Gentlemen, it’s your time to shine! What a pleasure it’s been to witness how passion, perseverance, and purpose drive the lives of men in our community. Those we interviewed in this issue understand that true success comes from the daily ability to learn, adapt, and take occasional risks.
Each story shared within these pages is a testament to how gentlemen are not solely defined by their achievements, but by their integrity. They have found in their hearts, minds, bodies, and souls where they belong in this world. In honoring them, we also honor the essence of what it means to inspire others personally and professionally.
Pam: I’ve had the pleasure of meeting gentlemen from all walks of life. Local professionals, internationally known artists, and individuals just getting started on pursuing their dreams. I’ve watched their businesses thrive, as they stay involved and lead their teams to victory, and I’ve seen where hardships bring clutter and chaos. Through it all, these exceptional leaders arrive on the other side more accomplished than they ever thought possible. Life moves forward rapidly. It’s not in the easy times that we grow, it’s in the struggles thrown at us, where the pivotal moments of staying laser-focused get us through to the other side. We come out with higher self-esteem and more drive and passion than ever! My hat tips to the gentlemen of our community!
Megan: My dad has been a big motivating force in my life, both with my education and my career. He taught me that success isn’t handed over on a silver platter—it’s earned. That’s why, from the earliest moments of my childhood, he has instilled within me a fierce work ethic that continues to guide me in all of my pursuits. But beyond that, my dad has been a source of stability, doing what he can to ensure that my sister and I have the opportunities and comforts to live more fully. So, while he has taken hold of his personal dreams as an entrepreneur, he has truthfully done it with our futures at the forefront. For that, and for moving us to Cedar Park, I'm forever grateful.
We hope you and the father figure in your life have a very happy Father’s Day! And to everyone, we wish you a fun-filled summer pursuing amazing adventures! Now... here’s our Gentlemen’s Issue.

WHY TINT YOUR TESLA?
Tesla drivers opt for window tinting for reasons beyond aesthetics and individual tastes. Solar heat penetrating through the windows can elevate the interior temperature of the vehicle, necessitating increased AC usage. However, running the AC depletes the battery charge, consequently diminishing the driving range per charge. Our Xpel Ceramic window tint can Block up to 96% of Infrared Heat Rejection!

Some people thrive off of a good adrenaline rush. Jake Bonilla is one of those people. At 22 years old, his passion for racing has led him to where he is today, fearlessly navigating high-speed circuits behind the wheel.
It all started six years ago, when Bonilla was working at a go-kart track. While he grew up loving NASCAR, it was his exceptional speed when hopping into races that sparked his serious interest in pursuing competing.
“For my birthday, we did testing with a Formula 4 team based out of Austin at the Circuit of the Americas Formula 1 track,” says Bonilla. “That first time I drove the F4 car, I did well when compared to the team's series drivers. My lap times were really fast for never having driven the car before.”
With just two weeks of official training under his belt, Bonilla took on his first professional race at 17. When combining the fact that he was so new to everything and that this would be the pre-race for Formula 1, there were, naturally, a lot of nerves there. But as Bonilla got strapped into the car, the knowledge that he was meant to be there sharpened his focus.
“As soon as it’s time to go, you get in this mindset of wanting to win,” says Bonilla. “All the hard work you’ve been putting in—physical fitness, seat time, reviewing lap data, studying tracks—comes into play.”
Since his debut, Bonilla’s love for racing hasn’t wavered. Even off the track, when he isn’t handling customized cars in his brotherin-law’s wrap shop, he dedicates time to practicing on his simulator at home.
Throughout his career, Bonilla has held his own on numerous tracks. That includes Sonoma Raceway in California, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Ohio, and Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in Georgia. A circuit that has especially stuck out to Bonilla for its technicality and difficulty is Sebring International Raceway in Florida, although COTA will forever hold a place in his heart as his home track.
“One of my favorite memories is when I qualified second out of 36 international drivers as a support race for the United States F1 Grand Prix in Austin. Starting on the front row, looking out at a crowd of over 150,000 people… That was an insane experience,” says Bonilla.
Earlier this year, he advanced to Formula 3 and took his skills thousands of miles away to New Zealand to race in the Castrol Toyota FR Oceania Championship with Kiwi Motorsport.
For Bonilla, it felt unreal to be there, seeing the F3 car in person, getting his custom seat made, and learning the different tracks he would race. He jumped straight into the first race weekend without having driven that specific car before, while adjusting strategies in response to wet and dry weather.
“Once you get a few laps under your belt, you become connected. You know what you have to do,” says Bonilla. “All of the drivers were amazing and champions from their home countries. I held my own and competed with the world’s best—that was my goal.”
As he continues to chase his end goal of Formula 1, Bonilla remains grounded in the belief that good things come to people who work hard. With each new challenge he faces, he embraces the opportunity to prove himself and push boundaries.

EXPLORE INVESTMENTS THAT LEAVE A LEGACY WITH “RANCHES AT” COMMUNITIES
We are honoring the land, trees, nature, and God’s creation. That is our passion.
Husband-wife duo Mike and Kim Clinard are the founders and low-density developers of the “Ranches at” communities located in Dripping Springs, Fischer, Horseshoe Bay, and Canyon Lake areas. They offer a more timeless investment through their residential ranchette communities. Most tracts are a minimum of 12 to 20 acres and share breathtaking views, canyons, grottos, ponds, and streams throughout the developments.
The logo of “Ranches at” features a lone oak tree, standing atop the highest peak at their first Texas Hill Country development, Ranches at Sentinel Peak. The majestic sentinel tree stands guard over the Texas Hill Country. The sentinel tree represents the Clinards’ mission to be “defenders of the land” by developing communities that promote conservation.
“With these views, the financial reward could be staggering by making this community high-density. But we have intentionally chosen not to because that doesn’t represent our values,” Mike shares. “We prefer low density in a ranch-like setting with a focus on preserving the land and wildlife. It’s not about maximizing the dollar; it’s about maximizing the beauty of the Hill Country.”
In addition to its beauty, an incredible benefit to each tract is the wildlife tax valuation status. “With our focus to protect the land comes protecting wildlife. Most of the acreage will be nearly property tax-free as we partner with wildlife management companies to protect Hill Country wildlife, with a primary focus on bird habitat,” Mike says.
Kim adds, “The birds that live and migrate through here are important. So is all flora and fauna. We are honoring the land, trees, nature, and God’s creation. That is our passion.”
To further regenerate the land, the Clinards also support each landowner in rainwater collection by providing them a $25,000 credit at closing to go toward infrastructure for this effort. “If everyone is collecting rainwater, then it takes pressure off the aquifers and related water wells,” Mike says.
In a day and age when we are as busy as ever, how can we create spaces to unplug? The Clinards believe their ranchettes will allow families to enjoy nature together on their properties for generations.
Each tract features natural characteristics like terraces, dripping springs, 40-mile views, open spaces, and dense cedar. “Not everyone desires to have a large, costly ranch,” says Mike. “Our offering of smaller ranchette tracts allows people to experience a ranch-like environment at an affordable price.”
The relationship with nature is personal for the Clinards. Kim shares, “After experiencing a tragic loss several years ago, the outdoors became a haven for me, a place to connect with the Lord and find solace and healing.” Kim and Mike hope others can experience the same through the “Ranches at” communities.
Not only is it wise to invest in land with epic views on the fringe of urban growth, but it’s also important to invest in preserving the Hill Country from high-density development, protecting flora and fauna, and replenishing our aquifers.
When exploring the breathtaking property with visitors, at each subsequent tract the Clinards tell them, “It gets better.” By investing in nature and gathering together, with each generation it truly can get better.

The Stevens family was visiting Garner State Park when the pandemic broke—right after Trevor decided to launch Clean Cut Windows & Doors. Despite an admittedly interesting start, Trevor’s longtime experience and quality vendor contacts meant he was prepared for home office conversions and beyond.
“Everybody was at home, wanting to improve their homes. We were there to fill that niche,” says Trevor. “We tried not to turn away anybody, whether it was a small or big project. That’s the same value we still have today.”
Another Clean Cut value is customer relationships, which is why, with any service, Trevor drives home the importance of giving someone what they paid for. He heavily vets his crew members, works with the best brands, and looks forward to further developing connections by offering new window cleaning services.
“I was brought up by my father and taught by the military to lead from the front,” says Trevor. “From start to finish, I can do every job in this company, but I tell customers that it has a lot more to do with the people who work for me than it does myself. That’s the way it should be.”

BY MEGAN MARSHALLGO ON A FOODIE JOURNEY WITH WORLD TRAVELER CHEF JAVI MAGGIOLO
Chef Javi Maggiolo was the kid who loved performing in front of his whole family, setting up impromptu theaters at home and charging admission. To put it simply, he’s always been a hustler. Today, that drive manifests in his expanding food empire in Austin and Cedar Park, shaped by a lifetime immersed in culinary delights.
“I was raised with nonnas cooking in the kitchen. I would say that has been my main inspiration—my family,” says Maggiolo. “But thanks to the universe, I got to start traveling. I was so curious and would get lost in cities and towns, talking to people about how they cook. Every time I’d go to a restaurant, whether it would be fancy or have three tables in the corner, I’d always ask for the chef.”
Before donning his own chef’s apron, though, Maggiolo drummed and wrote songs with a rock band in South America, touring globally alongside artists like Gloria Estefan and Collective Soul. This experience opened doors for him to cook for celebrities he encountered on his musical journey. At The Kitchen in The Crossover, you’ll even find snapshots of him with those notable figures.
Transitioning from his music career, Maggiolo ventured into the realm of restaurant restoration, which gave him invaluable insights on how to best operate a food business. Once he realized how much he missed the act of creation, he felt compelled to launch his first Austin food truck brand, Have a Taco. Since then, he has found the perfect life balance and harbors a strong desire to keep building throughout the area.
“What I love the most about working in Austin is that supporting local is a real thing. I’ve been all over, and it’s not like this in other cities. I moved to Austin eight years ago and it’s given me the opportunity to grow this business, to create these concepts. It’s my home and I’m just so grateful to be here,” says Maggiolo. “Now that I’m in Cedar Park, too, I’m crazy in love with the people. They’ve been so kind and supportive of us.”
Across his concepts, Maggiolo is renowned for his unwavering commitment to freshness. His team makes tortillas every morning, sources lobster straight from Maine, and procures bread from Texas bakeries. And although authenticity is important to him, as someone who makes Cuban sandwiches the real Miami way, Maggiolo doesn’t believe in putting food in a specific box—he’s all about fusion. His Hispanic heritage plays a pivotal role in his style as a chef and he enjoys blending culinary traditions, such as Mexican and Japanese.
From the Mediterranean to Thailand and back to the States, Maggiolo’s food trucks and restaurant concepts take customers on a worldwide tour. Whether you’re dining at The Crossover, The Picnic on Barton Springs Road, or on Rainey Street, expect nothing less than expertly crafted dishes prepared by his dedicated cooks. With about 30 team members already on board, Maggiolo recognizes that their shared passion has been instrumental in achieving success with his brands.
“How I feel good is by being creative—that’s what moves me. Creating a menu, just like creating a song, is all about expressing myself,” says Maggiolo. “I have been so fortunate through the years. The joy on peoples’ faces when they try your food is why you do it, why I do it.”
Stay tuned for more from Chef Javi Maggiolo! Give him a follow on Instagram @chefjavimaggiolo to see plenty of exciting things to come.

Step into the world of Tapville Social franchisee and longtime fire and rescue officer Jonathan Viguers
Upon leaving the Army in 2005, Jonathan Viguers wasn’t sure what he wanted to do in civilian life. However, after speaking to firefighter friends who strongly believed they had the best profession and encouraged him to join the ranks, he found his calling.
Nearly 17 years later, Jonathan continues serving as a firefighter and paramedic through the Killeen Fire Department. Every day he does his part to effect change, he realizes all over again just how noble this path is.
“When you arrive on the scene and can help someone in their time of need, it’s a very satisfying feeling,” says Jonathan. “Someone might be having the worst day of their life, but they are happy to see you because you’re there to save the day.”
Outside of his 24- to 48-hour shifts, Jonathan may be found making special events even more special. He and his wife, Meredith, own the catering company Let Us Do The Cooking and a mobile taproom with Tapville Social.
“Along the same lines as firefighting and EMS, it’s about being able to come through, with the addition of doing it better than the other guy,” says Jonathan. “You walk away, whether you profited or not, having given your client an experience that few or no other companies were able to provide.”
Jonathan hopes to leave a lasting impact on those he serves as a first responder and entrepreneur. Alongside Meredith, he has catered for generals, presidents, heads of state, and foreign dignitaries, and made appearances at RodeoHouston, Austin Celtic Festival, Midland County Fair, and Liberty Fest. Their days are full of unforgettable experiences.
“If you believe in the product or service you’re representing, you have to have enough devotion to it and enough patience to see it through,” says Jonathan. “Just give it some time.”
Do you have an upcoming event or private party in town? Reserve Tapville Social - Central Texas’s mobile taproom at tapvillesocial.com or request a quote from Let Us Do The Cooking at letusdothecooking.com. You are sure to enjoy excellent food and drinks!
When you take your seat at a Texas Stars game, expect high energy. From the moment the puck drops to the final buzzer, the H-E-B Center is filled with excitement.
“Attending a hockey game in person is unlike any other sport,” says Broadcasting and Media Relations Manager John Peterson. “The in-game entertainment, fan experiences, music, goal horn, intermission games, etc. make it memorable for the entire family.”
“Texas Stars games are engineered to entertain novice or seasoned hockey fans. They are action-packed
and loud,” says Marketing and Social Media Manager Shelby Haney. “Whether it’s your first or 100th game, you’re guaranteed a good time.”
The players’ devotion is evident on the ice. But beyond the thrill of the game, the team stays committed to community involvement through the Texas Stars Foundation, which supports local non-profits, schools, businesses, and hospitals.
Captain Curtis McKenzie even started a program called Captain’s Kids. Children with illnesses, special
Show support to Cedar Park’s local American Hockey League team, the Texas Stars, and their Texas Stars Foundation
needs, and unique home situations can have a one-of-a-kind game-day experience with their families.
“My favorite part of working for the Texas Stars is bringing the brand to life,” says Haney. “I love being on the front lines, online through our social channels and engaging with our fans. I also love getting to put together theme nights and activities for when they attend our games, making sure they leave with a positive experience.”
“Not many people can truly say they love what they do. I can honestly say that I do,” says Peterson. “I love coming to work every day, being around the team, mingling with the fans, and getting paid to watch hockey—a sport I’ve had a passion for since I was a kid. It’s not something I take for granted.”

USING THESE TIPS YOU CAN MAKE A DELICIOUS HOMEMADE BARBECUE SAUCE.
A good barbecue sauce is comprised of a variety of the same six components. The key is to discover what style you enjoy most, and don’t be afraid to experiment. Oh, and taste often during the preparation process to adjust if so desired.
SOMETHING SWEET
This can be honey, cola, molasses, preserves, brown sugar, or syrup. This caramelizes as you cook, bringing those smoky, sugary flavors.
SOMETHING TANGY
Think vinegar, mustard, or citrus. This is what brings the zing to your sauce.
SOMETHING SPICY
This provides your heat: a hot sauce is a great choice. A good rule of thumb is to use about 1/2 teaspoon for every cup of sauce you’re making.
SOMETHING LIQUID
It can be beer, water, chicken stock, soda, or wine. Start with about 1/2 a cup and see what happens.
SOMETHING TOMATO
You’ll most likely use ketchup, but you can also use tomato paste.
THE SPICE COMBINATION
This can depend on your liking and taste and can include anything from onion powder to garlic powder to chili powder to allspice to cayenne pepper to mustard powder to liquid smoke to cumin to Worcestershire sauce and more. Start with a teaspoon of salt, and keep tasting as you experiment with your desired spices.
• 2 cups ketchup
• 1 cup water
• 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
• 5 tablespoons brown sugar
• 5 tablespoons sugar
• 1/2 tablespoon black pepper
• 1/2 tablespoon onion powder
• 1/2 tablespoon ground mustard
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to simmer. Cook uncovered, stirring frequently, for 1 hour 15 minutes.
