I have really enjoyed writing this month’s article based on Y2K fashion has Y2K fashion it’s something I’ve always had an interesting and a style which I have a lot of in my wardrobe. I was definitely very influenced when this style reemerged in 2020 like many other people people which are apart of the GenZ generation and I was deafly most influenced on tiktok and Instagram so I have created this magazine to really highlight Y2K to help people remember the trend which re-emerged in 2020 Y2K fashion hasn’t left and won’t be leaving for a while but I want to refer back to the early 2000s Y2K eraandtheY2Keranow
If your looking for some Fashion, beauty and lifestyle inspiration, this issue of CRAZE magazine is theperfectplaceforyou.
I have really enjoyed this article and I hope you love it as much as I do. Bella Hadid is featured a lot in this article since she’s a very big inspiration to me but a clear inspiration and influence to many trends, her street style has had a major influence in the fashion world as well and her Y2K looks have really played intothat.

The Y2K was really popularized by the movie “The Matrix Reloaded” in 2003 and this was when the trend really started in the movie Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) was wearing a black metallic leather trench coat over a white shirt with dark pants.
The popularity of this fashion trend came back in 2000. The American clothing retailer Urban Outfitters collaborated with several designers introducing new collections inspired by the Y2K trend Urban Outfitters goal was to make it easy for customers to dress in the style of Y2K and they wanted people to be able to buy one piece of clothing that they could wear with different outfits so clothes wouldn't have to change often throughout the week or month and won’t look outdated
The Y2K trend is returning to the fashion industry through new designs, styles, and colours. Popular brands such as Forever 21 and H&M promoted this trend in 2016 with their spring/summer collections as well as Dolce & Gabbana, which has incorporated stretch fabrics in its Spring 2014 collection
This month’s issue is based fully on Y2K fashion and where I will be showing everything Y2K to fashion, makeup, skincare, music and general life The y2k trend, known as the “millennium bug fashion,” has been around for two decades and it made its comeback in 2020 so this Magazine will show everything Y2K from the 2000s and everything in the modern Y2K era as well.
There’s a lot of Nostalgia within Y2K and this plays a big role to play with the obsession of Y2K fashion with the Genz generation. Low-rise jeans, crop tops, velour tracksuits, and even off-shoulder dresses were incredibly popular during the 2000s and Y2K fashion and the GenZ generation are obsessed with these items
Y2K has a huge element built around DIY, and the GenZ generation is definitely the generation which enjoys recreating and re-building outfits the most. In the era we are living in fast fashion is norm the so we love it when people take the time to put together unique looks using items which they have already got at home or purchased second-hand. GenZers also appreciate the DIY nature of Y2K fashion as sustainability is a big growing issue that people especially the GenZ generation are trying to fight against sustainable brands are why to expensive for GenZers so that’s why recreating and reworking items has become incredibly popular.
Y2K fashion is unapologetically sexy and we are also living in a time where body positivity is finally being embraced in mainstream culture Your life shouldn’t be followed by society telling you to have to look a certain way to be considered beautiful so Y2K allows you to really show your body off to make you feel empowered and beautiful. Y2K fashion makes GenZers feel confident and when in a world that is constantly changing, it can be incredibly hard to keep up with the latest trends, but when wearing Y2K fashion, GenZers are able to relax and be themselves without having to worry about what is in style but its way were GenZers can experiment and express themselves individually. Y2K is a very convenient style since it consists of Loose-fitting clothes, stretchy fabrics, and soft materials which really reflects the early 2000s. Millennials and GenZers are always out and about so clothing doesn’t want to be the element which nocks your confidence because it’s uncomfy and unflattering.
There is no doubt that the obsession with Y2K fashion will continue among GenZers in the years to come as it’s simply too hard to resist with the combination of nostalgia, DIY aesthetics, comfort, and sex appeal. There will be other fashion trends which will likely capture the interest of others but we think that Y2K fashion will always hold a special place in the hearts of the GenZers
With Brows being a key makeup trend for 2023 and 2024, REFY will have a major part to play in the success of this trend. With the brand going viral in 2022 and there success just kept growing and growing from there with there best selling product being the brow sculpt catching the eyes of many on Tiktok.
"REFY has everybody asking about my makeup!"

The timeless tracksuits never left but they did make come back into fashion when the Y2K fashion trend re-emerged in 2020, Y2K is all about Nostalgia and these juicy couture tracksuits definitely hold a lot of Nostalgia with them being all the rage in the early 2000s and them being seen on people like Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Madonna, Beyoncé, and Kim Kardashian The brand was originally founded in 1997 by Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor and when the velour tracksuit became one of the biggest 2000s fashion trends, it was definitely what no one expected 2001 was an incredibly important year for the two designers as they wanted wider brand recognition so they sent custom tracksuits to celebrities to try get their brand image there and it work when people like Madonna and Madge were seen wearing the custom tracksuits
The iconic Juicy Couture tracksuit became Paris Hilton’s early 2000s uniform, it all started when she received a velour two-piece from her friend Lara Shriftman who was a former Juicy Couture publicist. Paris loved the set so much that she asked for the entire collection and soon had hundreds of tracksuits in every colour which had ever been seen. The brand soon became her uniform when she was seen wearing them on a night out whilst also wearing them to the airport and to chill at home. Paris was seen wearing the brand everywhere and encouraged people like Madonna, Beyoncé, and Kim Kardashian to start wearing the iconic sets.
With the comeback of juicy couture in 2020 they had Amy Gibson who is known as the lead in the design team at Beyonce’s Ivy Park to really brand the brand back into fashion The collection which Amy brought out was a more modern edge style with many asymmetrical pieces and a streetstyle vibe With the brand being the brand which created the velour tracksuit, Amy wanted to keep that athleisure look but Amy mainly wanted to re-establish the brand, she still wanted to target the customer which they had in the early 2000s but in a more grown-up sense to suit them but she also played into that athleisure side which would be attracted by the GenZ generation and while Amy has helped Juicy Couture has changed the way new fashion pieces are formed because being comfortable never goes out of style so through its signature logo juicy has transformed trends of cute & casual clothing into timeless staples lasting season after season

I’ve picked to get to know this runway look featured in Blumarine Spring 2022 Ready to Wear show as it’s an iconic Y2K look for Blumarine, spring 2022 Ready to Wear show was what really got Blumarine back on the maps since this show blue up on tiktok and was loved by so many among the GenZ generation The Y2K fashion trend reemerged in 2020 and when this Blumarine show hit the runway in 2022 all the Nostalgia from the Y2K era came flooding back, especially this look since the butterfly top featured in this look was since being worn in the 2000s by the likes of Mariah Carey but after it was seen runway in 2022 it was seen being worn by Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo, two huge influences among the GenZ generation

Baby one more time was released as a lead single and the single sold over 500,000 copies in its first day of being released it peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Not only was Britney’s music popular but also her outfits every look she put out there was always on point and she really embraced the Y2K trend with Mini Skirts, Low Rise Jeans, Juicy Couture and lots of Demin.

Their album which was released in 2001 Called Survivor but when they got back together in 2004 and realised their album Destiny Fulfilled it spawned the hits of Lose my breath and Soldier, so they were around in the peak of Y2K and this really reflects through there looks from that era. Along with Britney, destineys Child was the style icon of the 2000s within the music. They really played on the low-rise jeans and baby tees in the 2000s and there two of the key trends which have reemerged since 2020 when the y2k fashion trend re surfaced.
Glass Animals are a rock band which formed in Oxford, England.
Dave Bayley, the lead singer, primary songwriter and producer grew up entranced by pop culture, particularly the electric and eccentric hip-hop acts of the Y2K era, from the Neptunes and Dr Dre to Busta Rhymes.
The band is best known for their song heat waves which went viral on tiktok and first reached number 1 in Austria in February 2021, the have three albums Zaba, How to be a human being and Dreamland which all connect into that Y2K sound.

Coachella is a Valley Music and Arts Festival which is held in the desert in Palm Springs and was founded by Paul Tollett and Rick Van Santen in 1999.
Coachella has always been one of the main fashion events of the year and it’s full of celebrities and influencers. The festival runs on two weekends both are spread across 3 days and it has over 250,000 which attend every year so there are so many statement fashion looks which come from the festival. Some of the looks which come from the festival either look so slay or are just a flop.
Double Denim is a fashion trend which we saw a lot at Coachella, double denim was all the rage in the 2000s and this Y2K trend has made it back to being a very popular fashion trend today Jeans and jacket combo is also a big festival look since it’s effortless and easy to wear but what we saw a lot of at Coachella this year was Demin corset tops and lowrise mini skirts The denim trend has also continued onto shoes with with denim boots being very popular this year at Coachella. Double Demin can be worn out of festivals as well in everyday life and this can be a really key part to sustainablity as you will wear the outfits in everyday life instead off wearing the outfit once at the festival then never wearing the festival again
Cut-out tops have been immensely popular throughout 2022 and 2023 at festivals and even in everyday life, but a cutout top was a part of many Coachella outfits this year. Cutout tops are able to be dressed up and down but they can be dressed up to be made into a super extra outfit at festivals. To go really classic Y2K you can wear a bedazzled cut-out top to really play into that 2000s vibe and they are the perfect early 2000s festival accessory. Blumarine has there iconic butterfly cut out top which was seen a few times at Coachella but alternative cheaper options on places like Asos, Pretty Little Thing and Boohoo.
Statement belts have been one of the biggest Y2K 2000s trends in 2023 and it’s something we saw everywhere at Coachella. Statement belts have started to be used in many more ways than just being a belt and in very bizarre but cool and trendylooking ways, Miu Miu created a double belted skirt and diesel with their belt skirt which is literally just one big belt being used as a skirt.
Terry cloth was a staple in any early 2000s wardrobe as it was seen as a very fashionable and functional piece, its popular as it’s super comfy and breathable and perfect for a festival like Coachella where you are out at festival for the majority of the day since it’s in a desert and it’s extremely warm since you are in the direct sunlight so that’s why its breathable material is perfect for a hot sweaty festival Brands like Jaded London have been really big on this Terry cloth trend with there Towelling Romper being a best seller for them especially around festival season
Metallics were everything in the 2000s and even now there are not essentially the most Y2K element but definitely have a part to play in Y2K fashion. Many influencers were seen wearing metallics throughout tops, skirts, trousers and cowboy boots. Metallic pieces are a way to really level up your festival look and when Coachella is all about going over the top, levelling up your festival look with some metallics is the best way to make your Coachella outfit not boring.
Cowboy hats are the new essential at festivals and they were everywhere at Coachella and are perfect for the summertime. This latest trend started on tiktok when it became a thing to decorate them for fun with a friend but soon they made their way into the fashion after seeing people like Lil Nas X wear one for the Grammys and then becoming the essential at harry styles concert to play into that cowboy look with the feather boa, after these events, I can guarantee you will see a cowboy hat at any big event now and at Coachella they were all the rage and were seen everywhere and really completed any look which was seen at Coachella. There are so many cowboy hats on the market so you can ensure yourself that you are able to find a colour and style which will match your outfit, the iconic pink cowboy hat is what everything thinks about when you think of cowboy hats at a festival but there are many more than just the classic pink one, like straw, gem-encrusted ones, metallic ones, fringe face one and coloured ones which all have that cowboy aesthetic. Cowboy hats really coming into fashion this year proves that Y2K is leaving any time soon and the trend has been going strong for 3 years now and docents look like the trend is going anywhere.
Y2k fashion is one of this season ' s biggest trends, and Bella Hadid has been slaying the retro-meets-chic aesthetic in her own way. Y2K fashion has a forever amount of interest growing on social media surrounding with the majority of the style icons and influencers seem to be following the Y2K trend but Bella has definitely led the Y2K trend with her wardrobe consistently throwbacks or elements which link to the Y2K trend.
Retro sunglasses or tennis skirts- name a Y2k staple and Bella has slayed in it already. Bella has an impeccable sense of style and she breaks the internet in whatever she wears.
Bella is adding a lot of boldness to her nostalgic ensembles of the Y2K trend, Bella Hadid is all set to call the Y2K trend her own As she continues to embrace this throwback aesthetic further, we can already foresee her sporting rather controversial Y2k trends like thong jeans, dress-over-pants and babydoll dresses with ease. Because if there’s anyone on our radar who can pull off such experimental styles effortlessly,

"I LOOOVE the new formula! I was terrified to try one because of all the horrible reviews and opinions, but dare I say that I think this formula’s better than the OG? Upon first application, I thought the feel, the moisturization, and the scent were all amazing. I love that the new formula is not longer glorified, scented Vaseline and is now full of some great ingredients (shea butter! castor oil!). It’s been a few weeks since I bought Wild Fig, and I’ve bought several moreBirthday, Original, Berry, Lavender, Mango, and Coconut. I love them all equally and have been using them daily. So far I haven’t run into any issues with chapped lips - I think this is doing a good job combatting it. I can't recommend these enough."
Sydney W"Without all doubt the best lip balms ever, I bought them in 4 different types".
