Hi everyone, my name is Madison Liner, and I am the newly elected Lieutenant Governor for Division 7b of the LaMissTenn Key Club District. I have lived in Houma, Louisiana all my life, and I attend Vandebilt Catholic High School, where I will be a Senior for the 2017-2018 school year. One fun fact about me is that I started a ping pong club at my school this past year and had over 50 students join in the first week it was open to sign up! This year, I am most excited to meet so many new faces of students who share the same passion for Key Club as I do. Making a difference is one thing, but making a difference with others alongside you can bring you to new heights and experience new relationships. To me, Key Club is a way to give back and create a positive impact in the community, while also creating bonds with others who serve or are being served. My goal for the year is to help recharter clubs that have discontinued having Key Clubs at their schools, and for all students to have the opportunity to experience this kind of service. I hope to carry this out by spreading Key Club's mission and educating other schools about our organization. I hope to have a great year with the Mighty and Historic LaMissTenn District!

The 74th annual LaMissTenn District Convention celebrated another successful year of service in Jackson, MS. The theme was Wild for Service! There were over 450 students that attended the convention this year and they elected our new district executive board officers. Divisions finally got to display their new Lieutenant Governor. This year we raised over $26,000 for Project Eliminate! We had an amazing Keynote speaker, Mr. Walt Grayson, a newscaster. There were competitions such as Key Facts, Talent Show, Scrapbook, Key Club Video, Impromptu Essay, Oratorical, and Poster. There were many forums that students got to choose from, such as Service Projects, Dancing, Cool Science, Icebreakers, How to tie a tie, board games, watching lion king, sing-a-long, and public speaking just to name a few. Key Clubbers also had the opportunity to go swimming, work out, and dance at the street party. On the last day, the LaMissTenn District installed their new board and adjourned. We hoped you enjoyed it this year and we look forward to seeing you next year when we celebrate 75 years of service! By Ali Ali
