Started in 2015 with just 1 employee, a phenomenon was born. A pizzeria that feels like it has been teleported directly from the streets of Brooklyn. "Brooklyn's Finest" is its name, a charming slice of New York right in the Mile High City.
The aroma of freshly baked pizza dough and bubbling cheese wafts through the air, drawing locals and tourists alike. The owner, Carlo, is a Brooklyn native with a passion for authentic pizza. He brought his family's secret recipes with him to Denver, determined to share the flavors of his hometown with his new community.
Carlo crafts his pies with a meticulous attention to detail, using the finest ingredients, including imported mozzarella and San Marzano tomatoes. Each pizza is a work of art, boasting a thin, crispy crust with perfectly charred edges.
Although he loves pizza, it isn't his first love. His first love is making memories and helping others make memories. Dedicating his business to feeding not just his neighbors, but local schools, colleges, the military. He has grown from 1 employee to 60. Now, with 3 restaurants, Brooklyn's feeds the community, caters, hosts parties and is the first call for all downtown business meetings.

Just a quick jaunt from Denver, there's a charming restaurant named "Stone Cellar Bistro," owned by two inseparable friends, Jordan and Brandon. Colorado natives, graduates of Arvada West, they shared a dream of creating a dining experience that celebrated the beauty of their local community, where every ingredient was sourced from nearby farms and artisans. It was a testament to their dedication to sustainability and supporting local businesses.
What sets Stone Cellar apart is not just its farm-to-table approach, but the personal touch in every detail. Brandon, a talented carpenter, had lovingly crafted the bar and all the tables in the restaurant. Each table tells a unique story, with wood sourced from the very forests that surround Arvada
The menu at the Stone Cellar is a testament to their commitment to local sourcing. Seasonal vegetables, farm-fresh eggs,
artisanal cheeses, and tender meats from neighboring ranches grace the menu, each dish a harmonious blend of flavors. The wine list features the finest selections available, and the dessert menu boasts delectable treats made by the chefs themselves.
The community embraced the Stone Cellar with open arms, not just for its delicious cuisine but also for its warm, inviting atmosphere.
The restaurant has not only become a hub of local flavor but also a symbol of friendship, craftsmanship, and the beauty of embracing everything Arvada has to offer.

• Start with a protein shake made from a high-quality protein isolate. Whey protein isolate or plantbased protein isolate options are both good choices.
Complex Carbohydrates:
• Include a source of complex carbohydrates for sustained energy. Some options include:
• Oats: A small bowl of oatmeal topped with berries and a drizzle of honey.
• Brown Rice: A serving of brown rice with steamed vegetables.
• Quinoa: A quinoa salad with vegetables and a vinaigrette dressing.
Creatine:
• If you choose to take creatine as part of your pre-workout nutrition, you can mix it into your protein shake. The typical creatine serving size is about 3-5 grams.
Hydration:
• Don’t forget to hydrate properly before your workout. Drinking water or an electrolyte-rich beverage can help ensure you’re well-hydrated.
Timing:
• Aim to consume your pre-workout meal or shake about 1-2 hours before your workout. This allows time for digestion and ensures that you have enough energy during your exercise session.

Creating the perfect pre-workout meal can be subjective and depends on individual preferences, dietary restrictions, and the specific type of exercise you’ll be doing. However, here’s a suggestion for a pre-workout meal that includes protein isolate, complex carbs, and creatine:

As the publisher of this magazine, I was torn on how to approach the following story. I was going to have one of my amazing writers tell the story, but then I realized that there is no possible way they could exemplify the man known as Larry Herz. I am sure I will not do him justice, but I am going to tell you about the Larry that I have started getting to know. So please give me latitude as I am not a writer.
Several months ago I met the devil in person.... its name was Tik Tok. While dancing with the devil, I came across this man who experienced 5 restaurants in 5 hours. I was curious how he ate so much... lol. I took a shot in the dark and messaged him, knowing he would never respond to me, and 1 minute later he invited me to his studio to experience the wonder in person. I'm not kidding. I was shocked. That was the beginning of a friendship and food journey I will never forget. Thank you, Larry.
With an education and a passion that can only come from the likes of New York, and 3 decades of restaurant experience,
he is the master of what cuisine should be. Although his delicious footprint is all over the city, you may be familiar with his saucy side the best. As the creator and founder of Carmine's on Penn, his food prowess has graced Denver, and not just The Real Housewives of New York.
Larry, no matter what you may think, isn't consumed with food. His passion is helping people in local communities connect with their neighbors and friends, and there isn't any better way to do that than through food.
Larry IS NOT a food critic! He is actually the opposite. He does all the taste testing for us. As Denver's premiere restaurant promoter, he tries all the food and tells us where to go on the front range. Rough job Larry. :)
Food guy, Broncos fan, golfer, strategist, entrepreneur, husband, father.....friend.
In the heart of Denver, a city known for its vibrant culture and diverse culinary scene, stands P.F. Chang's. Yes, you may instantly think chain restaurant, I get it. This P.F. Chang's is different. It's not in the name, it's in the dedication of the team led by Managing Partner David Harvey. Nestled amidst the bustling streets and skyscrapers, lies a delicious option. With a variety of Asian-inspired dishes, including the famous lettuce wraps, Chang's is a cornerstone of the downtown eatery.
From the Chang's Spicy Chicken to the savory Mongolian Beef, each dish is a revelation, transporting diners to the vibrant streets of China. If you are looking for an amazing opportunity to sample delicious flavors from the Orient, this is your spot.
This dining experience will leave you with only one question..... "How do they make those lettuce wraps?"
