In der grossen Weite des Himalayas liegt die Neugier eines jungen Nomaden in der Ferne, jenseits des Horizonts.
Beruhend auf den Theorien von Ray Kurzweil und anderen Futuristen, ist «#PostModem» ein komödiantisches, satirisches Sci-fi-Pop-Musical. Die Geschichte erzählt von zwei Miami Girls und wie sie mit den Eigenheiten der modernen Technik umgehen, erzählt in Form von cineastischen Tweets.
«Dad’s Stick» thematisiert drei gebrauchte Objekte, welche mir mein Vater kurz vor seinem Tod zeigte. Zwei Gegenstände waren so von Geschichte eingenommen, dass die ursprüngliche Form und Funktionalität kaum mehr erkennbar war. Das dritte Objekt erschien sofort erkenntlich, verwandelte sich aber in etwas komplett anderes. «Dad’s Stick» features three well-used objects my father showed me shortly before he died. Two of these were so steeped in history that their original forms and functions were almost completely obscured. The third object seemed instantly recognisable, but turned out to be something else entirely. John Smith has made over forty film and video works that have been shown in galleries, cinemas and on television around the world and awarded major prizes at many international film festivals. His best known works include «The Girl Chewing Gum», «The Black Tower», «Blight», and the «Hotel Diaries» series. «Throwing Stones» from the Hotel Diaries Series was filmed during his stay in Winterthur as a guest of the festival at the Hotel Krone.

In the vastness of the Himalayas, a young nomad's curiosity lies beyond the horizon. Rodd completed a Bachelor of Film and Television with honours from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2010. His latest short «Tau Seru», had its world premiere at Cannes as part of Critics Week. Rodd is currently developing his first feature «A Handful of Sand».
A comedic, satirical, sci-fi pop musical based on the theories of Ray Kurzweil and other futurists, «#PostModem» is the story of two Miami girls and how they deal with technological singularity, as told through a series of cinematic tweets Mayer\Leyva consists of visual artist Jillian Mayer and playwright Lucas Leyva. Their collaborations include short films, art installations, music videos, experimental theatre works, interactive web projects, and commercials.
