When we think about dental health, we often focus on brushing and flossing. But did you know your gut health, the balance of bacteria in your digestive system, has a direct impact on your teeth and gums?
Recent studies show a powerful connection between the gut and the mouth. They’re part of the same internal ecosystem. Inflammation that begins in the gut doesn’t stay there. It can travel through the body and show up as gum disease, bad breath, mouth ulcers, tooth decay, and even bone loss.
Conditions like inflammatory bowel disease and acid reflux often come with oral symptoms, including ulcers, enamel erosion, and gum inflammation. An unbalanced gut can weaken your immune response, making it harder to fight off oral infections. But when your gut microbiome is healthy, it helps regulate inflammation, supports healing, and promotes overall mouth health.
At E Dental Solutions, we take a whole-body approach to dentistry. We ask about more than just your teeth, we consider digestion, stress, sleep, and overall lifestyle to better understand what’s happening beneath the surface. Whether you’re dealing with chronic gum problems, dry mouth, or recurring cavities, we focus on long-term solutions that get to the root cause.
Because dentistry shouldn’t just fix teeth, it should support your entire well-being. Come experience the difference in care that treats the whole of you, not just your smile. Call us today at (520) 745-5496 to schedule your consultation. Your Gut, And Your Smile, Will Thank You.

When Janet Smolic made her first hat, it wasn’t about style—it was about getting through the day. After losing her father, her niece, and then her son in just a few months, she was completely overwhelmed by grief and looking for anything to hold onto.
“I lived in that room,” she says, describing her garage-turned-art studio. “I tried everything... Painting, crafting, anything to help me stay grounded.”
Then one October afternoon, she saw a video of someone making a hat. Curious, she gave it a try. She cut out the pieces, picked some lace, and started building something beautiful. That first hat—yellow-orange with hand-cut lace appliqués—was more than just a project. It was a turning point.
Since then, hats have become Janet’s way forward. Made from felt or straw, every one of her pieces is unique, heartfelt, and a reflection of her healing.
Janet’s style is as dynamic as her personality. “I’m a hippie and a cowgirl. I raise chickens, I ride motorcycles,” she says with a laugh. “And I think all of that shows up in my hats.”
Her designs mix rustic and romantic— leather bands, soft lace, flower appliqués, hand-burned details. Some are Western, some are whimsical, and some look like they belong at Coachella. No two are ever the same.
She starts with a basic hat body, which she buys from a wholesaler. “They’re handmade in Mexico and shipped to Texas,” she says. “Then I pick the styles I like—flat brims, cowboy hats, fedoras—and that’s when the fun begins.”
She collects materials from all over: Hobby Lobby, Amazon, local shops—wherever inspiration strikes. Lately, she’s been experimenting with straw hats and even designing custom baseball caps.
Sometimes she starts with a clear idea, and other times she just goes with the flow. “I might have a plan, or I might stare at it for a while, add something, walk away, come back later. It can take hours or days. But when it clicks, I know it.”
Before she begins, she often slips into what she calls “crafting meditation.” “It clears my head. If I’m creatively stuck, that’s how I reset.”
At first, Janet made hats just for herself. But now, custom requests are coming in fast.
Her son-in-law asked for a hat that reminded him of home, with trees and mountains. Another customer wanted a hat for her husband, filled with fossils, dinosaurs, and forest images, all his favorite things.
“I love doing customs,” Janet says. “But I always tell people: give me room to play. I want to use your ideas, but I need freedom to be creative.”
That flexibility extends to her prices and timeline, too. Most hats cost between $35 and $125, depending on the materials and time. But time, she’s learned, can’t be rushed.
“Some days, everything just works,” she says. “Other days, I’m redoing things over and over. But even the tough ones usually turn out to be my favorites.”
Even when she’s struggling, she says, “I feel content. I know I’m on the right path.”
Janet is still in the early stages of building her brand. Right now, she sells at local markets, like the Foothills Community Market, and shares her work on Instagram at @front_r_fashion.
You can find Janet Smolic’s handmade designs at local Tucson markets or online via Instagram: @front_r_fashion. Custom orders are available upon request!
“I’m a hippie and a cowgirl. I raise chickens, I ride motorcycles,” Janet says with a laugh. “And I think all of that shows up in my hats.”
Eventually, she’d love to partner with boutiques or open her own storefront. “If I could work on hats in the shop while people browsed,” she says, “that would be the dream.”
The elements can be tricky— Arizona wind isn’t kind to market tents—and learning to market herself has been a challenge. “Getting your name out there is the hardest part,” she says. “You pour your heart into this, and sometimes still wonder—am I doing the right thing?”
But the reactions from customers, both online and in person, keep her going. “People tell me they’ve never seen anything like my hats,” she says. “That makes me feel like I’m on to something.”
Grief didn’t stop Janet Smolic—it pushed her in a new direction.
In the quiet of her art space, surrounded by fabric scraps and calming music, she’s found something she hadn’t felt in a long time: peace. Hat by hat, she’s pieced together a new life—one shaped not just by loss, but by courage, creativity, and purpose.
What started as a way to cope has become a way to live again. With each design, each color, each carefully chosen detail, Janet isn’t just making hats, she’s making space for joy.
“I don’t know exactly where it’s all headed,” she says, “but I can feel it—I’m meant to be doing this.”
People may come for the hats, but it’s Janet’s spirit they remember.

ARTICLE BY ANNA LINEBERRY PHOTOGRAPHY COURTESY OF SUN TREASURZ
At the heart of every Sun Treasurz creation is a deep respect for heritage, craftsmanship, and culture. Operating as a remote business, Sun Treasurz is known especially for their handmade Native American-style moccasins, each pair a unique expression of tradition, artistry, and personal identity.
Co-owners Mike Kreus and Sheila Merriman launched Sun Treasurz after working at Desert Sun, a Tucson business that closed after 50 years. During their time there, Kreus primarily focused on crafting moccasins, while Merriman handled sales.
He's become well known for
Before joining Desert Sun, Kreus made horsehair bands and belts. But it was learning the art of moccasin-making from a Navajo man named Lenny that truly transformed his path. That hands-on experience became the foundation for starting a new venture with Merriman and opening up their business, Sun Treasurz. Today, that early mentorship continues to shape their craft.
Each pair of moccasins is a blend of tradition and thoughtful design. These designs are based on the traditional styles of Native American peoples of the Southwest. The soles of the moccasins are precisely shaped by hand and joined to the suede or deer hide through a hidden stitching method. The materials are all authentic: durable cowhide forms the soles, while suede and deer hide make up the tops. Sun Treasurz sources their deer hide from Maine, which Merriman states is a high-quality deer hide.
Taking up to two hours per pair, every piece of the moccasins is cut by hand, using no machinery. Occasionally, they collaborate with Kreus’ Navajo mentor to fulfill orders from customers who prefer moccasins made by a Native American artisan.
As Kreus puts it, “Our moccasins are not mass produced.” These moccasins are one of a kind, handmade with skill and care.
For Kreus and Merriman, the motivation to start a business came from honoring the makers behind each piece. The immense time, care and effort that go into every creation sets them apart. Sun Treasurz celebrates the stories and hard work of makers from all different backgrounds. The passion these makers have for their craft is reflected in their work.
One of their mottos is, “We honor exceptional handcrafted products and the artists who make them, and we want to support a world where beautiful goods and their makers can have a positive impact.”
Sheila recalls meaningful conversations with artisans like Shaun Rogers, a Navajo and Hopi craftsman, whose personal journey exemplifies the spirit behind each of his creations.
Each piece carries its own story. That’s what makes them truly special.
Sun Treasurz also features a variety of jewelry, most of which is crafted using sterling silver, with some nickel silver pieces as well. Some of the nickel silver pieces were made by a Navajo artisan who was still developing his skills. Over the past two years, he has grown into working with sterling silver and red brass, giving his jewelry a more unique style.
Availability and affordability are crucial in determining what materials are used in these pieces. Handmade pieces take time and care; some pieces can take up to a year to be made.
The jewelry often includes different types of turquoise, along with spiny oyster, mother of pearl, onyx, obsidian and coral. While their current most expensive piece is a four-strand necklace priced at $1,500, Sun Treasurz has a variety of pieces, making traditional style accessible to all.
While a physical store remains a future goal, Sun Treasurz thrives today through its remote, flexible business model and personal touch. Mike and Sheila are proud to carry forward a legacy of craftsmanship, community, and culture, making traditional Native American moccasins and jewelry accessible to new generations.
Exquisite 4-strand
“Moccasin making is a dying art,” Kreus said. “Many Native American moccasin and jewelry makers aren’t passing down their skills because younger generations aren’t always interested in learning,” Merriman added.
Still, there are younger artisans who are keeping these traditions alive. Sun Treasurz is committed to preserving the art of moccasin making, ensuring it continues for generations to come.
Sun Treasurz attends the Foothills Community Market every Saturday, where you can find Kreus handcrafting moccasins and Merriman selling jewelry. They also sell moccasins through various Native American trading posts, expanding their reach.
At its core, Sun Treasurz is more than a business, it’s a living tribute to Native American heritage and craftsmanship. Through every stitch, design and carefully selected material, Kreus and Merriman strive to keep traditions alive, while supporting the artists who carry this legacy forward.

DEAN R. SCHEYTT
For retired elementary teacher turned artisan, Gladys Turner Scheytt, creativity has always been a guiding thread. From sewing dresses for her daughter and nieces to crafting baby quilt sets for new arrivals in the family, she’s long embraced the joy of making something beautiful with her hands. But it was the process of bag-making—purses, totes, and backpacks—that ultimately captured her heart. Today, through her business Designs by Giannaly, Gladys pours her passion into creating accessories that marry function with personality. Shoppers can find her unique creations at local markets, on Etsy at Designs by Giannaly, and by following
HOW GLADYS TURNER SCHEYTT TURNS FABRIC, FLAIR, AND PASSION INTO TIMELESS PIECES AT DESIGNS BY GIANNALY.
"I WANT MY BAGS TO MAKE EVERYDAY LIFE MORE FUN AND INTERESTING WHILE BEING USEFUL AND EASY TO CARRY."
her on Instagram @designs_by_giannaly, or her Facebook group, Designs by Giannaly. With each carefully chosen fabric and thoughtful detail, her designs become more than bags—they become statements. Read on to learn more about Gladys’ journey, inspirations, and the artistry behind her work.
Q: HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE, AND HOW DOES IT INFLUENCE THE BAGS YOU DESIGN?
A: I like to keep things simple and add a little fun imagination to my approach. I prefer clean lines and shapes, but I also like to incorporate unexpected things like a bright color, a distinctive printed fabric, or a fun element like my popular iridescent zippers that people love so much. These mixes make each piece unique.
I get my ideas from everyday life and the world around me. I always try to make bags and handbags that are useful and practical.
When I create, I always think about how the bag would integrate into someone’s daily life and show off their personality. I want to make pieces that can be used for many different things yet still feel like one of a kind item. I like to find a balance between practicality and style, and I want my bags to be pleasant to use and look at.
Q: YOU MAKE EVERYTHING FROM CROSSBODY PURSES TO ROOMY BACKPACKS— HOW DO YOU APPROACH DESIGNING FOR BOTH FUNCTION AND STYLE?
A: Before I begin designing a bag, whether it’s a small crossbody purse or a large backpack, I always consider its intended use. I want something that is practical and functional, which is vital. I consider what someone might need to carry, how they will wear the bag, and what features— like pockets, adjustable straps, or secure closures—will make it useful for everyday life. For example, my backpacks serve a dual purpose; they may be worn as a regular backpack or as a shoulder bag by removing the straps and
“WHEN I CREATE, I ALWAYS THINK ABOUT HOW THE BAG WOULD INTEGRATE INTO SOMEONE’S DAILY LIFE AND SHOW OFF THEIR PERSONALITY.”
attaching one strap to the D-rings I placed inside the backpack. Another example is the small crossbody with three card slots for credit cards and two exterior pockets; the front pocket is large enough for most cell phones, and the back pocket—even though it is small—will fit a key fob and small change.
Q: YOUR PIECES FEEL BOLD YET WEARABLE. WHO DO YOU IMAGINE CARRYING ONE OF YOUR BAGS?
A: People like to show their personality through their accessories by wearing purses, jewelry, shoes, or other pieces with their ensemble. I imagine those people wearing one of my bags. I like to see people who are unafraid to incorporate vibrant colors or original and artistic patterns into their attire and seek a bag that makes a statement without compromising comfort or functionality, whether they are heading to work, meeting friends, or exploring the city. In the end, my bags are for those who like to be original, add a dash of boldness, and want their accessories to feel both special and practical.
Q: WHAT ROLE DO MATERIALS, TEXTURES, AND COLOR COMBINATIONS PLAY IN YOUR CREATIVE PROCESS?
A: My creative approach is all about the materials I use. I love working with printed cottons—especially Southwestern prints, artistic prints, and solid colors of marine vinyl—because they allow me many chances to mix and match colors, patterns, and textures in new and interesting ways. I never enter a quilt shop or fabric shop without buying fabric, and readers can join my Facebook page, Designs by Giannaly, to see the new prints I add to my work.
The bright prints give each design a unique look and personality, while the marine vinyl makes it more durable and provides it a sleek, modern look. Many of my customers have expressed their appreciation for the vibrant color combinations in my bags. I deliberately choose combinations that make each bag both eye-catching and useful by balancing brightness with everyday wearability.
Q: DO YOU FOLLOW TRENDS, OR DO YOU PREFER TO CARVE YOUR OWN CREATIVE PATH?
A: I like to see what’s trendy right now for ideas, but I know I like to do things my own way. Fashion is always evolving, but I want my bags to stand out for their unique style, not just because they follow what’s popular right now. I don’t just imitate what’s trendy; I aim to make things that show off my style and vision, which is a mix of being bold and practical. This approach enables me to provide my clients something special and long-lasting, and it keeps my creative process fresh and true. I hope to make bags that people love for their quality and uniqueness, not just because they’re trendy.
Q: WHAT FEELING OR EXPERIENCE DO YOU HOPE SOMEONE HAS THE FIRST TIME THEY CARRY ONE OF YOUR BAGS?
A: I hope that the first time someone carries one of my bags, they feel delighted and confident. I want them to feel special because they have a unique, well-made accessory that shows who we are. I want my bags to make everyday life more fun and interesting while being useful and easy to carry.
One of the most gratifying experiences I have had was witnessing a lady in church carrying one of my purses. I couldn’t believe it. Seeing others use and cherish my work filled me with pride and humility. Those kinds of moments remind me why I do what I do, to create pieces that bring a touch of happiness and a sense of individuality to someone’s day. Observing how people use my bags as both practical items and statement pieces inspires me daily.
It’s all in the details.
What began as a hobby has blossomed into a thriving small business for Gladys Turner Scheytt, the creative force behind Designs by Giannaly. Five years ago, she began sewing purses, totes, and backpacks as a way to combine her love of fabric with her need to stay creatively engaged. Her passion quickly found an audience, and soon her hobby transformed into something more. Today, her crossbody bags and other designs can be found at Saguaro Square on Tucson’s east side, as well as at Sunny Days Gifts and Decor & More on Broadway Boulevard. For those who love to shop local, Gladys is also a familiar face at Foothills Community Market, open and operating on weekends at La Cholla and Ina Road. With a focus on unique fabrics, inventive designs, and meticulous details, Designs by Giannaly celebrates the idea that a bag is more than an accessory—it’s a reflection of personal style.
FOUR RECIPES TO SERVE AT YOUR NEXT DINNER PARTY
ARTICLE BY SYBIL VELARDE, ATSYBILSKITCHEN.COM
Style isn’t limited to what you wear—it’s also how you host. This polished dinner party menu blends global inspiration with classic technique, offering dishes that are as beautiful as they are delicious. Whether it’s the golden crust of a Beef Wellington or the dramatic rise of a soufflé, each recipe brings elegance to the table with ease.
serves four
A beloved Peruvian appetizer, Conchitas a la Parmesana features scallops baked on the half shell and topped with a rich blend of butter, garlic, white wine, and Parmesan cheese.
ingredients
• 12 scallops
• 4 tablespoons butter
• 1 tablespoon lime juice
• A splash of white wine (such as Pinot Grigio)
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
directions
If available, use scallop shells for a traditional presentation; if not, foil cups work well. Place the shells on a baking tray and set a scallop in each. Season with salt and pepper, then drizzle with lime juice and white wine. Top each scallop with grated Parmesan cheese and dot with butter. Place under the broiler for 4 to 5 minutes, until the cheese melts, turns golden, and becomes lightly crisp on top.

This elegant entrée combines tender filet mignon, savory mushroom duxelles, rich pâté, and flaky puff pastry—wrapped and baked to golden perfection.
ingredients
For the Wellingtons:
• 4 (6-ounce) beef tenderloin filets
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon pepper
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 4 (1-ounce) slices of chicken, goose, duck liver, or pork country-style pâté
• 4 thin slices prosciutto
• 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
• 1 large egg, beaten with 2 teaspoons water (for egg wash)
For the Mushroom Duxelles:
• 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
• 2 tablespoons minced shallots
• 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
• 10 ounces button mushrooms, finely chopped
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
• 2 1/2 tablespoons dry white wine
directions
To prepare the mushroom duxelles, melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the shallots and garlic and sauté until softened. Stir in the mushrooms and cook for about 8 minutes, until their moisture evaporates. Add the white wine, let it reduce, then season with salt and pepper. Set aside to cool completely. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Season the beef filets with salt and pepper. In a separate skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat and sear each filet for 1 minute per side to form a crust. Let the filets cool slightly before assembling. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into four squares. On each square, place a slice of prosciutto, then top with a filet. Spoon a layer of the cooled mushroom duxelles over each filet, followed by a slice of pâté. Brush the edges of the pastry with egg wash and fold it over the filling to enclose it completely. Place each wrapped filet seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with additional egg wash. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
serves four
A crisp and elegant side dish perfect for any dinner party.
ingredients
• 1 pound green beans, trimmed
• 3 tablespoons olive oil
• 1/3 cup slivered almonds, toasted
• Salt and pepper, to taste
directions
Blanch the green beans in salted boiling water for about 3 minutes until just tender. Drain and transfer immediately to an ice bath to stop cooking. Pat dry.
Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the green beans and half of the almonds. Toss until warmed through, about 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Transfer to a serving platter and sprinkle with the remaining almonds.
Surprise your guests with this dramatic and delightful dessert: brandy-marinated peaches and ice cream, baked under a fluffy soufflé topping.
ingredients
• Pint of vanilla ice cream
• 3 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
• 2 to 3 tablespoons brandy (or liqueur of your choice)
• Sugar, to taste (for macerating peaches)
• 3 eggs
• 3/4 tablespoon sugar
• 3/4 tablespoon cream
• 2 to 3 drops vanilla extract
• Powdered sugar, for dusting
directions
Macerate the peaches in brandy with a little sugar to taste. Keep the ice cream very cold and firm. Prepare a soufflé dish (see note below) and place it in a roasting pan filled with crushed ice—this insulates the ice cream during baking. Preheat oven to 450°F. Separate the eggs. In a bowl, beat the yolks with sugar, cream, and vanilla until pale and light. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites until stiff but not dry. Fold gently into the yolk mixture. Place the ice cream in the bottom of the soufflé case. Spoon the peaches on top, then cover completely with the soufflé mixture. Dust with powdered sugar. Bake for 5 minutes. Serve immediately.
Soufflé Case Tip: To prepare the soufflé case, wrap parchment paper around the dish to extend its height (the soufflé will rise above the rim). Fold the bottom of the parchment inward and butter the side that touches the dish. Tie with kitchen twine to secure. Remove paper after baking.
MAKE YOUR MONEY WORK FOR YOU

Mobile banking offers convenience and around-the-clock insights
In today’s ever-shifting economic landscape, crafting a solid financial future isn’t just wise–it’s essential. While building lasting security might seem like a marathon, the right strategy can set you on a path to success, turning your financial goals into real, measurable progress.
Enter credit unions: your dedicated partners in financial empowerment. Unlike traditional banks, these not-for-profit financial cooperatives place their members at the heart of every decision. This unique philosophy means their products are designed to simplify your banking life, putting more money directly into your pocket and making your journey smoother, not more complicated.
“CRAFTING A SOLID FINANCIAL FUTURE ISN’T JUST WISE – IT’S ESSENTIAL.”
Imagine your everyday banking working harder for you. True financial confidence begins when your basic accounts do more than just hold your money; they become active tools for growth. Today’s checking options offer digital conveniences like mobile deposit and effortless online bill pay, streamlining your daily routine. But the real magic happens when your checking account goes beyond the basics, actively helping your money stretch further. Picture cashback rewards returning a portion of every purchase to your budget, or protective benefits like cell phone repairs, identity theft assistance and extended warranties. For the avid traveler, even airfare and hotel cashback can free up valuable funds. These smart benefits not only safeguard what matters but also ensure more of your hard-earned money stays with you, ready to fuel your savings goals.
“TRUE FINANCIAL CONFIDENCE BEGINS WHEN YOUR BASIC ACCOUNTS DO MORE THAN JUST HOLD YOUR MONEY; THEY BECOME ACTIVE TOOLS FOR GROWTH.”
At the core of lasting financial security lies a thriving savings plan. With their member-first approach, credit
unions channel value back to you through competitive rates, fewer fees, and higher dividends on savings accounts. This translates directly into your money multiplying faster, amplifying your efforts with every passing month.
For those looking to maximize their deposit earnings, money market accounts are a great option. They typically boast higher interest rates than standard savings, allowing your investment to flourish while still providing convenient access to your funds without penalty. It’s the perfect blend of dynamic growth and essential flexibility for your larger balances.
Another powerful avenue for secure savings growth is through certificate accounts (CDs). These offer a predictable, low-risk method to boost your funds. You simply choose a term that aligns with your financial timeline–whether a few months or several years–and lock in a competitive fixed rate. This commitment often unlocks even more attractive rates, ensuring your money is truly working its hardest for you, delivering clear and reliable returns.
“CREDIT UNIONS CHANNEL VALUE BACK TO YOU THROUGH COMPETITIVE RATES, FEWER FEES AND HIGHER DIVIDENDS ON SAVINGS ACCOUNTS.”
The most impactful financial relationships are built on trust and a commitment to people over profits. Credit unions embody this philosophy, placing your well-being at the forefront. This member-centric approach puts you firmly in control of your financial journey.
Hughes Federal Credit Union has proudly served our members and the Tucson community for over 73 years. Our mission is clear: to make a positive difference in each member’s financial life. We achieve this by offering a broad spectrum of products and services, meticulously designed to help you reach your financial goals at every stage of life.
"Choosing a financial institution that genuinely aligns with your values and priorities is a pivotal step toward securing your financial future."

At Leman Academy of Excellence, we believe that a quality, classical education expands the opportunities for each young person and is vital to the success of the entire community. A classical education turns to history to help a child gain a greater understanding of the world around them.
We believe that there is no greater way for your child to achieve success than to gain knowledge, build character and develop strong values. These core beliefs guide our course of study in our grade K-8 programs as well as in our preschool classrooms.

INthis unexpected love affair, fashion and interiors are more than just a simple pairing—they are rooted in culture, creativity, and the human desire for self-expression.
As conscious consumers of the 21st century, participating in a retail landscape that is oversaturated and struggling to adapt to the ever-changing demands of the modern customer, our purchasing power should not only respond to a feeling of want but also prioritize items that reflect who we are and who we aspire to be. This is clearly visible through the representation of fashion and interiors.
Although we tend to consider cost-per-wear primarily when it comes to clothing, this same principle applies to furniture and the function it brings to the home. Aesthetics and functionality both play a role in this pairing, painting a picture
for the rest of the world of who the wearer is and how they live in their space.
The woman who wears a blazer with sharp shoulders that makes her feel powerful in her everyday life—or the black dress that gives her a necessary boost of confidence—may naturally gravitate toward sleek, modern furniture that feels equally strong and elevates the space where the modern woman thrives.
In the same way, someone who prefers an effortless ensemble— like their favorite white T-shirt and comfortable denim jeans— may also look for home pieces that are functional and make their guests feel at ease. Even a handmade rug, one that sparks conversation about where it was found and adds a focal point to a room, mirrors how we search our closets for a sweater tied to a cherished memory.

Just as we carefully choose outfits to express ourselves, it’s equally important to ensure that our living spaces are designed with the same intention. More than ever, modern buyers are making purchasing decisions based on personal morals and values, forming a new wave of consumers who seek products that are both high-quality and environmentally or socially conscious, whether for themselves or their homes.
The following imagery affirms that living a timeless lifestyle across all aspects of life is possible through the thoughtful styling of sustainable clothing and vintage furniture. As the modern retail landscape continues to evolve, it’s become increasingly vital to make conscious consumer choices—ones that allow us to express our truest selves through both our wardrobes and the places we call home.
