COVID-19 REOPENING PLAN AMENDMENTS FOLLOWING APRIL 2021 NYS DOH GUIDANCE
This document describes the changes made to the Lycée Français de New York's (Lycée) Reopening Plan as filed with the NYS DOH on August 21, 2020. These changes, effective as of April 26, 2021 and valid until the end of the 2020-2021 school year, are made based on the new instructions released by NYS (NYS Interim Guidance) on April 10, 2021. 1. Reopening of School Facilities for In-person Instruction Instruction in the Primary School ● The campus of the Pre-School and Elementary School will be open from Monday to Thursday for four full days of in-person instruction each week. In addition, the Preschool welcomes students on Fridays for half-day in-person instruction. ● Classroom occupancy as follows: ○ 1st and 2nd grades, no changes: 10 students per pod seated 6-ft apart; ○ Kindergarten, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade: At each grade level, we are combining 2 pods for a total of 18 to 20 students per classroom, seated 3-ft apart when in class. ● In the Elementary School, Friday learning takes place entirely online and is reserved for special subjects, including art, music and science classes. Occasional assemblies and other activities also take place this day in both live and some pre-recorded sessions. ● The Lycée's optional fully online track for all primary school students continues through the remainder of the school year
