Students in a World History class should study the Russia and Ukraine war because of the involvement of the United States. The United States government gave Ukraine supplies like gun money and intelligence, which could make Russia more hostile to the US. We should study this in World History class in order writing would be important because it is about protesting. Which we've done before and this specific one is a way more important writing then the one we did before.The United States should not get involved in other people's wars.This war can also destabilize the nations in the region and can have an effect on the world and the conflict could be so bad that it would put the world in crisis.
People bring about political and social change by protesting. Currently people from around the world are protesting about the Russian invasion of Ukraine war.They are upset that Russia is invading Ukraine for no justifiable reason. Since the beginning of the war, there have been over 1800 demonstrations in 93 countries around the world with people who are protesting against the war and supporting ukraine. In Russia, many people are against the war and there have been over 150 demonstrations. Because peaceful protesting is not tolerated in russia Many have been put in jail. Hopefully all of these people speaking out will have a positive effect and end the war soon.
● The war started in February 2014 when Russia took over Crimea.
● InApril they seized Ukraine’s Donbas region.
● Over 14 ,000 people died in eastern ukraine over the next 7 years

In 2022 February 24th they launched another full scale war.
-Russian forces made significant gains in the first day of the war
- Ukraine defended Kyiv from being taken over by the Russians and also took back other major cities.

By 2023 Ukraine took back half of the territory that Russia took from them back in 2022 and it has stayed the same.
