Rebecca Foreman admitted that she couldn’t imagine working without Lauren as part of the team. “It is a real pleasure to have Lauren as our apprentice at Red Ivie Hairdressing,” Rebecca said. “After relocating to Mount Gambier from Bordertown, Lauren has managed to balance all of her commitments both in work and personal life. Lauren always shows our clients empathy and respect and her attitude and work level always remain consistent. Her abilities and passion have been evident right from the start.” Ian Giles was a respected colleague and friend at Group Training Employment through

his role as operations manager. After his passing in 2009 GTE decided to pay tribute to Ian by offering an annual scholarship in his memory. The scholarship is open to all apprentices in our region and is made to financially assist an apprentice to complete their training in their chosen trade. GTE emphasise the importance of training young people entering in the work force and retaining those skills in the community. This helps businesses grow and provides a vital link in the chain of building skills in our region.
