In sun-drenched Andalusia, near the Strait of Gibraltar, you’ll find Los Alcornocales Natural Park. It’s here, in this mountainous region of southern Spain, that Les vergers Boiron sources its kumquats. These small, oval-shaped citrus fruits are grown on a family-run farm that specializes in kumquats and harvested by hand between February and April.
SELECTION
Sourced from a single estate, the kumquats selected for our puree are guaranteed to be free from traces of pesticides – an essential criterion since the whole kumquat including the peel is utilized. The Nagami variety is selected due to its balanced acidity with sweet and bitter notes.

Les vergers Boiron is dedicated to preserving biodiversity by supporting producers’ efforts to continue growing unique varietals. There are very few farms dedicated to growing kumquats exclusively, and we are proud to support our partner in the cultivation of this unique fruit!
