Self-Care Training Bal says thank you for your heart of generosity. Leprosy left Bal with a clawed hand. After surgery, he’s now undergoing occupational therapy to restore much function to his hand and develop the skills he needs to finish school and cope with daily tasks. Thanks to you.

Occupational Therapy Ambika says thank you for your kindness towards people affected by leprosy Ambika sought help from many places before she was properly diagnosed with leprosy. Her hands, feet and eyes are already damaged. But thanks to people like you, she has begun leprosy treatment and is receiving care for her ulcers. Thank you!

Shaheen will shine in the material world... thanks to people like you! Unable to write or hold a pen, Shaheen was terrified when diagnosed with leprosy at 14. Now she sews dazzling dresses and precise protective face masks! In India, Shaheen is almost halfway through her vocational training course in dressmaking and tailoring, thanks to a scholarship from people like you! Once successfully completed, her qualification and skills will make Shaheen a prime candidate for the job in the clothing industry she’ll be applying for. She’ll be able to earn an independent income and help support her family.

Because of the compassion of people like you, she has been able to learn these skills and provide vital protection to her community. Although now cured of leprosy, Shaheen requires physiotherapy. This can continue while she studies at The Leprosy Mission‘s Vocational Training Centre (VTC). The generous hearts of people like you make this possible. Thank you!
