The System: Central Vacuum for flour, sugar and dust related to an industrial bakery.

The Challenges: The system required explosion protec�on for handling combus�ble dust, however, the system is indoors and not near an exterior wall so standard explosion ven�ng was not an op�on. The collected dust needed collected in their standard waste roll off hopper.

The site did not want confined space entry when doing filter changes.

Dust Reclaim: The discharge is a rotary airlock with NFPA tolerances to quality as an explosion isola�on device

The system uses two level sensors. One is below the airlock to indicate the hopper is full. A second level sensor in the upper hopper to indicate cri�cal overfill or if there is an airlock jam

The Legends Solu�on: The Legends RT filter was u�lized for the filters unit because it offered a topremoval filter change. A service ladder with a safety cage was included to access the top-hinged doors.

No confined space entry is required when changing the filters.

A second inlet was provided for future expansion to a new area of the plant.

Explosion Protec�on: The filter was built with a sidemounted explosion relief panel that was ducted to the exterior.

An explosion panel burst sensor was supplied to indicate if the panel should rupture to shut down the system and alert the facility.
