CONTEXT

The culmination of past projects has guided me towards my envisioned final project—a styling business incorporating a monthly mini zine and a dedicated app called Little Detail by Lana Dales.

During my initial two months at the Fashion Retail Academy, I have emphasised my passion for communication. This inclination led me to create a mini zine focused on 90s fashion with a contemporary twist as one of my first projects here at the FRA. Subsequently, for my First Major Project, I curated an 80-90 page Y2K magazine, comprising detailed articles and advertisements, an endeavour that resonated with my skills and interests. This experience solidified my decision to pursue the styling and communications pathway for my Final Major Project this academic year.

My envisioned styling business endeavours to introduce innovative and affordable styling solutions through an AI-powered app and a monthly mini zine. By addressing issues of affordability and accessibility, the business seeks to democratise fashion styling, catering to a wider audience. The mini zine will cover trends and insights, aiming to make styling more inclusive and accessible to the Gen Z demographic through both digital and print mediums.
