LE KLINT HISTORY
The story of Le Klint dates back to the beginning of the 20 th Century when a hand pleated lampshade was folded to fit a paraffin lamp both designed by architect and master of engineering, P.V. Jensen Klint.
A team of friends and family members worked hard to refine this new shade and in return, received one as a gift of gratitude for their time. The Klint family handicraft became a real business in 1943, led by Tage Klint, who pioneered a new decisive detail to the lampshades, in the shape of an elastic collar.
LE KLINT is known throughout most parts of the world for its unique craftsmanship.

NEW DESIGN LK 80, MODEL 328
Frenchman Aurélien Barbry designed this new series, LK 80 - Model 328.
The lamps are made in light and smoked oak with brass details and are based on the classic Le Klint lamp with a handfolded pleated shade.
With a sophisticated construction, the series is simple, but with a little twist at the foot. The stand is attached to the foot using an elegant brass detail, which gives the design a strong contemporary look.

SUSTAINABILITY
At Le Klint, we believe that living sustainable is important in every aspect of life. As a lighting company, we see it as our responsibility to inspire concious choices. In terms of sustainability, many focus on a material or a product and forget the whole picture.
We believe that a long-life cycle for a product is an important part of the concept of sustainability. We have always worked with good and honest materials from our suppliers who are close to us.
We have always manufactured in Odense since 1943 and where necessary, we repair Le Klint lamps, so that they can continue to be enjoyed from generation to generations.

FACET

FACET is an iconic yet simple form for a new Le Klint pendant series in metal.
The lamp has a conical shape, where the light is directed in two different directions –upwards and downwards.

Our team of highly skilled technicians, collaborates diligently alongside innovative designers and architects to guarantee that your choice of lighting, regardless of the simplicities or intricacies of the materials used, for pendant, table or floor lamps are all perfected to the highest of standard.
This work ethic has gained us longevity and recognition as masters of our craft which has helped to accredit Le Klint, Purveyors of the Royal Danish Court.
SAX Anniversary Model

As a tribute to the unique and iconic SAX lamp, a special 70-year anniversary model has been developed in collaboration with the descendants of designer Erik Hansen.
All the fine details has been enhanced with brass fittings, braided linen cord, hand-pleated paper shade, untreated and smoked danish oak.

Model 105 has been in Le Klints collection since the beginning. March 2nd 2023 would have been the 125th birthday of architect Mogens Koch.
To mark this anniversary we have upgraded the pendants by introducing a new hang-up system and two new XL-versions of Model 105.

LE KLINT DNA
MODEL 1 MEGA
We have upscaled the iconic number one shade and made the Mega 1 versions. Everything is bigger – the pleats – side lengths and the diameter – making Mega 1 a perfect piece for BIG tables and anywhere else you have the space.
It can be a challenge to find the perfect lighting solution for spaces with low ceiling height or where the lamp should not take up much vertical space, such as bedrooms, receptions or hallways.
For many years, Le Klint has specialized in making the perfect ceiling lamps and they are a very popular part of our product range.
A new member joins the family
Model 23 is an entirely new version by Klint Design Team that ranges from 35 – 100 cm in diametre.

A brand new logistic center was erected in 2020 where the old production warehouses stood. We are now able to house a multitude of product ranges and collections, as well as wood and metal workshops for assembling lamps in a variety of materials.
