We are Soccer Winterthur and football have been inextricably linked since 1896, the founding year of FC Winterthur, and the games at the Schützenwiese stadium are a regular and fix date for people from far beyond the city. But main focus is not necessarily the boys on the grass – enjoying a beer with friends and talking about all the world and his wife is just as important. Football is not just about a ball being chased by two teams with eleven players each. It is also about the 12th player, who identifies himself with body and soul with his club and has chosen football as his main purpose in life. Kurzfilmtage Winterthur is bringing the Schützenwiese experience to the festival and invites you to see a string of wonderful short films at the Libero Bar. From fans who cheer their club in near-ecstasy, via coaches who forget about everything else when their team plays, to players for whom life starts and ends with football: the short film programme «We Are Football» shows the entire spectrum of life with football.
