I love that the month of May is always our women’s issue. May represents change, growth and transition (all the things we women do constantly). Whether we’re talking weather, fashion or focus—I can’t think of a better month to highlight the ladies.
We’ve got the amazing duo over at Alley Boutique, inspiring women to look and feel their best outside (and in), and of course touching on some warm-weather trends.
We also feature Ashlee Kidd, owner of Revolve Business Suites. She has given many business owners (quite a few of them women) an opportunity to have a working space in Loveland that enables their business to grow and thrive. Plus, she’s having a blast being part of the Loveland community.
And Kelly Hater, owner of Trainers Spot, expanded her fitness horizons when she opened SPENGA Loveland earlier this year. I know so many women who were excited for this place to open! She shares with us why SPENGA’s workout model works well for all.
After a long winter, May is coming in bold and bright, and I have to say this issue is, too!

A Sundance all-season pergola is one of the best, most cost-effective ways to achieve the covered deck or patio you’ve been dreaming of. But don’t just take our word for it.
“We loved the design and engineering. Every component of this system is first class. They did a great job designing and installing our pergola. I’d recommend it 100%.” - Wayne
“The versatility of the louvers being able to open and close—that was an important aspect for us. We didn’t want to get an awning that blocked out the sun and nothing could get in. We wanted to have the flexibility where we can open the louvers and let some sun in or close when the rain comes.” - Cheryl

The HVAC industry is transitioning from R-410A refrigerant to the new A2L refrigerant, known as Puron Advance, as part of a nationwide effort to reduce environmental impact. While this is a positive step for sustainability, it also means higher prices and limited availability for current systems.
Here’s why you should act now:
Save Money: A2L-compatible systems come with a higher price tag due to new technology and compliance standards. Lock in current R-410A pricing before costs rise.
Keep It Simple: R-410A systems are reliable, widely supported, and fully compatible with your existing setup — no need for costly modifications.
Avoid Supply Shortages: R-410A equipment is already being phased out. Once inventory runs out, only Puron Advance systems will be available.
Time Savers Heating & Cooling is fully stocked with R-410A equipment, but supplies won’t last. Plus, starting next year, only Puron Advance systems will be available for installation, making it the new industry standard.
If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your system, now is the time to do so — don’t wait and end up paying more. Contact Time Savers Heating and Cooling today to schedule your free quote!

Walking into the brand-new SPENGA studio in Loveland doesn’t feel like walking into a gym—it feels different. Exciting. Better. From the pristine white walls to the clean, citrusy smell, SPENGA is a full experience, and one you definitely don’t want to miss. “That’s ‘SPENGA clean,’” Kelly Hater laughs when asked about the amazing smell.
TRIFECTA OF TRAINING PERFECT FOR EVERY BODY, EVERY ABILITY AND EVERY FITNESS GOAL
“WE DON’T WANT THE WORKOUTS TO BE STRESSFUL. WE WANT TO NURTURE ALL KINDS OF PEOPLE. SPENGA IS A SAFE, HEALTHY AND CLEAN PLACE TO DO THAT.”
Kelly, owner of the SPENGA Loveland franchise, says that a trip to SPENGA is like getting a “boutique spa feel, even though you’re working out.” And it’s easy to see why—everyone is friendly, the facility is gorgeous in its minimalist white and green, and the accommodations are truly top-notch. You’re not just getting a work out at SPENGA, you’re joining a community.
But what is SPENGA? Let me break it down for you ... SPENGA is a combination of Spin, Strength, and Yoga. Get it? Twenty minutes of each different workout all benefit the important yet different parts of fitness. “You’re getting the three pillars of fitness—cardio, strength, and flexibility,” Kelly testifies to why SPENGA has it all.
It all starts with 20 minutes of spinning, which gets your blood pumping and heats up the body. “We picked spin over something like running or rowing because it’s easier on your joints but still gets your heart rate up,” Kelly explains. Spin sessions are based on power. They measure how fast you’re pedaling and how much resistance you have on the bike, all to create your sweet spot—a measure of how much power you’re outputting. Instead of having a number to hit with your resistance, your SPENGA instructor challenges you to hit “zones” (which there are four of) and to find a resistance that’s comfortable for you. Follow along on the leaderboard in the spin studio, or make the workout your own and get in your own groove!
After 20 minutes of spin, you move from the bikes to the floor for 20 minutes of strength training. “Strength is needed for body composition improvement ... so, increasing your lean muscle mass,” Kelly states about the second portion of a SPENGA session. Everything is tailored to provide you with the best experience at the studio, including where you’re situated while you’re working out. You’re provided with a bike number when you sign in for the day, and that bike number is then the station number you go to in the open part of the studio for strength. That station is outfitted with everything you will need—from weights to BOSU balls and more.

Kelly, who owns both SPENGA Loveland and Trainers Spot, went to UC for exercise science and health promotion, so opening a franchise was a no-brainer for her. Kelly has been a personal trainer since her college days, and started her own business at 22. “I’m about growing myself, so I really like growing other people and pushing them to be their best.”
“It’s not about comparing yourself to anyone, it’s about what makes you happy and what makes you better,” she explains of her own goals and inspiration in the industry. With a husband and two kids, Kelly is a total boss whose hard work is visible in everything she does, including this SPENGA location. “I’ve always been into fitness and health, and I feel like fitness is such a mental help, too,” Kelly explains about her personal passion for mental health awareness. She has also dabbled in bodybuilding, even going as far as competing after she had two kids! While not still pursuing that avenue, Kelly admits with a smile, “Never say never! That spark may go off again.”
The exercises used during strength training are created by SPENGA corporate, but the instructors walk among participants while they work out, helping with form and always ready with encouraging words. More important, each exercise is first demonstrated in person by your instructor, then the exercise is also played on a screen above the workout space, along with a timer to track your sets.
Once your strength session is done, it’s time to pull down those mats and finish up with some yoga. “Yoga is ideal for mobility in people’s lives … being able to move and live a long, healthy life.” Yoga is going to stretch those muscles you just worked, and give you more flexibility. It also increases circulation, improves posture and alignment, and promotes recovery. And after 40 minutes of higher intensity workouts, coming together and breathing on the mats, focusing on recovery and flexibility is key. With a combination of poses for strength, flexibility and recovery, yoga is bound to leave your body feeling well-loved after this multifaceted experience.
Put simply, SPENGA pulls out all the stops when it comes to working out. “You need to work your heart and your muscles, and you need to keep your joints healthy—all of which is what we do here,” says Kelly about each session. And that’s what makes SPENGA so unique. While other workout studios focus on one thing only and miss out on key aspects of becoming the best version of you, SPENGA gives you everything in one bite-sized, hour-long session.
Kelly compares opening a SPENGA studio to the signature workout itself—it keeps her moving and always on her toes. “We’re getting great feedback—ways we can help the community and offer more. We’re already partnering with a physical therapist for pelvic floor strength because people were asking about it,” she says of an upcoming workshop. Kelly also hopes to do charity sessions to give back to the Greater Loveland area itself—where a certain charity is selected and then all sign-up proceeds are donated to that cause.
Haven’t found an exercise studio that feels just right to you yet? You should definitely give SPENGA a shot. It’s a one-stop-shop for all of your fitness needs, and will leave you feeling fulfilled without overwhelming you. Book a session today!

TWO LADIES ON A MISSION FOR YOU TO FEEL FABULOUS
Wish you could look like the latest fashion influencer on Instagram?
Debby Walker and Deb Popp say you can do better than that. Way better—you can be your own beautiful self.
Owners of Alley Boutique in historic Loveland, Debby and Deb are fashionistas on a mission—to lift women up with empathy, encouragement and the just-right accessories to pull it all together. Complementing each other like a well-coordinated outfit, they’re a stunning combination of style mavens, advice columnists and personal cheerleaders for every customer who walks through their doors. Think Vogue meets The View.
“We strive to always have truly unique items, so you don’t see yourself ‘coming and going,’” explains Debby.
More than a store, Alley Boutique is a destination where women can share their stories, look at themselves in the mirror, and discover they like what they see. Yes, a pop of color and expert, personal attention really can do all that.
“There are so many women who come in—they simply want to talk to someone,” says Debby. “It’s a way you can reach out to others and just offer love.”
In the endless stream of our daily digital lives—filled with impersonal online shopping and AI-driven customer service chatbots—Alley Boutique stands out as a brick-and-mortar oasis of personalized, one-on-one service. Deb and Debby know their customers—like the woman who asks the duo to shop for her daughter-in-law’s birthday every year. Even when they’re buying new inventory, the business partners make selections with their customers in mind.
“Our hearts are constantly thinking about them,” Deb shares.
From middle schoolers to retirees, customers are drawn to the boutique’s curated selection of clothing, accessories, home décor and gifts. Striking a sophisticated balance between trendy and timeless, the boutique offers a wide range of price points—with an eye for the one of a kind.
Back in 2015, Debby and her original business partner opened Cincy Fashion Wheels in the former Bishop Building. The business was destroyed in Loveland’s May 2017 fire, but their store came back like a phoenix—with a new name and a new location. Alley Boutique opened its doors in June 2018—the first business impacted by the fire to do so. Today, Alley Boutique is no longer in the alley, and Debby and Deb, who joined the business in 2020, now run the shop together.

While button-front skirts may not be as trendy as they were 10 years ago, these two prove that an eye for fashion and a heart for making customers feel fabulous never goes out of style.
So with summer months approaching, what’s a good look for that next barbecue or outdoor concert? The pair share their “what-to-wear” faves for the fashion-forward: muted tones with pops of color, mixed media (like leather and satin), straw bags, scarves, wideleg pants, and charms on everything—necklaces, purses, shoes, bags and more.
“I’ll wear a baseball cap, but I’ll have cute jewelry on. I like a little bling, but I don’t like to be all blinged out.”
Debby is wearing: Black dress by NATION (cotton cap-sleeve, mock-neck with waist ruching). Silver faux leather jacket by Melissa Nepton (short-sleeve, zipper closure). French Kande statement necklace (semi-precious stones and Austrian crystals with vintage French medallion). Bracelets by Mariana (Czech and Austrian crystals handmade in the USA).
“My fashion icon? Chanel.”
Deb is wearing: Black and cream seashell print shirt dress by Karen Kane (lightweight linen, blouson sleeves, silver shank buttons). Bracelets by French Kande Cuff (sterling silver-plated and Austrian crystals) and Enewton (sterling silver-plated made in Atlanta). AlleyBoutique.com | 203 W. Loveland Ave, Loveland 513.254.3459

For nearly four years, Drs. Kenzie and Nick Hoar of Garden City Chiropractic have assisted neighbors and families throughout Greater Cincinnati with traditional chiropractic care. But if you didn’t know, Garden City also provides
stress, which Dr. Kenzie says is a root cause of dysfunction in the body.
When care is properly applied, pain is eased, and neighbors live happier lives.
But it’s not just for adults. “A lot of people think chiropractic is primarily
care for neurological issues from a chiropractic perspective, as well.
“Our practice is nervous system-based,” Dr. Kenzie explains. “We focus on each of our member’s neurology and how it functions to give support to the entire body.”
In other words, it’s an approach that allows for an “inside-out” philosophy—one that allows Drs. Kenzie and Nick and their team to improve patient function and achieve their health goals.
“We believe the body is powerful—it has the tools it needs to heal naturally,” she says. “It’s an empowering philosophy where we work alongside our patients, highlighting just how intelligent the human design is, and how we, as their doctors, provide the clinical side of adjustments while their bodies do all the healing!”
Garden City’s approach to providing neurological care helps to elevate the nervous system’s function by removing
for neck and back pain, and that it’s exclusively for adults.” It can benefit babies and children as well, she continues—younger patients who find themselves suffering before they’ve even had a chance to mature into adults.
“This is the population that needs us the most. They need us to advocate for them, to speak when they can’t, and believe that they can thrive in their health.”
“We get to be a part of that every day, and see miracles unfold before our eyes,” she says, smiling. “We love serving our community.”
Garden City patients dealing with many of today’s most common neurological issues can find relief with proper care and better understanding, Dr. Kenzie shares. What does that encompasses, and how can chiropractic help? Here are some of the most frequent issues they assist with.
• Autism. “Consistent care has shown to increase cognition, emotional regulation and verbal abilities, and promote restfulness,” Dr. Kenzie reports.
• Colic. Proper care, Dr. Kenzie says, can increase the restful side of the nervous system. This in turn promotes healing and digestion, easing colic symptoms.
• ADHD. This is an overstimulated nervous system crying for help, she explains. “Consistent care has shown to improve focus, decrease emotional outbursts, and encourage body regulation.”
• Preconception, Pregnancy and Postpartum Care. “Regular chiropractic care is shown to bring harmony to the nervous system as a woman prepares her body for conception,” Dr. Kenzie explains. “A more regulated nervous system for mom as she grows a baby sets baby up for success in his or her development. Chiropractic care also prepares the mother’s body for an optimal labor and delivery—both neurologically and biomechanically. Once baby is born, chiropractic care is there to support mom in her recovery postpartum, as well as invest in baby’s early development.”
• Endometriosis. Dr. Kenzie points out that endometriosis is “an umbrella term to diagnose many female reproductive concerns. It can be traced back to stress in the neurology that supplies the reproductive organs in women.” Proper care, she stresses, has shown to decrease the likelihood of flare-ups, improve menstrual regulation, and can even play a role in fertility.

Picture this: a cozy, charming spot where you can pour yourself a glass of wine, browse a beautifully curated boutique, and unwind in a space that feels like a little slice of Hallmark heaven. Welcome to Rosé Boutique & Wine Bar, Loveland’s one-of-a-kind “sip & shop” destination, brought to life by husband-andwife duo Bob and Colleen Coppola.
For Bob, a full-time chiropractor, opening a wine bar was a long-held dream. For Colleen, a boutique had always been part of her vision. When the previous owners downsized, the opportunity presented itself—and they couldn’t resist. “We fell in love with the charm of Loveland,” says Colleen. “It just felt like home.”

“WE WANT TO INTRODUCE PEOPLE TO WINE IN A WAY THAT’S APPROACHABLE AND FUN.” - BOB
In March 2024, Rosé opened its doors, bringing an experience unlike any other. “We want to introduce people to wine in a way that’s approachable and fun,” Bob shares. “Whether you’re a connoisseur or just getting started, there’s something here for everyone.”
Rosé is the perfect fusion of two beloved pastimes—enjoying great wine and indulging in a little retail therapy. The boutique offers an ever-changing selection of gifts, clothing, jewelry, and even official stock of Jellycat stuffed animals. And then there’s 45+ wine options by the glass, plus selfserve machines with 16 rotating bottles.
“Even when the bar isn’t open, you can still come in, grab a glass, and enjoy the space,” Colleen explains.
More than just a wine bar, Rosé is a place to gather. It’s perfect for book clubs, moms’ nights out, baby or bridal showers. Monthly tastings highlight themes like French favorites, while the Boutique Vintners Wine Club offers members exclusive selections and events. “It’s more than just drinking—it’s about discovery and connection,” smiles Colleen.
As the weather warms up, Rosé becomes the ultimate relaxing hangout—a no-longer-hidden gem just steps from the bike
trail on Second Street. The outdoor patio is perfect for sipping wine with friends, taking a breather after an excursion on the trail, or chilling with your pup for a laidback afternoon in the sun. And if you’re hungry? Their charcuterie boards are a must-try, along with house-made ricotta dips and decadent chocolate cake.
After celebrating their first anniversary, Bob and Colleen are excited for what’s ahead. “We had an incredible first year, thanks to the amazing support from our community,” Colleen says. “Now, we’re looking at ways to make Rosé even better.” Expect new wines, expanded menu items, more events, and fresh boutique finds every season.
Join their Derby Day Party fun on May 3rd, and catch summer events such as sip-and-shops and wine pairings—perfect excuses to experience the magic of Rosé.
Whether you’re stopping in for a quick sip, browsing for a unique gift, or settling in for an evening with friends, Rosé Boutique & Wine Bar is more than just a place to drink wine. It’s a place to unwind, celebrate, and savor the moment. Cheers to that!

Love is in the air this spring, with celebrations like Mother’s Day, engagements and anniversaries providing plenty of opportunity to leave your loved ones awestruck and appreciated with gems and jewelry. But should you go vintage or modern? Classic or contemporary? Let Dale Robertson of Dale Robertson Jewelry guide you through the gift-giving
(and gift-choosing) process—whether buying traditional milestone gifts or crafting custom pieces for the significant ladies in your life. Dale’s best advice? Make it something special. “Don’t get something cookie-cutter that everyone has. We’re known for our quality custom work—we can take an idea and turn it into a reality.”
“The idea of traditional anniversary gifts didn’t really gain popularity until the Victorian era,” Dale clarifies. “When people come in, they often ask, ‘What should I get?’ and I always say ‘diamonds’ … at one time, 10 years used to be celebrated with tin or aluminum—today, it’s diamonds.”

“Pure silver, being a rarity, marks 25 years together,” Dale explains. Because pure silver is soft, sterling silver was initially used for currency. In the 12th century, some European coins were called “Easterlings,” later abbreviated to “sterling”—a precious metal that has transitioned over the years to become a staple in decorative jewelry.

Pearls are extremely rare, which considerably increases their value. Throughout history, gem lore recognizes pearls as symbols of wealth, status, purity and wisdom—sometimes called tears of the gods. “Whether earrings, bands or necklaces, it’s nice to give jewelry with value—rather than wood or cotton, which are the traditional gift for some anniversary years.”

Step over the threshold of 115 Riverside Drive, and first impressions evoke words like calm. Friendly. Artsy. Modern. Cozy. Not exactly what you might expect to find in a 1880 house just west of historic downtown, but exactly what Ashlee Kidd was hoping to create inside Loveland’s newest small business hub—Revolve Business Suites and Events. And to that list, Ashlee would enthusiastically add “connecting community and cultivating creativity.”
Revolve is home to six small businesses: Resilient Wellness & Physical Therapy, Wild Developments Studio, Rainbow Dawn Energy Wellness, Big Daddy Walker Productions, and Golden Aesthetics MedSpa. Ashlee’s own company, AmeriTax, occupies a room on the first floor where you’ll likely encounter her canine assistant, Maui—an energetic, 2-yearold black Labradoodle. There’s also a community events space, the “Zen Revolution Room,” on the second floor.
Idea to occupancy took around six months. A year ago, it was the last thing Ashlee could have imagined doing. “For years I had worked seasonally for my mom’s tax business in Mason and for my husband’s coffee shop, The Kidd Coffee Co.,” Ashlee says. “I wanted to do my own thing, but couldn’t seem to make it happen.” It took a traumatic illness to finally turn her aspirations into reality.

In February 2024, surgery to remove a Baker’s cyst from behind her right knee didn’t go as planned. While in the hospital, Ashlee developed a staph infection. It took two additional surgeries and a couple more months before life returned to “somewhat” normal.
It was while driving around one day that Ashlee spotted the “For Lease” sign on Riverside Drive. “That was God’s magic,” she remembers. The price was so right, she leased the entire building.
Her first thought was to open a consignment shop with a friend, but the building—which had been converted to several office suites by a previous occupant—was not really set up for that kind of shopping space.
“At that point, I thought I could do my own tax business in one office and rent the rest—but even then I didn’t know exactly what that would look like.” She did know that she’d need a lot of advice for this kind of venture, so she began talking with other local business owners.
“I found out quickly that this community was filled with kind, loving people who wanted me to succeed,” she says. “I had never experienced anything like that before. This town is full of good, salt-of-the-earth people. Every person I met with helped me in some way, and I will forever be grateful for that.”
Once word got out, prospective tenants began to appear. “It was never about what kind of business they had, I was more interested in their energy and thoughts about being part of a community right here at Revolve.” And Ashlee was determined to find new ways to foster that idea.
“We were all part of the Christmas in Loveland event—we set up right in the front of the building,” she says with a smile, remembering that day with all of her suite partners.
Wildlife Developments Studio artist Lauren Connolly helped kids paint ornaments. DJ Big Daddy Walker provided the music. Ashlee and others handed out swag bags and cups of hot chocolate. “The place was rockin’ … and people just kept coming! We had our own party going. It was the kind of community gathering I had always hoped for.”
More of the same kind of community fun is set for this month’s Memorial Day Parade, at the June 5th official Revolve ribbon cutting and grand opening, and of course, Loveland’s Fourth of July celebration.
“We want everyone to come to our ribbon cutting. We’ll have food, drinks, music ... it’s our time to celebrate with all of the people who helped make this happen, and we want to do it big!” What comes next for Revolve? “I’d like to expand and buy another property nearby. Maybe do pop-up shops one weekend a month. Perhaps even add a deck and a coffee bar,” she offers of future plans.
Recently reimagining the Zen Revolution Room has already made the entire spot a more flexible space. In addition to conference space for tenants, the room can be rented for workshops, meetings, brainstorming, family celebrations, or just a place to chill with friends. Ultimately, according to Ashlee, a spot to create connections.
“I know I’m on the right path, and I’m not stopping.”

We do it all—from routine cleanings to advanced procedures like implants, veneers and Invisalign. We also offer options to erase wrinkles and fine lines. Or if snoring is disrupting a good night’s sleep, we have low-maintenance sleep solutions.
