Style is often thought of as something we wear—an outfit, a statement piece, a signature color. But here, style runs so much deeper.
It’s in the way someone greets you with warmth and a genuine smile. It’s in a neighbor who always remembers your dog’s name, or a local shop owner who makes their space feel like home the second you walk through the door. It’s in the thoughtful touches: fresh flowers on a front porch, handwritten notes on thank-you cards, or the quiet confidence someone carries when they show up as fully themselves.
This month, we’re celebrating style in all its forms—not just as a reflection of who we are, but how we move through the world.
From the artists shaping our local aesthetic to the entrepreneurs designing beautiful, welcoming spaces, we are inspired by the way people in our surrounding communities express care, creativity, and character. Style is about choosing grace over trend, presence over perfection. It’s how we speak, how we serve, how we show up.
And whether it’s found in your wardrobe, your living room, your handshake, or your heart—true style is unmistakable.
Here's to honoring your own version of it.

In the quiet elegance of northern Colorado, tucked just off the thoroughfare of I-25, stands a space of transformation. Not simply a showroom, not merely a studio—Element Flooring and Design Center is a living canvas for self-expression, where interiors become intimate reflections of
the people who dwell within them. At its helm is Mindy Myers, a woman whose path into the design world was paved not by happenstance, but by purpose—and a touch of serendipity.
Mindy’s journey to business ownership began not with blueprints, but with a blueprint of resilience. “Someone told me once, ‘if you want to grow as an individual, start a business.’ That’s incredibly true,” she says. “You find yourself in situations where you can't just walk away and quit. You have too much invested. You have to keep moving forward.”
With a soul shaped by construction and a mind sharpened by years in finance, Mindy did more than buy a small flooring shop—she revived it. Then she acquired a second one in Denver, merging them into the dynamic, design-forward haven that Element is today.
Yet, Element is not merely a purveyor of cabinets, tiles, and textiles. It is a stylist’s sanctuary, where personal taste becomes tangible.
“We’re just going to keep doing what we’re doing,” Mindy reflects, “and continue to get better and better while increasing our offerings.” From backsplash to baseboard, every corner of a home is fair game for Element’s vision of beauty, cohesion, and identity.
More than a curator of materials, Mindy is a cultivator of meaning. She believes design is not about following trends, but about revealing a person’s truth.
“There’s something so powerful about being in creation that has no agenda,” she says of her own artistic pursuits outside of work. “I’m not doing it for money; I’m not doing it for any other purpose, other than I’m challenging myself and I’m having fun. It slows down a part of my brain to where I can just be really, really present in the moment. And when I come out of it, whatever I was worried about before just doesn’t feel that big.”
It’s that same spirit of presence that defines her leadership. Within the Element team, innovation

“I realized a very long time ago how to change my mind frame from things like ‘life is happening to me,’ to ‘life is happening for me.’”
isn’t a buzzword—it’s a philosophy. “We’re innovators, and we learn something from every single project that we do,” Mindy shares.
Each completed space is dissected with care, its lessons gathered like fine threads for the next weave of design.
But what sets Mindy apart in a saturated design world isn’t just her artistic fluency. It is her extraordinary empathy. Her presence in the community is as tactile as the surfaces she installs.
“I’m on the board of the HBA Foundation,” she explains, “and specifically, we have targeted veterans and families of veterans that have needed things where their abilities have changed suddenly.”
With compassion and craft, Mindy and her team have turned fractured spaces into safe havens. “We helped a widow of a veteran who was in a wheelchair, and a tile had broken loose so her wheels were constantly getting caught in the absence of the floor. We did a full renovation for her. We partner with our
other trades in the community to donate time and materials to those in need.”
This devotion—to both design and dignity—requires endurance, and Mindy’s balance is hard-won.
“I realized a very long time ago how to change my mind frame from things like ‘life is happening to me,’ to ‘life is happening for me,’” she says. “Just because I’m not where I want to be yet, doesn’t mean that I can’t, in this moment, experience joy.”
Her grace is neither naïve nor detached, but forged from weathered days, difficult choices, and a steadfast refusal to let stress eclipse soul.
In a world obsessed with instant aesthetics, Mindy champions thoughtful design, rooted not in the latest palette, but in timeless individuality. Her work is less about decoration and more about discovery— unearthing a client’s essence and giving it texture, light, and form.
To step inside Element Flooring and Design Center is to step into possibility.
But to know Mindy Myers is to understand that true style is not simply seen—it is deeply felt. It is in the grit behind beauty, the story behind symmetry, and the service behind every surface.
Debra Bradford, Owner of Bradford Weddings & Events
How do you envision your picture perfect wedding day?
Is it a wedding on a pristine beach, toes dug into the warm silky sand as the waves crescendo behind you?
Or how about a wedding ceremony tucked away in a mountaintop forest, nestled under the shade of towering pines?
Whatever your vision is, Debra Bradford, CEO of Bradford Weddings & Events in Johnstown, aims to materialize clients’ desired imaginations into reality.
“I love bringing people together; I love to have them create an event they’ve always dreamed of,” Debra shares. “They have visions of what they want, and I like to bring them to life.”
Debra officially opened Bradford Weddings & Events on Sept. 1, 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic significantly slowed down the weddings and events industry. While her business is only about five years old, Debra is by no means a newcomer to event planning, having coordinated weddings and events for friends and family for over 30 years.
In addition to weddings, Bradford Weddings & Events plans and organizes several other types of events for its clients, including birthday parties, bridal and
baby showers, anniversaries, luxury picnics, company parties, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and quinceañeras.
Focused on pairing a full slate of services with hospitality, Debra strives to create intentional luxury experiences for her clients, who are based in Colorado and California.
By offering meticulous event planning services and tasteful stylings for weddings, events, and home holiday decor, Debra strives to help forge deep, meaningful connections between others.
“The holidays are all about bringing families and neighbors together, and we come into people’s homes and create a space that makes the homeowner feel great about their home, and it’s a place to welcome their friends and family.”
More often than not, careful consideration of floral arrangements and other decorations is a requirement for weddings and other events. Debra’s business also happens to supply artful floral designs and various rentals, such as decor, balloon arches, tents and canopies, linens, drapes, lighting, props, and more.
Looking ahead, Debra aspires to expand further into luxury events locally, but she also dreams of constructing a boutique venue somewhere in northern Colorado that serves as a weekend getaway for folks.
Meanwhile, Debra hopes to continually build a positive legacy within the communities she serves.
“When people think of Bradford Weddings, I want them to think about community, family, memories of those events that they did with the most special people in their lives,” Debra says. “So, that’s what I want to leave behind and that feeling of how they felt when they had that event.”
And what exactly fuels Debra’s motivation to leave behind this type of footprint?
Why, passion, of course.
In Debra’s opinion, passion is a must-have ingredient in everyone’s pursuit of purpose, including for herself and her company’s staff.
“Do what you love,” Debra says, “and do it with all of your heart.”
The reason Debra loves what she does is because she gets to be a part of people’s joy.
“Whether it’s weddings, holiday parties, or special milestones, I love making others feel seen, celebrated, and cared for through beautiful details and meaningful service.”
A Haven for Cultivating Strength, Beauty, and Confidence
ARTICLE BY SHEN WU TAN PHOTOGRAPHY BY E.T.C. PHOTOGRAPHY, MONICA JEAN PHOTOGRAPHY
To be human often means having insecurities, whether it’s negative feelings about our weight or aging lines.
But there is a safe space where locals can visit and express these vulnerabilities.
“It is tremendously rewarding working with patients to remove the stressors of life in their faces, lifting and lighting the lines and shadows that come with time.”
A sanctuary where they can openly share their insecurities without shame or judgment.
Welcome to The Injection Room, a new medical spa located in the heart of Loveland. Alexis Marchiani, aesthetic nurse injector and owner of the business, opened its doors in October 2024.
“It’s a really safe place for people to open up and tell me their insecurities,” Alexis assures. “And I’m not going to sit here and pick apart every imperfection in their face to try and upsell them. It’s just more about how they are feeling and how I can meet them where they are.”
Involved in the critical care and nursing aesthetics industry for over seven years, Alexis took a leap of faith a few months ago to start her own business,
where she could run it her own way, based on a philosophy of integrity and an intention to develop meaningful relationships with her clients.
“They’re not just clients,” Alexis says. “I’m kind of like a counselor, a nurse, a friend, a cheerleader, a supporter. I feel like in this business, in this room, in my business, it’s more of a friendship, and we build goals together. And sometimes, it’s more than just in your face and in your weight loss. Sometimes, it’s with career goals and relationship issues and getting through dark times.”
Up until earlier this year, Alexis was running and operating her own business while working a second job. In January, she quit her second job as a nurse in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit).
Now, aesthetics and helping clients make decisions about their beauty and health are Alexis' sole focus.
To do this, Alexis offers individualized RN consultations and a variety of treatments at her medical spa, including dermal fillers, Botox, medical weight loss, and IV therapies.
“It is tremendously rewarding working with patients to remove the stressors of life in their faces, lifting and lighting the lines and shadows that come with time.”
And at The Injection Room, Alexis believes in providing customized care without the pressure of purchasing unnecessary products and services, instead concentrating on assisting clients with reaching their desired results and outcomes.
“I just like to meet everybody where they are and address what is bothering them,” Alexis comments. “I never try to sell people anything. I’m here to offer my expertise and resources. And everyone comes in for a different thing.”
She also can offer her clients a wider range of products at her medical spa.
Although currently a smaller medical spa, Alexis has lofty aspirations for The Injection Room. She wants to purchase and own a building down the line, ideally somewhere in downtown Loveland.
Yet, Alexis’ ultimate goal at the end of the day is to always form genuine connections with her clients while cultivating strength, beauty, and confidence –inside and out.
Choosing the right colors and fabrics for your window coverings can feel overwhelming—but that’s where we buzz in to help. Start by thinking about how the space is used and the feeling you want it to evoke. Bedrooms may benefit from blackout linings or heavier fabrics for coziness and privacy, while kitchens or high-traffic areas do best with durable, easy-to-clean materials like roller shades. For a light, airy feel in living rooms or reading nooks, sheers or linen blends soften the space and filter sunlight without blocking the view.
Color can completely shift the mood. For a seamless, calming look, match your drapes to the wall or trim. Want a little drama? Try a bold contrast or patterned fabric to break up solids and create a focal point. Neutrals are always timeless—but don’t be afraid to add personality with color or texture that reflects you.
Light also plays a big role in how we experience a space. We recommend taping samples to your window and checking them throughout the day. Northfacing windows cast cooler light, while west-facing rooms feel warmer and more golden.
Not sure where to start? That’s where we come in. Bumble Bee Blinds offers complimentary design consultations—and we bring the samples to you. No stress, no guesswork—just a friendly, expert helping hand.
