Welcome to our June Gentlemen’s Issue!
This month, we’re celebrating the spirit of summer and the gentlemen who know how to make the most of it. Whether you're firing up the grill, upgrading your man cave, or tackling big goals with hard work and determination, this issue is packed with inspiration.
We’re kicking things off with a collection of summer grill recipes — including a simple skirt steak, a fresh chimichurri sauce, and a roasted corn salsa — perfect for backyard gatherings and family cookouts. Next, we meet Jamal Norman, the owner of Hustle and Muscle Moving, whose story reminds us that success comes from determination, hustle, and heart.
Looking to create the ultimate man space? We also share some key tips for building an awesome man cave — whether it's for watching the game, hosting friends, or just having a place to unwind.
You’ll also meet Macarius Mark Abdelsayed, DMD, who is joining the Center for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery — a top-rated practice that’s been rooted in the CSRA for 53 years and continues to grow with care and expertise.
As we move into the warmth and energy of summer, we hope this issue inspires you to enjoy good food, create memorable spaces, and keep pushing toward your goals — with plenty of time for fun along the way.
Wishing you a fantastic summer and a Happy Father’s Day!

As part of their Acts of Kindness fundraiser, each donation inspired a student to perform a thoughtful deed, like baking treats for neighbors, collecting canned goods, or writing thank-you notes. They raised over $11,000 to support their school by stocking the teacher break room, funding PTF events, and meeting other school needs. Kindness truly goes a long way!

THESE DELICIOUS RECIPES ARE LIGHT, BRIGHT AND FEEL LIKE SUMMER
The sun has returned, and grilling season is upon us. With the nice weather comes vegetable gardens and fresh produce, along with the overwhelming desire to be outside as much as possible. We’ve compiled some fresh and light dishes that you can shop for at your local farmers market and whether you’re looking for a quick mid-week meal or something to grill for a crowd on the weekend these dishes won’t disappoint. These pair well together or can stand on their own!
• 2lbs. Outside skirt steak*
• 2 Tablespoons lime*
• 2 Tablespoons finely, chopped cilantro
• ¼ Cup olive oil or avocado oil
• ¼ White onion, finely chopped
• 1 Tablespoon cumin
• Salt and pepper to taste
1. Place skirt steak into gallon freezer bag
2. Combine all other ingredients in bowl and mix. Pour over steak and marinate for 3-4 hours or overnight in the fridge.
3. Bring skirt steak to room temperature by letting it sit out for one hour.
4. Get your grill hot on one side and medium on the other.
5. Once the grill is ready, wipe excess marinade off steak. Starting on the hot side, place skirt steak on grill for 2 minutes per side, attaining a nice sear.
6. Transfer steak to the cooler side of grill and cook until the internal temp is 130°. Let rest for 10 minutes (temp will rise while resting).
7. Carve and serve. This dish pairs well with beans and rice or served as tacos. Following is a chimichurri sauce that compliments it nicely.
*Outside skirt steak is a more tender cut than inside skirt steak, for this recipe outside skirt is recommended. Do not use too much lime as the citrus can cook the meat before putting it on the grill, resulting in a tougher texture.
• ½ Cup parsley, finely chopped
• ½ Cup cilantro, finely chopped
• 2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar
• 3 Cloves garlic, minced
• 1 Red chili (whole or deseeded depending on desired level of heat)
• ½ Teaspoon dried oregano
• 1 Teaspoon salt
• 1 Tablespoon lime juice (optional)
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. You can make this in the late morning and let it sit for around 4-6 hours, or you can make it the day before and let the flavors meld overnight in the fridge. Just be sure to take it out and get it to room temp before you serve it, as olive oil hardens in the fridge. Serve over skirt steak or tacos.
• 2 Ears sweet corn
• 10oz. Cherry tomatoes
• ¼ Cup lime juice
• 1 Finely chopped jalapeno or serrano (whole or deseeded depending on desired level of heat)
• ¼ Cup cilantro, finely chopped
• ½ Cup white onion, chopped
• 2 Cloves garlic, minced
• Salt to taste
1. Grill corn, you do not need to soak the corn beforehand.
2. Place corn on the grill (inside their husks) over medium heat turning every few minutes.
3. After 10 to 12 minutes shuck the corn and put the cobs back on the grill for 2-4 minutes rotating frequently to achieve that charred look and flavor.
4. Cut the corn from the cob, place in bowl and add all other ingredients. Let the mixture meld for about an hour and serve with tortilla chips or as a taco garnish.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN THE MOVING INDUSTRY?
I'm originally from Lincoln County and during high school, I focused a lot on sports. But, I used to help my neighbors, cousins, aunties, and friends when they moved. It was also a way for me to make extra money. After high school, I ended up getting introduced to the moving industry when I rented a U-Haul to pick up a couch I bought through Facebook marketplace. I saw in the U-Haul that they had information for moving help. The guy I was buying the couch from encouraged me to look into starting my own business since I had experience moving people.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT WHAT YOU DO?
My passion is really helping people. You know, it's a different type of thrill seeing their reaction and those smiles when we get the job done. It makes me feel good. And it’s more than just moving furniture; some people are disabled, military, or elderly and I like getting my hands dirty and helping them. God blesses me every day and with the business, I have a true heart for it and how it helps people.
WHAT MAKES HUSTLE & MUSCLE MOVING UNIQUE?
We are a small, locally owned business, and because of that our customers are not just a number. I'm in contact with customers every day. Whether it’s a piece of furniture coming from upstairs to downstairs, or a five-bedroom home, I take every job with honor and pride and we will do it as perfectly as we can. I treat people how I want to be treated, and I believe in being professional and courteous.
WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?
We do local moves, long distance moves, loading and unloading, furniture and equipment assembly, packing services… pretty much whatever a homeowner needs to do to prepare for and complete a move.
WHY IS IT BENEFICIAL TO HIRE PROFESSIONAL MOVING COMPANY?
You can always find a couple of strong guys to help you out, but that doesn't mean they are not going to tear up your house in the process. Once you sell your home and still have to get your furniture out, you definitely don't want to just hire anybody because they can damage your walls and floors.
It’s also important to have a system in place when it comes to breaking down pieces of furniture like beds and sectionals and keeping the pieces together and organized. Things like televisions need to be prepped and boxed correctly to make it safely to the next destination.
So we come in with floor runners, blankets, door jam protectors, shrink wrap, and we label every single piece so that we know where it goes when it’s time to unload. Hiring a professional brings security that things will be done right and securely. Even though it is furniture, at the same time it is part of your life. It could be your great, great grandmother's piece of furniture that has been passed down for generations.
First, let us come out to get a detailed idea of the full scope of the move and do an
estimate. Every customer and move is different, so we develop a personalized plan. Second, any item over 250 pounds, like a gun safe or treadmill, we need to know about because it has to be handled differently than regular furniture. Third, clean off surfaces, empty furniture of clothes and belongings, and have things ready to go. Furniture needs to be empty because it isn't meant to be transported with extra weight. All those things go a long way in helping a move go smoothly.
For more information and to request an appointment for an estimate, visit hustlemusclemoving.net and fill out the contact form or call 706-755-7663. Also follow Hustle & Muscle on Facebook and check out the company’s Google and Yelp reviews. Hustle & Muscle is also proud to offer discounts to seniors, military personnel, and first responders.
A Look at The Man Cave
ARTICLE BY EMILY FOSTER INTERIORS
Ok ladies, for those of you that live with your man and are not too keen on his collection of deer heads or affinity for all things Chicago Blackhawks, then let me help you create his very own man cave, that you and he can be proud of.
With how a man cave is usually done in mind, there are plenty of ways to make this hideaway both agreeable and full of style. I always start with what is most important to your man and 9 out of 10 times it is comfortable seating. So, with that in mind, I start with smart seating. Do we need a sectional? Can we get away with a cool reclining chair? Do we need Barstools? Comfortable, durable, and stylish seating is my jumping-off point.

Next, of course, there will need to be a TV for gaming and/or sports watching. Try and get him the size he wants, if it can work in space and not be too obnoxious (ladies, you’ll thank me later) because this is all men truly care about. He gets his big TV, then you have more of an opportunity to get what you want in the rest of the house. It’s a win-win.
Lastly, without getting too “theme-y,” I organize what he loves and treasures into a gallery wall. I recently did one wall of really cool wallpaper for a husband that was a huge Star Wars fan. It was a black and white Star Wars print that gave this aficionado a fun way to bring his subject matter and style together.
No matter who you are or what you like, I believe every person needs a space where he or she can relax, breathe and be joyful in. Man Caves are no exception.

NOW IN ITS 53RD YEAR, THE CENTER FOR ORAL & MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY INTRODUCES MACARIUS MARK ABDELSAYED, DMD TO ITS GROWING PRACTICE
ARTICLE BY BAILEY HALL
Now, the practice is proud to welcome Macarius Mark Abdelsayed, DMD. A graduate of Augusta Preparatory Day School and the University of Georgia, Dr. Abdelsayed earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Dental College of Georgia, where he graduated with honors and was recognized on the Dean’s List throughout his program.
Dr. Abdelsayed is currently completing his final year of an intensive, four-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Augusta University. During his training, he completed externships at prestigious programs across the country and earned multiple awards for clinical excellence, research, and leadership.
“I’m very excited to join CFOMS because I am given the opportunity to work in a Christ-centered organization where I will be able to give back to the community I grew up in,” he shares. “When deciding the best approach to take with a patient’s treatment, I ask myself: If it were my mother or father sitting in the chair, what would I do?”
Dr. Abdelsayed adds, “What I love most about the practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery is that I can positively impact patients’ lives in a profound way. We have the ability to relieve pain and help rehabilitate their oral and skeletofacial health in a way that is both safe and comfortable.”
Looking ahead, he’s eager to grow as a clinician. “In this next chapter of my career, I am looking forward to the mentorship from Drs. O’Neal, Trotter, Scott, and Huffman. These providers are excellent surgeons and true gentlemen. I look forward to working with them and learning from their example.”
