What began in 2008 as three industry experts meeting to discuss competitive strategy inside the study of Evadne Giannini, our founder’s home, now includes multiple teams composed of associates, working professionals, experts and consultants working both remotely and in-house at HospitalityGreen's main offices in upstate New York. The basis of HG’s philosophy is hospitality, providing services for our client not to them. Although each client is unique, the foundation for every engagement is based on our five fundamental core values: capacity building, empowerment, client precedence, tangible returns and sustainability. HG believes that the foundation for climate adaptation and resilience is built through individual commitments to a shared vision of sustainability for all. Starting with a facility assessment and the engagement of employees, HG develops a system for reaching sustainability goals within the organization. In 2013 HG began to redirect its attention to building regional capacity for eco-tourism. HG developed for the city of Santa Fe, New Mexico, a Green Concierge Certification for Santa Fe lodging and food service businesses. Since 2014, HG has envisioned and coordinated three regionally based eco-tourism conferences to enhance regional economic development. The conferences create a call to action by presenting new ideas and trends, establishing best practices and exchanging ideas to leverage collective knowledge to create a shared vision of eco-tourism.
