Life-wide Learning Days

The Life-wide Learning Programme of our school aims to provide precious opportunities for students to develop learning experiences that can only be provided in peculiar settings outside the school campus, instead of the usual contexts of classrooms or the school playground. We are most grateful that a range of activities, including seminars, workshops and community cultural tours, have been orderly arranged for enhancing students’ life-wide learning experience upon the resuming of on-campus classes, after that unexpected halt in students’ outdoor activities during the web-based schooling period in the pandemic. One of those exciting learning programmes to share must be the series of tours held on 30 July, 2022. All smartly dressed in their P.E. uniforms, our students were led by the Class Teachers and parent-helpers to visit the venues respectively designated for each particular class level and participate in the learning activities prepared. Below are the different venues our students visited that day.

Class Venue and learning target

Primary 1 Yau Ma Tei Market: The traditional trade of our city Primary 2 Sham Shui Po: Stories of grassroots Primary 3 Tsim Sha Tsui: Globalization Journey Primary 4 Tsuen Wan: Evolution and planning - from village to city Primary 5 Ping Shan: The history and tradition of walled villages in the New Territories Primary 6 Wan Chai: Heritage and conservation

The learning activities designed for the Life-wide Learning Days help students enhance skills and experience in collaborating with others as well as solving problems, apart from the knowledge obtained in the context concerned. It is hoped that they can benefit from a whole-person development and be well-equipped with skills for life-long learning. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the parent-helpers for their time, effort and support, joining hands to take nice care of our students during the guided tours or visits away from school.
