STRESS FREE HOLIDAY SUGGESTION
It’s that time of the year when families come together to celebrate the holiday season with lights, food, and laughter. The holidays are mainly about spending time making memories with those you love and enjoy, but it can be stressful for some. Statistics show that with the stresses of the holiday season, 69% of people feel stressed from lack of time, 69% feel stress from a lack of money, and 51% feel stress over the pressure of exchanging gifts.
Try living in gratitude this holiday season and learn to pay attention to the good things we might otherwise take for granted. Start your pursuit to becoming stress-free by keeping a gratitude journal. Keeping a gratitude journal opens us up to becoming more attuned to sources of pleasures around us which can shift the emotional tone of our life in profound ways.

You don’t need to be able to bend into a pretzel to do yoga. A common misconception is that if you are overweight or obese you will not be able to keep up, but this is not true. Yoga comes in different forms; each pose engages different muscles to build strength and flexibility. It can be modified to fit your needs, gradually helping you become more limber while improving your range of motion.
Yoga is more than poses. It emphasizes deep breathing, which can help with relaxation. Many people find that yoga helps them improve their concentration, mood and stress levels. Studies have also shown that yoga can help improve poor circulatory health and heart disease by lowering blood pressure and slowing heart rate. It provides benefits for those with asthma, arthritis, back pain and insomnia.
After bariatric surgery, it is essential to implement exercise. As with any other exercise, you should check with your weight loss surgeon before jumping in and spend time learning the basics to reduce your risk of injury. Due to yoga’s low impact and gentle nature, it is an excellent activity to try after bariatric surgery. What is great about yoga is that it can be performed slowly and steadily, allowing time to build up to new poses and enjoy the journey. Start your journey with arm circles.
ARM CIRCLES
• Arm circles can be done standing or sitting and just about anywhere
• Stand or sit with feet hip distance apart
• Maintain good posture
• Hold arms parallel to the floor at shoulder height with palms facing down and make small circles with the arms in one direction for 15 repetitions (clockwise)
• Pause with arms still up
• Next make small circles in the opposite direction for 15 repetitions (counter clockwise)
• Bring arms down and rest for 10 seconds
• The smaller the circles, the bigger the workout
• Repeat with palms facing up (15 reps forward/15 reps backwards)
• Continue repeating steps for 5 minutes, twice per day, five days per week to burn 100 calories per week
• Benefits of arm circles are:
• Increases blood circulation
• Reduces arm fat
• Tones muscles in the upper back, shoulders, biceps, and triceps
• Great as a warmup for upper body workouts

YOUR SUCCESS STORY
LVB B-12
Our bodies require essential vitamins and minerals daily to function properly. Vitamin B-12 is one of the building block of our bodies; without the proper amount, it can cause depression, disease, weight gain, fatigue, or severe health problems.
We get our vitamin B-12 from consuming meat, milk, cheese, eggs, poultry, and fish. Those who eat a vegetarian or vegan diet, have had bariatric surgery or may have health conditions that make them unable to absorb an adequate amount of B12 may experience vitamin B12 deficiency.
Vitamin B-12 intramuscular injections (IM) are a quick way to impact your B12 levels. The oral delivery method has always been common when we feel our body is lacking in something, but it is not the most effective way to give your body what it needs. It has to pass through the digestive system and metabolize before reaching your circulation. By utilizing the IM Injections methods, the digestive system is bypassed, and nutrients are delivered directly into the bloodstream providing a faster response, 100% absorption of all ingredients, and longer acting.
With Balanced Levels Of Vitamin B-12, We Can Experience The E ects Of:
Boosts Immune System Metabolism & Weight Loss
Vitamin B-12 gives a boost to our immune system. It aids in producing white blood cells that fight off infections and strengthen our immune system.
Improved Energy Levels & Concentration
B-12 is part of the production of red blood cells that transports oxygen throughout the body. It is the fuel that aids our cells in producing energy. It helps improve the feeling of being constantly lethargic even after a full night of sleep or the inability to concentrate.
Anemia can be caused by A deficiency of the B12. It affects the ability to convert fats and proteins into energy. It can make it difficult to lose weight. A balanced b-12 level allows your metabolism to burn calories faster.
Improve Sleep Patterns
Tryptophan is manufactured naturally in our body; it helps us fall asleep at night.
Vitamin B12 is a part of the production process of tryptophan.
Balanced B12 can help us go from restless to a good night's sleep.
Benefit Mood
Vitamin B12 is essential for your brain function. The brain is the control center of your moods. Chemicals released in your brain trigger neurons to send messages to communicate how you are feeling. Vitamin B12 deficiency causes our neurons to malfunction, which can lead to feelings of depression.
So, rejuvenate your health through Vitamin B-12 IM Injections Therapy, the fastest way to deliver vital nutrients. Discover how B-12 injections can bring immediate health benefits and elevate your energy, brain function, and wellness to help you feel and perform at your best.

PRODUCT HIGHLIGHT
IS THE PRE-OP DIET?”
This is the diet plan that you’ll be placed on one to two weeks before your surgery date depending upon your BMI status.
It consists of replacing two of your current meals with protein shakes and consuming one portioned meal that contains 3 to 4 ounces of a lean protein and 1 serving of a non-starchy vegetable.
It is important to select protein shakes that have at least 20 grams of protein, less than 5 grams of sugar, and a maximum of about 200 calories per 4 ounce serving.
Additionally, patients should also consume 64+ ounces of fluid, preferably water to ensure adequate hydration.
This diet plan is not designed to make your life miserable, rather it helps reduce the size of the liver so that your surgeon has more room in your body cavity to maneuver the robotic arms to complete your surgery.
In addition, it helps patients habituate to eating protein-rich foods first and being proactive about staying hydrated”.

Dr. Santo Dietitian Nutritionist
It’s the day before surgery and time to fast. A clear liquid diet is what’s on the menu. Although the clear liquid diet may not be stimulating, it does fulfill its purpose. It is designed to keep your stomach and intestines clear and reduce strain on the digestive system, while keeping the body hydrated. Surgical issues can occur if the diet is not followed as prescribed.
Clear liquids are things you can see through, easily digest, and leave no undigested residue in your intestinal tract. This includes:
• Plain water
• Fruit juices without pulp, such as grape juice, filtered apple juice, and cranberry juice
• Soup broth (bouillon or consommé)
• Clear sodas, such as ginger ale and Sprite
• Gelatin
• Popsicles that do not have bits of fruit, fruit pulp, or yogurt in them
• Tea or coffee with no cream or milk added
• Sports drinks that don’t have color
