Intro

Le Klint is all about pleats... However... We are much more than that.

Most people know us as a classic lighting manufacturer that originates directly from the golden era of Danish design... and we are certainly aware of that. Based on our traditions and our folding and pleating DNA, we are today also a modern company that in addition to home lighting, we are now able to focus more towards the professional market.

The need for sustainable high quality products goes hand in hand with our strategy and the values we cherish at Le Klint.

We continue to produce beautiful lighting in Denmark, primarily at our own premises in Odense and also through strong national partners. We use high quality materials that are made to last and the majority of our lamps, can be repaired. We do not incorporate unnecessary technical gadgets inside our models since, unfortunately, they often have a limited lifespan. Instead, we focus on long lasting solutions with sustainable features, like replaceable light sources and multi-functional components.

We have a solid back catalogue of classics and we continuously develop new designs in collaboration with external designers. This year, as something new, we are launching... Le Klint Pro consisting of both classic and brand new designs targeted towards the project and contract markets, offering possibilities of colour and material variants plus custom made designs will also be possible to fulfil the need of both large and smaller projects.

For more information, or if you do not see a design in this collection that suits your requirements, you are always welcome to contact us directly by email: le-pro@leklint.dk or tel.+ 45 6618 1920 where my passionate team is ready to help with your specific projects.

Woodwork Works

We use wood in many of our designs, making use of the endless possibilities, especially from the colour differences and grain drawings which are beautiful natural references of what we can get from trees. Wood is used in many of our designs. The majority of our wooden materials are sourced from our Danish partners, primarily based in Jutland, Denmark and on the island of Fyn where our production facilities are located.

LE KLINT today

We consider it our responsibility at Le Klint to inspire and assist in making responsible choices. When it comes to sustainability, we do not simply focus on a single product or material, we take the whole process into consideration then strive to act as responsibly as possible. Another important factor, is a lamp’s lifespan after it has been sold. We want our lamps to have longevity and to be passed on to future generations, with the possibility of being, repaired if necessary.

Sustainable design

We do not follow fast trends but rather work to hit trends that are both timeless in their function, materials, colours and shapes. Often we are actually told that our lamps from the 40s, 50s and 60s still has a modern expression, making them easy to remain hanging in homes for many decades, where the next generation also gets the opportunity to appreciate their beauty due to the ingenuity of their classic and timeless design.

Made in Odense

We are proud that we have maintained production in Odense, since 1943 where the company began. We believe that both pleating and folding is very special techniques which is why we have decided to preserve handcrafting lamps and lampshades, way into the unforeseeable future. At Le Klint, it takes about a year to learn the technique then two-three years to master all models in our range. We stand by our decision that Le Klint is a “Made in Odense” company, and we will continue to be so.

Quality and Materials

In addition to producing designs with aesthetics in mind, it is important to us that the design is made of the best quality materials to last a lifetime. Your lamp can be serviced and repaired to last for the enjoyment of another generation. We believe that the longevity of a lamp, is an important part of the concept of sustainability.

We only use good, solid and honest materials, ideally sourced from local suppliers to reduce our carbon footprint while supporting local producers. We contract and commit to subcontractors that are based on a mutual respect for quality and social responsibility and we expect our collaborative partners to respect all environmental conscious guidelines including the handling of material waste and disposal, responsibly.

CUSTOM MADE

CUSTOM MADE

With our production facilities in Odense, we can tailor solutions and meet requirements for both product and deadlines. Our team has extensive experience in this field and they are happy to help realize your visions.
