hormone Optimization: Laura says this therapy boosts energy, strength and clarity through medically supervised TRT.
• Medical Weight Loss: Laura says this service burns stubborn fat, increases metabolism and helps achieve ideal body weights.
• Vitamin Therapy: Laura explains this treatment assists those whose bodies have difficulty absorbing needed vitamins and nutrients, even when eating a healthy diet, and can support reaching peak performance.
Based on a dozen concussions during football games, Mike says he's living proof about how much better men can feel after following the personalized GameDay approach, fortified with quality products and concierge services. "At 31 years of age, I felt like I had brain fog. But, I was opening fitness gyms, coaching, training and working out, so I thought I was just tired. No. After having bloodwork results, it was apparent I needed testosterone, which is often a missing building block of health.
"TRT changed my life, and it's been part of my medical regimen for 16 years. It was like driving a car in the rain without wiper blades, then suddenly having wipers."
He says one of the most frequent misconceptions is that testosterone is a steroid. "It's actually a hormone, one that helps maintain bone density, fat distribution and muscle strength, and one needed to give us enough energy to tackle daily activities."
Mike adds that men within the company's treatment community say the most rewarding parts of TRT are: not feeling exhausted; recalibrating a body's balance; decreased anxiety; less overall irritability; improved mental clarity; and significantly maximized calmness.
This year, GameDay is establishing clinics in Ontario, Canada, marking the first time the franchise expanded outside the United States. With rapid growth objectives, Mike says his franchise has plans to open 23 GameDay locations across Pennsylvania and New Jersey over the next three years, after recently adding Blue Bell, Philadelphia and Warren. "We're also contemplating starting a women-specific division."

Securing new products to delight customers truly motivates A.J. Bathena as president of the Super Buy-Rite Wines & Liquor New Jersey franchise.
With the desire for Father's Day gifts right around the corner, A.J. recommends dynamic domestic options such as American bourbons and whiskies to meet this year's nod toward bold and flavorful sippers.
In 1964, U.S. Congressmen, through Concurrent Resolution 19, formally recognized bourbon whiskey as a "distinctive
product of the United States." This declaration, passed by both the House and Senate, aimed to protect bourbon's unique character and American origins, similar to how other spirits, such as Scotch whiskey and French champagne, are protected.
To be considered bourbon, whiskey must adhere to five key rules: it must be made in the United States; have at least 51% corn in its mash; be distilled to a maximum of 160 proof (80% ABV); aged in new, charred oak barrels; and bottled at a minimum of 80 proof.
A.J. says his store at 1 Washington Crossing Pennington Road carries private barrel bourbon, also known as a private barrel pick or private selection. He adds he and his team sample private inventory at distilleries and choose the unique ones they resell, allowing them to showcase bourbons that match their taste preferences or to support limited-edition bottlings.
His suggestions for this summer are:
A wonderfully balanced, high-proof bourbon. Despite coming in at 110 proof, it offers a beautiful balance of fruit, spice and oak without the high proof taking over the whole profile. Stewed plums and dark fruits on the nose followed by a sweet palate countered by cloves and allspice. Everything's working in harmony, leading to a clean finish that lingers just long enough for the next sip. $89.99.
FINISH
With only three barrels of this initially available for all of New Jersey, A.J. says they had the privilege of getting to sample some of the tastiest Angels Envy available. Classic Angels Envy is then further aged in Oloroso Sherry casks helping impart honeycomb and other matured sugar notes drinkers can only get from Sherry. This drink's sweeter, closer to a Pedro Ximenez than an Oloroso. Rich heavy body, oily and viscous on the tongue, caramel, molasses and a nice dry sherry finish. $149.99.
RYE SINGLE BARREL:
Sweet nose with notes of creme brulee, honeysuckle and stewed fruits, followed up with a rich sweet palate but a maltier, more butterscotch sensation than the honey and fruits on the nose. This is wonderful from start to finish, across

an array of flavor profiles that prompts wanting another sip to see what else comes out of it. Incredible depth on a 6yr whiskey. $59.99.
When Pinhook left its original source for their bourbon, they purchased hundreds of barrels from Indiana and continue to age them at their new location in Kentucky, releasing a small amount each year starting with a 4yr and eventually ending with a 12yr. Starting with year five, they allowed a limited number of single barrels out into the market; A,J. confirms they were fortunate to be a part of this program since its inception. The 9yr is just the newest release from this series; while every year has been outstanding, it's amazing to see just how much better this series is getting as it approaches double digits. Sweet cream and butterscotch on the nose, honey and maple on the palate, rich body and incredibly long finish with peanuts finding their way in at the end. $84.99.

SALUTE 2 SERVICE: LEAVING NO VETERAN BEHIND FROM NEWTOWN
What began as a short-term project to collect business suits and attire for veterans morphed into one of the leading resources for military families in Bucks County under the direction of retired U.S. Marine Rodney Wyatt.
During his seven years as a veterans' representative for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Rodney says he saw firsthand just how many veterans struggle to reacclimate to civilian society. He adds he was restricted from providing many necessary services to people under his care, and some veterans were even ineligible for services.
“They don’t teach us how to transition back into society,” he explains. “Veterans are one of the most underserved and unrecognized groups in America. It should be just the opposite, because we're able to do everything we do now because of them.”
Here, the idea for what would become Salute 2 Service was born. First came a collection of suits with the goal of helping veterans dress for job interviews and other opportunities. Soon, Rodney organized a job fair to bring those opportunities directly to the veterans. The services continued to expand, and in 2013, Salute 2 Service (S2S) became an official nonprofit organization with Rodney at the helm as founder and executive director.
“I didn’t have brick and mortar at the time, so I was working out of my house in Langhorne to collect food and clothes, help veterans with their claims, and advocate for them at the state and local level,” Rodney says. “In a lot of cases, there was funding or help available, but they never knew about it. My goal was to bring awareness to them and show them what was out there.”
CONTINUED >
Over the last decade, S2S expanded to offer dozens of outreach programs, and has a revolving staff of dedicated volunteers out of their headquarters in Newtown at 190 S. Sycamore St. Core staffers include Todd Stauffer/marketing director; Linda Bucsok and Cass Disalvio/office staff; and Thaddeus Clax, Greg Moore, John Flowers, Bill Schultz/food handling.
“From the beginning, I knew it had the potential to be something huge,” Rodney says. “I look forward to growing even bigger; this is just the tip of the iceberg.”
Now that he’s no longer a 'one-man band,' Rodney oversees daily operations of the organization and communicates resources from local partners and financial assistance from grants and other forms of funding.
The boxes are filled with a mix of healthy options like fruits and vegetables, essentials for making simple meals, as well as treats.
“I always tell people I’d like to be out of business, because it'd mean that population would be taken care of; but while it’s happening, we’re going to be here trying to help,” he says.
Newtown and larger Bucks County community citizens have rallied around Rodney’s cause. “The people here are just so excited and passionate once they hear what we’re doing,” he says.
“I look forward to growing even bigger to help more — this is just the tip of the iceberg.”
One main service S2S offers is a weekly grocery pickup. In partnership with stores, such as Giant and Sam’s Club, as well as individual donors and with the help of volunteers from the Council Rock School District and beyond, veterans and others in need of assistance can pick up boxes of food each Wednesday morning at the S2S building behind Newtown’s Chandler Hall.
— Rodney
As the group works to add new programming, including financial literacy courses and a “reverse boot camp” to aid in transitions back to civilian life, Rodney says they're always seeking additional volunteers to help with tasks, ranging from grant writing and housing assistance to grocery organization and fundraising. Opportunities are listed on their website.
“My motto is we could do more with more,” Rodney says. “Everybody has a connection to the work we do here, and we could use all hands on deck.”
According to Rodney, a typical week results in cars lined up throughout the parking lot to grab a box, with as many as 60 given out regularly.

FUZE BARBER SHOP BARBERS ARE CAREFULLY ADDING LAYERS, TEXTURE IN 2025
ARTICLE BY JULIE BROWN PATTON | PHOTOGRAPHY PROVIDED BY FUZE BARBER SHOP
Fuze Barber Shop and Shaving Parlor is a "cool, refined, alternative barber salon" whose team offers classic and modern haircuts, classic shaves, beard services, long layered cuts, color treatments and more, says owner Nick Tosti.
Located at 2834 S. Eagle Road in The Village at Newtown Shopping Center, the salon sports a client lounge with complimentary beverages, tunes and flat screen TVs. "We offer an old-school-meets-new-style inspired by the Southern California barbershop experience," says Nick, a longtime Newtown resident.
"We have clients ranging from 1 year old to 80 years old, coming from Trenton, New Hope and Philadelphia. We also offer discounts to military personnel, police and firefighters," he adds.
Haircut trends or preferences can shift quickly. Newtown City Lifestyle asked three of the salon's barbers what their current favored men's haircuts and why.
JOEY VIOLA
Fave cut: Low Taper Fade
In this haircut, hair gradually transitions from longer on top to shorter at sides and back, with the shortest part of the fade starting
low on the head, around the nape of the neck and ears. Joey likes how the transition from longer hair to shorter hair is more gradual than a typical fade, resulting in a clean, blended look.
ROB FIORENTINO
Fave cut: Taper Fade Fringe
This popular, modern haircut involves gradually shortening hair on the sides and back of the head, blending it to the skin. Rob says the fringe is the part of the haircut that falls over the forehead, and it can be styled in various ways.
LUKE TOSTI
Fave cut: Skin Fade
This type of haircut tapers on the sides and back, blending short faded hair into the skin. Luke says the haircut starts with longer hair on top of the head, then gradually becomes shorter down the sides and back, toward the neck, creating a sharp and seamless transition from longer hair on top to a very short, almost shaved, finish.
