From NYC to Wedgewood-Houston: Pastis Expands Its Legacy
Since opening in June, Nashville’s dining scene has been buzzing about Pastis, the NYC-born Parisian brasserie from acclaimed STARR Restaurants, now located in Wedgewood-Houston. Already one of the city’s most sought-after dinner reservations, the restaurant just turned up the heat even further with the launch of its highly anticipated brunch and lunch menus.
“It's giving a more natural ebb and flow to service as now you're not fighting over a reservation for dinner, and you're able to enjoy it for every meal,” general manager Tyler St. Denis explains. “There are so many offerings that are available, and it still complements the dinner menu and gives a little bit more versatility.”
Long before opening its Nashville location, Pastis had already earned its place in modern dining. Originally opened in 1999 by Keith McNally in New York’s Meatpacking District, the brasserie quickly grew in popularity, helping to define an era of downtown dining. Over the years, Pastis continued to grow, leading to expansions in Washington, D.C., and Miami, with the two locations carrying the same sense of charm and sophistication that made the original so beloved.
Now, Nashville diners get their own taste of that legacy. The menu, under the direction of Executive Chef Mark Coleman, reflects an approachable French dining experience. From lobster frites to duck confit, every dish is designed to honor tradition while inviting guests to linger, indulge, and come back for more.
“It is just synonymous with a great meal with great friends and great establishment,” Tyler says. “And you can come here for any experience, whether it's a burger and beers, or celebrating your parents' birthday. The level of service and quality of food is top-notch.”
With the arrival of the new lunch and brunch menus, Pastis has introduced several new dishes that are both timeless and indulgent. Buttermilk pancakes, quiche Lorraine, and even a perfectly crafted grilled chicken sandwich are some of the new menu items that are quickly becoming customer favorites. The cocktail menu has expanded as well, with guests now being able to sip on a crisp mimosa or a Bloody Mary to round out their Sunday brunch experience.
Whether it’s rolling out the newest menus or putting the finishing touches on the highly anticipated patio – complete with its own bar and room for 60 to 70 guests – no two days ever look the same for Tyler and the rest of the team at Pastis.
“IT IS JUST SYNONYMOUS WITH A GREAT MEAL WITH GREAT FRIENDS AND GREAT ESTABLISHMENT,”
TYLER SAYS. “AND YOU CAN COME HERE FOR ANY EXPERIENCE, WHETHER IT'S A BURGER AND BEERS, OR CELEBRATING YOUR PARENTS' BIRTHDAY. THE LEVEL OF SERVICE AND QUALITY OF FOOD IS TOP-NOTCH.”
“It’s so nice to be in an interactive space where every day is different,” he explains. “You are meeting so many people, and in Nashville, everyone is so nice. “
With its rich New York legacy, timeless French charm, and a distinctly Nashville energy, Pastis has quickly established itself as more than just another addition to the city’s dining scene – it continues to raise the bar for what dining in Wedgewood-Houston can be.
Nashville’s dining scene has plenty of hot spots, but few deliver the kind of charm, energy, and flavor that Pastis brings to the table. Now, with brunch and lunch officially in the mix, the buzz is only getting louder. So, go ahead, book a table, order that cocktail, and make your next meal one to remember at Pastis.

CREATIVE SCOTT COATS GIVES INSTRUMENTS A SECOND LIFE
ARTICLE
Dallas Owen commissioned local artist Scott Coats to make a sentimental piece for him and his family after his son was having medical issues at birth. His son’s lungs were not developed. “Life Giver” was then thoughtfully created. The sculpture displays larger-than-life human lungs taking shape into vibrant wings. The piece was to celebrate God's goodness and as a reminder that it is God’s breath in our lungs. A poem was presented along with the piece, as Coats likes to add with his work. The poem, “Lungs Laced in Life and Laughter,” accompanied the sculpture. The piece is lit with LED lights to glow from within, giving peace and optimism to its viewer.
Meet Scott Coats, artist, missionary, writer, and worship leader. His medium of choice might strike a surprising chord with you. Coats often creates sculpted pieces using people’s heirloom instruments and transforms them into meaningful, one-of-a-kind pieces for the families, displayed in gorgeous expressions of whimsy and faith.
Although Coats has not studied art formally, he grew up loving art and the outdoors, often doodling on church bulletins while sitting in a pew or escaping outside to the woods nearby.
His first piece, called “The Sound of the Harvest,” incorporates the mechanics of a piano, balancing inspiration from nature and music. The keys start to look like stalks of wheat, and the way they blow in the wind, spreading throughout the sky and shooting upwards towards the sun. This was the beginning of an artistic journey that Coats would take.
Since then, Coats has gone on to create original and innovative pieces based on his faith and passion for music. “Modern Fossil” is another beautifully expressed piece,

with rich and bright blues, cogs all intertwining and working together in a common function, purpose, and aesthetic.
The first art that was showcased was in his hometown, Raleigh, North Carolina, at Good Trip Gallery. The sculpture is an 11-foot-tall, bold and striking lion’s head and bust, all made with five pianos over 100 years old and organ pipes for the lion’s teeth, with goose feathers for the fur.
When describing his unique choice of medium, Coats uses instruments because there is “so much beauty in the instrument itself.” Nature and musical mechanics inspire his work, asking himself, “What would it look like if I were to break apart this instrument?” What can it transpire to be?
To get a mental picture, think of a cascading waterfall of cymbals or flutes being reworked into a bouquet of flowers.
Instruments are a tough medium. You can only do so much with it, but because of those limitations of movement, stretching, and sculpting, it can be a blessing in disguise. “It pushes and squeezes the creativity out of you,” said Coats.
Owen and his wife will be hosting a private showing and wine tasting in October to celebrate Coat’s art. The in-home gallery will present “Connected,” “Seraph,” “Scales,” “Modern Fossil,” and 15 other unique pieces never seen and ready for purchase.
You can reach Coats via his website or on Instagram.

HOW A MOM FROM BRENTWOOD IS MAKING GLOBAL WAVES WITH A MISSION TO PROTECT PEOPLE, PETS, AND THE PLANET
DR. CHRISTINA RAHM’S MISSION TO CURE THE CAUSES HEART-DRIVEN SCIENCE:
ARTICLE BY MARTY MCGINLEY | PHOTOGRAPHY BY JOY SMALLWOOD
Dr. Christina Rahm
In a world that often treats wellness like a quick fix, Dr. Christina Rahm brings a refreshingly personal approach. She's not just a scientist or entrepreneur. She's a mom of four, a wife, a cancer survivor, and a woman on a mission. If you spot her picking up produce at the Franklin Farmers Market or supporting local shops downtown, she'll probably smile and say hello. For Christina, connection is everything.
FAMILY FIRST, ALWAYS
At the core of everything she does is one simple question: Would I give this to my own family?
As the formulator behind The ROOT Brands and the woman behind more than 20 health-focused companies, Christina's work is fueled by love. "When I look at my kids, I don't just see my future. I see the future of this world," she says.
The foundation of her work is something she calls Cure the Causes, which was recently approved as a registered trademark. It's not just a phrase. It's the lens she uses for every formula and product. The idea is to stop treating symptoms and start asking why. What's actually causing the issue in the first place? To Dr. Rahm, this trademark is like a powerful anthem for healing. It's a heartfelt call for families battling chronic illness.
That message, born from Christina's own health battles, is now reaching families around the world. Her Cure the Causes book series is available in 27 languages and in the hands of people in over 89 countries.

“I REALIZED THAT EVERYTHING IN OUR LIVES IS CONNECTED TO OUR HEALTH, AND I NEEDED TO ADDRESS NOT JUST THE CONDITION, BUT ITS UNDERLYING CAUSE.”
A SMALL-TOWN GIRL WITH A BIG VISION
Christina grew up in Dexter, Missouri, raised by college-educated grandmothers who believed education wasn't optional. It was expected, and it came with the responsibility to lift others up.
Her faith has always been her foundation. During the most difficult seasons - her cancer diagnosis, Lyme disease, and the challenge of carrying twins while fighting for her health - she leaned into prayer, trust, and her belief that life has a greater purpose. "God absolutely carried me through the darkest parts of my story," she shares. "That's what gives me the strength to help others.
AN ANTHEM BECOMES REALITY
The trademark registration of Cure the Causes in July 2025 marked a pivotal moment in Dr. Rahm's journey, symbolizing the official recognition of her "anthem for healing." After witnessing families struggle with chronic conditions conventional medicine couldn't solve, she views this milestone as a validation of her deeply personal mission.
Dr. Rahm shares, "When I first coined 'Cure the Causes,' it was a desperate mother's cry. I fought for my life while carrying twins, determined to find a better solution."
Her early lessons became crucial when she faced her own health challenges. Rather than follow conventional treatments, she relied on her scientific training to find root-cause solutions. "I couldn't risk conventional treatments while carrying my babies," she explains. "I realized that everything in our lives is connected to our health, and I needed to address not just the condition, but its underlying cause."
“WHEN SCIENCE ALIGNS WITH LOVE, AMAZING THINGS HAPPEN. AND WHEN MOTHERS LEAD IN SCIENCE, THE WHOLE WORLD BENEFITS!”
Dr. Christina Rahm
THE SCIENCE OF LOVE
Dr. Rahm boasts impressive credentials, including Master's and Doctorate degrees in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, and Strategic Science, as well as postdoctoral studies at Harvard in Bioscience Engineering and Nanobiotechnology. She has worked in leadership roles at major pharmaceutical companies like Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, and Biogen.
However, her proudest achievements are the patented solutions and trademarked methodologies she developed for families through The ROOT Brands, which operates in over 89 countries. Her formulations focus on detoxification and cellular health, products she trusts for her own children. "When you're formulating for your family, there's no room for compromise," she asserts.
BEYOND HUMAN HEALTH: A PLANETARY VISION
Dr. Rahm's protective instincts extend beyond her immediate family to include what she refers to as the "three P's": People, Pets, and Planet. Through her portfolio of over 25 companies at DRC Ventures, she is committed to creating sustainable and health-focused solutions.
Her ventures include Ella Pure Skincare with clean beauty products based on her patented detox formulations, Merci Dupre Clothiers for sustainable fashion, Rahm Roast clean organic coffee, Xoted Biotechnology Labs - a $4.2 million research facility focused on plant-based detoxification, and Strata Biotech - an advanced biotechnology manufacturing facility.
"My children will inherit this planet," she emphasizes. "I refuse to hand them a world more toxic than the one I found. Every business decision, every product development choice, is made with their future in mind."
THE RIPPLE EFFECT OF MATERNAL WISDOM
"I'm thrilled to announce that the 'Cure the Causes' book series is now available in 27 languages and loved worldwide!" she says. Each volume delivers a powerful message: "Live the life you want, not the one someone else has chosen for you."
Dr. Rahm feels it's incredible knowing that a mom in Japan or a dad in Brazil is connecting with the same transformative anthem that shaped her family's journey.
"I write these books as if I'm chatting with my kids," she shares. "I want them to feel empowered to enhance their health and happiness."
A GLOBAL FAMILY
Through the Rahm Foundation and her humanitarian work as co-chair for the UN Women for Peace in Tennessee, Dr. Rahm extends her protective instincts globally. Her approach to philanthropy mirrors her scientific methodology: addressing root causes rather than surface symptoms.
"When you're a mother, you can't help but see all children as your children," she explains. "Whether it's developing clean water solutions for communities in need or creating scholarship programs for young women in science, it all comes back to the same principle: protect and nurture the next generation."
THE FUTURE OF FAMILY-FIRST SCIENCE
Dr. Rahm's vision is deeply rooted in the values of the strong women who raised her and the love she shares with her family. Together with her husband, Clayton, they aim to create a legacy that prioritizes people, families, and the health of our planet over profit.
"Success isn't about my achievements; it's about ensuring my children and every child, inherit a world free from harmful toxins," she emphasizes.
Today, they call Brentwood home and enjoy simple moments together at the Franklin Farmers Market or downtown in the square. When time allows, the family escapes to their farm in Dexter, where they visit with her parents and enjoy the peace and joy of life alongside cows, chickens, and goats.
In addressing complex global challenges, Dr. Christina Rahm highlights the power of a mother's love transformed into innovative science. Her mission, Cure the Causes, focuses not just on healing but on preventing the need for it in future generations.
"When science aligns with love, amazing things happen. And when mothers lead in science, the whole world benefits!"

AC Hotel's Menu is Ready For Fall
ARTICLE BY SOPHIE BROCK | PHOTOGRAPHY BY SOPHIE BROCK
In a city where restaurants constantly try to outshine one another, the AC Hotel, located in Brentwood, offers a dining experience that stands out, with a menu that feels both refined and well-rounded. Open to both guests and locals, the hotel has expanded its culinary offerings to include a 24-hour coffee service, catering to both early risers and night owls alike.
AC Hotel’s menu has been carefully curated, with savory meatballs and perfectly crispy potatoes being two standout staples. While those dishes shine, their breakfast menu is equally worth boasting about.
“Wake up to the understated luxury of a European Continental Breakfast—a morning ritual steeped in simplicity, freshness, and timeless charm,” Brandon Steinhurst says. “This breakfast is not about indulgence, but about refinement and balance, where every element speaks to tradition and quality.”
It may be hard to pick a favorite, but the croissants are a clear highlight, pairing effortlessly with both coffee and the rest of the breakfast menu. “Crisp, flaky croissants, still warm from the oven, share the table with buttery, fruity scones, and whole grain bread,” Brandon says. “Each offers a canvas for sweet fruit preserves, butter, and golden honey.”
Of course, the appeal of the AC Hotel extends beyond the kitchen with Truman’s American Ace Wine & Cocktail bar located on the fourth floor of the hotel. Home to Brentwood’s only rooftop, guests and locals alike can enjoy a cocktail with a view, without the drive downtown. Besides serving up quality cocktails, the space transforms during their weekly live music session, where up-and-coming artists can share their talents.
On the second Saturday of each month, AC Hotel hosts a themed cocktail class, offering patrons an immersive experience exploring the history of timeless drinks, learn hands-on techniques, and savor every sip.
“The class hosts up to 10 people at a time, during which they learn to craft three different cocktails of the bartender's discretion and learn the history and fun facts of the cocktails they make,” Ranisha Spence explains. “It's a fun, immersive, and informative class.”
“This breakfast is not about indulgence, but about refinement and balance, where every element speaks to tradition and quality.”
Each class is designed to feel intimate and engaging, giving patrons the opportunity to get hands-on with the process. With a rotating lineup of themes, every class offers a new experience, ensuring no two classes are ever alike. The October class, taking place on October 11, is a Harry Potter-themed class that promises a magical twist on mixology.
And the fun doesn’t stop there. Now that fall is in full swing, AC Hotel is weaving the flavors and comforts of the season throughout its menu. Guests can look forward to crisp specialty salads, hearty soups ideal for cooler weather, and cocktails that lean into the warm essence of autumn. It’s a culinary shift that highlights both comfort and creativity, ensuring guests experience the cozy richness of fall with every dish and drink.
“I'm looking forward to working with my bartenders through the fall season to implement new original rotating cocktails that will showcase each one's individual creativity and capabilities,” Ranisha explains. “Look forward to warm, exciting, seasonal cocktails that embody the heart and soul of the fall seasons.”
Whether it’s for a date night, an after-work happy hour, or catching up with friends over a cocktail class, AC Hotel is the perfect place to do it. Check out their social media for more events going on.

GATHER AROUND THE TABLE
O.P. JENKINS FURNITURE & DESIGN SHOWS HOW TO HOST IN STYLE
Cool, crisp fall nights are the perfect reason to gather friends and family around the table. Whether hosting a football watch party, planning a cozy dinner party, or simply enjoying a meal with loved ones, every occasion deserves to be set in a way that makes a statement. At O.P. Jenkins Furniture & Design, you’ll find timeless pieces that transform your home into the ultimate refined space for entertaining.

“Everything needs to feel usable and fun,” Jessica Wilkerson explains. “We don't like stuffy things, we're not a stuffy business. We like things to feel inviting and warm, and having things that have that kind of casual undertone but can still be dressed up. You can use these dishes for a formal dinner, but you can also use these dishes for a girls' lunch.”
O.P. Jenkins opened in 1907 as a family-owned business based in Knoxville. In 2016, they went on to open their Franklin
location, which has since become a go-to destination for those seeking timeless, investment pieces in both furniture and decor.
“We love being part of this community,” Jessica says. “We are a Tennesseebased business. We're a Tennessee family-owned business. We very much pride ourselves in being part of the communities that we are in.”
Williamson County is a community that knows how to host, and with stores like
“WE LIKE THINGS TO FEEL INVITING AND WARM, AND HAVING THINGS THAT HAVE THAT KIND OF CASUAL UNDERTONE BUT CAN STILL BE DRESSED UP.”
O.P. Jenkins, finding the perfect pieces for any occasion becomes effortless. Before curating the perfect tablescape, it all begins with investing in the foundation of every gathering: the dining table.
“I'm going to say this day in and day out, get that dining table,” Jessica says. “There are lots of things you can do around it, but that is the core piece. Your furniture is your investment. You want things that you can layer and change in and out, get pieces that feel solid, that feel sturdy, that your guests feel comfortable at.”
Once you have invested in a dining table that is perfect for any occasion, you can start finding decor that works for your table.
A dining table is the anchor of every gathering. Once you’ve found a timeless piece that suits any occasion, the next step is adding decor that elevates the experience and makes the table your own.
“You're working on building what your entertaining space is going to be,” Jessica points out. “Investing in a few specific serving pieces, whether that is your dinnerware, or whether it's the right set of
platters. You want pieces that feel like your starting spot, that you can add to seasonally, and that you can add different things into each one, but you want those core pieces that you feel like you could use spring, summer, fall, and winter.”
While investing in timeless, classic pieces lays the foundation, Jessica encourages homeowners to have fun with their spaces. Trends bring fresh energy into a room, and this fall, she notes that incorporating more color has become especially popular.
“People are ready for color,” she says. “We had all these solid white spaces for so long, but people are ready for rich, bold color.”
This season, richer tones and plush textures like velvet are an easy way to incorporate color, instantly warming a room and making any space feel inviting and cozy.
To celebrate O.P. Jenkins’ anniversary, both locations host their annual anniversary sale each October. This year, the sale runs from Oct. 13 to Nov. 29, with every item marked down, regardless of whether you buy in stock or custom pieces. It’s the perfect opportunity to invest in timeless furniture and accessories.

STRATEGIES THAT WORK
Unique and exciting restaurants that satisfy on every level
ARTICLE BY SUE BALDANI | PHOTOGRAPHY BY
CHRISTY HUNTER, TAKEN AT THE PATTERSON HOUSE
When dining at a restaurant, most people don’t realize the planning and thought process that goes into its creation before it even opens its doors. “We're not opening a restaurant in 90 days,” says Benjamin Goldberg, co-owner of Strategic Hospitality in Nashville. “It's usually two to three years of work before you get to unlock the door and have guests come through.”
“I pinch myself every day that we get to work with Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood…” says Max.
Benjamin, along with fellow co-owner and brother Max Goldberg and partner Josh Habiger, understands precisely what’s needed to open a place where people want to relax, have fun, or celebrate special moments. They also know how to keep them coming back—they’ve been nominated several times by the James Beard Foundation for Outstanding Restaurateur.
Founded in 2006 by Benjamin and Max, Strategic Hospitality’s primary goal is to make their hometown of Nashville an even better place to visit. “The city is growing and we want to work with really talented, wonderful people in whatever capacity we can,” says Benjamin. “Whether that’s partnering on restaurants, working with management within restaurants, or growing and mentoring.”
Some of these partners include well-known names. “I pinch myself every day that we get to work with Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, who are two of the greatest human beings on the planet,” says Max.
Their honky-tonk bar, Friends In Low Places, opened in March of 2024.
Every one of the restaurants in their portfolio has something unique and exciting to offer. Some of these include:
• The Patterson House: A cocktail bar known for its craft cocktails and intimate atmosphere.
• The Catbird Seat: A dining experience that offers a multi-course tasting menu at the chef’s counter.
• Bastion: A cozy restaurant featuring a multi-course tasting menu and a casual cocktail bar.
• Henrietta Red: An American restaurant and oyster bar focusing on seasonal ingredients.
• Babychan: a Japanese-inspired bakery and café.
• The Band Box, The Country Club at First Horizon Park, Locust, Kisser, and several Nashville Airport concepts: Kitty Hawk Eat + Drink, Voodoo Doughnut, The Titans Press Box, and The Music City Shop.
“The city is growing and we want to work with really talented, wonderful people in whatever capacity we can.”
— BENJAMIN GOLDBERG
“The spaces that we create are all different, because just like Nashville, things change every day, and we want to be a part of that change,” says Max.
A huge factor in their success is the city itself. “Nashville and its surrounding areas are the most exciting places in the world right now,” says Max. “We feel a deep sense of commitment to give back, and try to be good stewards of the community that's been really good to us. I think the basis for why we do what we do is because we love to create really fun spaces that add value to the city Benjamin and I grew up in.”
What also makes the company stand out is its appreciation for its team and partnerships. “At the core of our business, we're a hospitality-driven company, which means that we take care of the people we get to work with as well as the guests that come into our restaurants,” says Benjamin.
Josh feels the same way, and the brothers believe they’re fortunate to be working alongside him. “We met Josh about 17 years ago, and he became a real force in our lives, not only on a personal level, but professionally,” says Max. “He’s one of the most talented chefs in the world and has allowed us to speak a language and have relationships with folks that we probably wouldn't have had otherwise. Josh is definitely part of our secret sauce.”
Adds Josh, “Having the opportunity to help people open their dream restaurants has been a really cool aspect of the job.”
Another vital member of the team is Jordan Farrell, who began as a server and later became an intern. Today, she is Strategic Hospitality’s director of communications.
“I also want to call out Andy Little, who we were really fortunate to bring in and who's been a chef that we've admired and loved for a long time,” says Max. “I think his addition as our culinary operations director has been a monster, and we're just getting started with the fun we're going to have with him. He's a real legend.”
The partners don’t plan to slow down anytime soon and are looking forward to the future. “But, we're not always looking in the windshield; we’re also looking in the rear view mirror of what incredible things have happened,” says Max. “Even though we're doing great, continued change and evolution in all of our spaces is going to be a huge part of it.
Adds Benjamin, “That's what makes us truly excited to get up every day, as well as working with folks that will drive us and push us forward as much as possible.”

HAVE A TRAINED CHEF COME TO YOUR HOME TO PREPARE HEALTHY MEALS FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY
Preparing healthy meals can be time-consuming and complicated. Rachael Lewis, owner and founder of A Perfect Fit, can help. Since 2019, she has been providing culinary school-trained chefs who craft nutritionally balanced gourmet meals tailored to clients’ tastes, dietary needs, and wellness goals right in their own kitchens.
With a Bachelor of Science in Health and Kinesiology and a background as a fitness professional and personal chef, she has the knowledge and experience to ensure that her clients are highly satisfied. Rachael is proud of the impact she and her team are having on families' overall health.
“We started in St. Louis and now we get to help families, young entrepreneurs, professional athletes, and others in the Dallas and Nashville areas as well,” she says. “And, we're not just cooking meals—we're teaching people how to live healthier lifestyles and showing them that it can be possible.”
Rachael understands that people often set out with the right intentions when it comes to healthy eating, but they frequently get overwhelmed and give up. “We’re trying to make living a healthy lifestyle as effortless as possible for them. What separates us from other personal chef companies is that we involve nutrition heavily into everything we do. We are a health-focused personal chef company, so we have dietitians on staff who work with our chef manager every single month to create the right menus for our clients.”
For clients interested in optimizing their health, A Perfect Fit also offers a proprietary performance bloodwork panel that assesses every major physiological system. “We can take the clients’ lab work and have a dietitian look at it. We can then see what meals would be beneficial to our clients depending on what their labs are showing.”
CONTINUED >
A mother of two young boys, Rachael also believes it’s essential to bring the kids into the meal planning process. “Our children are in a health crisis—40% of them are suffering from chronic health conditions such as obesity, asthma, allergies, and autoimmune diseases, and the majority of these are linked to diets heavily reliant on ultra-processed foods.”
Her new, expanded mission is to impact the next generation and help entire families learn how to implement healthy eating habits. “Your children get excited for the meals because our chefs are coming into your home, teaching your kids about cooking, and providing the food for the table that everyone enjoys,” she says.
Chef Casey heads up the Nashville location, and she's very comfortable around children. “She will make sure that the kids also like what's being cooked, not just the parents, which tends to make everyone happy.”
“I always tell clients that we're there to make your life easier, so your chef has to be on top of things. Chef Casey also has a vast background in making high-quality, nutrient-dense meals, which is something that we really like our chefs to have.”
Menu planning is a collaboration between the client and their chef, and everything is customizable to the client’s needs and preferences. People can sign up for a one-month, threemonth, or six-month term, or a no-commitment term, which is usually for a dinner party or other special occasion. “We have a minimum of once a week for the one-month period, but some families have their chef come twice a week, three times a week, or more,” she says.
Depending on the time of year, A Perfect Fit also offers special menus. For example, there is a fun back-to-school menu with hidden veggie recipes and high-protein options like protein pizza bites.
“A lot of our clients want their chef to help with holidays too because it makes it a whole lot easier when you don't have to worry about being the cook,” says Rachael. Clients can even share favorite family recipes for the chef to make.
A Perfect Fit not only prepares the food, but can put together a grocery list at no extra cost and, if preferred, do the grocery shopping too for an additional fee.
“When I originally started this company, there was a huge gap between what people were eating at home and what their dietician or nutritionist was telling them to eat,” she says. “That's where we come in—we bridge that gap.”
Rachael, who lives in St. Louis with her husband, Jason, and sons Taytum and Landon, enjoys using her healthy cooking skills at home. “My boys also love to cook, and I love that I get to teach them the culinary skills they need for long-term health,” she says.

one stop shop WITH 111 MOTORCARS
While Middle Tennessee is filled with cars of every make and model, the industry itself often falls short when it comes to hospitality. For many, the process of buying, storing, or maintaining a vehicle feels impersonal and transactional. Noticing this gap, Jeremy Scates and his partners set out to reimagine what car ownership should feel like: rooted in community, trust, integrity, and a personal touch.
In 2024, they created 111 Motorcars, a concierge-style service that delivers a seamless, luxury car ownership experience unlike anything else. From classics to the latest models, 111 Motorcars ensures that every customer can enjoy the same elevated standard of care, the same ease of purchasing, and a focus on the joy and community automobiles can provide, no matter what they drive.
“My desire in creating 111 Motorcars is because I've taken care of hundreds of families and people over the years, and what they needed and what they wanted didn't exist,” Jeremy explains. “They wanted factory-trained, dealership-level talent and quality mechanics, but they didn't want the lack of service or miscommunication that they were

experiencing at a dealership. I reverse-engineered a need, going, ‘Hey, this is what our clients really want.’ They want a clubhouse, a single place where they can go for everything they need. Whether they need tires, an oil change, or to get another car for their wife or kid. Or if they need a place to store their car, or a place to congregate – we’re here.”
111 Motorcars – pronounced One Eleven Motorcars – is powered by a team of seasoned professionals with more than 300 years of combined experience in the automotive industry. Their expertise spans every make and model, with specialized knowledge in cars and the maintenance of both luxury and classic vehicles. 111 Motorcars is also the go-to destination for all things car sales. Whether it’s custom vehicle searches, consignment, or automotive brokering, their team has the expertise to track down exactly what you’re looking for. It’s the ideal place to bring every car in the family for anything and everything automotive.
One of their most prestigious distinctions is being home to the exclusive Italian brand Pagani of Nashville – proudly standing as the sixth and final Pagani dealership in the United States.
“We are a luxury experience, but we're an experience for everyone,” Jeremy points out. “Whether you have a Ford F-150, Toyota Camry, or even a Ferrari, it doesn't matter because in our service department, we have 17 different service bays and a facility to take care of all of them.”
However, the 111 Motorcars experience extends beyond routine maintenance; it’s merely the starting point. Their state-ofthe-art, climate-controlled storage facility was designed with charging capabilities to keep vehicles in peak condition and always ready for the road. Currently housing 90 cars, the facility has the capacity to accommodate up to 200 at any given time. Beyond storage, 111 Motorcars fosters community by hosting multiple automotive events every month, and in September, they expanded their experience with the launch of their exclusive automotive and social club – 111 Motorclub.
One of their most popular recurring events is Cars and Caffeine, held on the second Saturday of every month, which is a family-friendly showcase held at their impressive 75,000 sq. ft. facility in Franklin. Another community favorite is Stretch & Shift Yoga, blending wellness with the car culture they’ve created. 111 Motorcars’ space is versatile, capable of transforming to host a wide range of events. From high-energy car shows to intimate wine tastings, the space has even been used for weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate gatherings, and celebrations featuring food, live music, and more. Now, with the launch of 111 Motorclub, club members gain access to an entirely new level of exclusive experiences, events, and services, adding a Social Club to their extended garage.
111 Motorclub offers four membership tiers, each providing access to the customdesigned clubhouse, private events, exclusive discounts, and networking opportunities.
More than just perks, the club has created a space where car enthusiasts can truly connect and share their passion.
“We're making decisions on an everyminute basis to not only be a part of the community, but to help the community thrive, to take care of the community and all their families’ vehicles from a concierge manner in a hospitable way, but we're always going to look at the situation and basically round in the direction of the consumer, because they're our neighbors,” Jeremy says. “We are building something that's a part of the car community, but in large, we're building a part of just the community and the footprint we hold.”
111 Motorcars proves that you don’t need to be behind the wheel of a supercar to deserve a luxury car experience. Today, enthusiasts have more opportunities than ever to come together and share in the community that Jeremy has cultivated.
“If you think about the car business, whether it's service, sales, and everything in between, the word hospitality doesn't come up, people generally hate getting their cars serviced or having to purchase another one,” Jeremy says. “That's not what the industry is about, but that's the core of us. By doing what we do, we hope to change that approach. At 111, we aim to make such a large expense and important decision a seamless and blissful experience!“
111 Motorcars will be holding its oneyear anniversary celebration soon. To purchase your next vehicle, to schedule your next automotive service, repair, or maintenance, to store a car you need to protect or don't have room for, to host your next company or family special event, and find out more on 111 Motorclub or their events, visit their website or social media accounts.

Finding Home in Brentwood
HOW ALLISON ELLIS MADE BRENTWOOD HOME
I was 20 years old the first time I visited the City of Brentwood. A student at WKU, visiting family for the weekend, I still remember the drive down Franklin Road, seeing the stately homes and tree-lined stretches and knowing I had found my future home.
I’m originally from a small town called Barre, Vermont. I wanted a southern city lifestyle full of opportunity, paired with the comforts and connections that make a small town feel like home, like seeing the same friends at the baseball field year after year, or running into a neighbor at the grocery store.
“Brentwood is about community and creating a life you love - It’s the kind of place where neighbors become friends!”
Today, after more than 12 years as a real estate Broker in Brentwood + Nashville, one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work has been helping others make that same discovery. I love learning how they imagine their routines: mornings in the kitchen, commutes to the office (or home office), evenings on the porch, weekends filled with family and friends—and then finding the neighborhood that brings that vision to life. Whether that is luxury new construction or a 1990s home ready to be reimagined (hello Nancy Myers vibes!) I love seeing my clients thrive, making Brentwood their home.

Lenire is a bimodal neuromodulation device which has been shown to provide relief from tinnitus that can sustain for at least 12-months after treatment in largescale clinical trials. Lenire’s bimodal neuromodulation pairs mild electrical pulses to the tongue through an intra-oral component called the Tonguetip® with auditory stimulation through headphones. Lenire is the first and only FDA approved bimodal neuromodulation tinnitus treatment device. Lenire has been featured on CBS, NPR, Good Morning America and AARP.
How Lenire Works:
Lenire’s implementation of bimodal neuromodulation combines mild electrical stimulation to the tongue with sound stimulation. This pairing works to retrain neurons in the brain to reduce its attention and sensitivity to the tinnitus sound.
What makes Brentwood so special is the balance it strikes. For those moving from Nashville, it offers more space, in square footage or yard size, without losing the conveniences of city life. For newcomers relocating from across the country, it delivers a lifestyle that feels both elevated and deeply welcoming. Brentwood is about community and creating a life you love - It’s the kind of place where neighbors become friends!

Hickory Smoked Chicken Wings: They can’t keep these on the shelf, as these wings sell out almost every night. Their wings are smoked daily using hickory wood. They have multiple ways to enjoy them. Customers can choose between having them tossed in one of their many signature sauces or just dry rub. The choices to choose from are HoneyFire Original BBQ sauce, HoneyFire HEAT BBQ sauce, HoneyFire SWEET BBQ sauce (more like a competition BBQ sauce), Alabama White sauce, traditional Buffalo sauce, or stick with just the Honey Dry Rub. Owner’s pro tip: Order the dry rub and all the sauces on the side. It’s the best of all the worlds. Another favorite is the dry rub dipped in Alabama White sauce.

LEIPER’S FORK DISTILLERY’S HOUSE OF SPIRITS:
Locke’d n’ Loaded - A Spirited Signature:
At Leiper’s Fork Distillery’s House of Spirits, every cocktail tells a story, and Locke’d n’ Loaded might just be the boldest chapter yet. Built on the backbone of their Bottled in Bond Whiskey, this drink is a testament to Tennessee craftsmanship—smooth, complex, and unapologetically strong.
The velvety texture from hand-shaken egg whites melds seamlessly with their house sour mix, while Early’s Tennessee Clover Honey lends a soft, golden sweetness. Orange bitters bring a delicate bite, balanced by the deep richness of an Amarena cherry. Topped with a bruléed orange, this cocktail is more than a pour—it’s an experience. Served on the rocks, Locke’d n’ Loaded strikes that perfect balance between refinement and rugged charm, a true reflection of the spirit of Leiper’s Fork.

NEW YORK BUTCHER SHOPPE HAS OPENED IN BRENTWOOD WITH PREMIUM MEATS AND ENTREES AMONG OTHER TREATS
BEEF ABOUT IT
“Let’s have a butcher’s” is old English Cockney slang for “Let me have a look,” said in purpose for buyers to see what meats were fresh and available at their butcher shop. Now, in modern times,
“THE
The local locations are Green Hills, Clarksville, and the newly opened shop in Brentwood. The Brentwood store just opened this summer and is owned by Chris Brum and Matthew Kormylo
MOST EXCITING PART OF THIS JOURNEY IS BEING ABLE TO SERVICE SUCH AN AMAZING COMMUNITY,” SAID MATTHEW.
let’s have a look at the new specialty grocery store and butcher shop. The beef is that Brentwood has just opened a novel butcher shop, New York Butcher Shoppe. Located on 330 Franklin Road, you ought to stop in and select from the best quality of meats. They have anything from prime ribeye, prime New York strip, wagyu beef, ground beef, fresh seafood, poultry, and prepared sides like the twice-stuffed potatoes. Delicious.
Pastas, cheeses, soups like the orzo chicken, and ready-to-cook meals will elevate your dinners to something spectacular and mouthwatering. There are over 50 entrees, soups, salads, and groceries like olive oil, cookies, cobblers, and doggy treats.
The New York Butcher Shoppe has stores all across the US in South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, Arizona, and Tennessee.
Matthew, originally from Greenville, South Carolina, first started working at a New York Butcher Shoppe in Greenville while attending college, and Chris is formally trained as a butcher and has been one for ten years, previously working at Whole Foods.
Although never having been professionally trained as a butcher, Matthew had a craving for the industry and opened his first shop in Green Hills.
Upon meeting Chris, the two decided to look for a place in Brentwood since the demand was so great at the popular Green Hills setting. Now, we have a community hub available for the best meats you can find.
Products come from all over the world; it’s a global business. The wagyu is sourced from Japan, and the meat can come from anywhere from Costa Rica to Scotland.
The beef at this shop is a higher-grade and certified Angus beef or “CAB” adhering to strict quality standards. Sourced from 1,400 small farms across the US, you won’t find this quality in your grocery stores.
There are currently eight employees at the Brentwood location. All ready to answer any questions, make recommendations, or fulfill special requests. The customer service is top-notch, detailed, and friendly. Entering the shop, you will feel attended to. Stop in and see what you can find. The choices are unlimited and perfectly displayed, housing meats that are vibrant, juicy, deep red, marbled, and fatty, ready to be devoured.
Matthew’s favorite cut is the New York strip, but he, as well as his customers, also love the fresh salmon, one of the more popular picks.
Every Friday, there is a fish sign-up in which you can find out what seafood is fresh that week. Customers can get the first scoop of what will be available and can then plan their meals accordingly.
They have 1,000 returning customers and regulars. You will love their hospitality and caliber of products. You will find restaurant-quality meats and dinners that you can set on the table in no time. They're available only in stores, not online.
“The most exciting part of this journey is being able to service such an amazing community,” said Matthew.
