Leeds Grand Theatre Brochure August 2024

Page 1

Welcome to Leeds Grand Theatre

I am so thrilled to be joining Leeds Heritage Theatres as its new CEO.

I grew up in Leeds and have many fond memories of our venues: Leeds Grand Theatre, City Varieties Music Hall and Hyde Park Picture House. Each has a distinctive personality with the shared ambition to bring people together to entertain and educate. I feel privileged to be part of the future of such historic venues that mean so much to us, the people of Leeds and beyond.

As I start in my new role, I look forward to welcoming you to explore a wonderful array of the latest touring West End musicals and staged work; evenings with your favourite comedians; extraordinary productions by our resident companies Opera North and Northern Ballet; our Rock ‘n’ Roll Pantomime; the very best new independent films, documentaries and family-friendly movies; or as part of our extensive Learning & Engagement programme.

I do hope you’ll come and join us. The team and I can’t wait to see you.
