"¡La Lucha Sigue!"
On this month's cover of Latino Lubbock Magazine, I combined lucha libre theme with the fact that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the ongoing battle to bring awareness to these topics. Also, this month's centerfold is a story on wrestling. I think you will enjoy it! As some may know, my mother Janie Castañeda was a breast cancer survivor. Sadly, she died from complications with cancer early this year. Nevertheless, she fought like a warrior till the end. I was very proud of how brave my mom was in her battle. Finally, we continue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month through October 15th!
