Guided by the motto of our school, “Thou art the light of the world”, we always mean to light up all through a Christian education. We hope that each of us can often serve others with gratitude. The theme underpinning the development of our school in 2022-2023 is “Be Grateful and Treasure What We Have, Stay Positive and Optimistic”. We mean to help students develop a positive mindset with a joyful heart, through which they can stretch their potential to the full and face challenges and difficulties met in the face of adversity. Under the guidance of the teachers, our students are invited to reflect upon their personal traits for realising a total of 24 different desirable qualities in their character profile. This year we make particular effort to help students learn to be thankful, whereas they are encouraged to put what they have been taught in their everyday life experience into practice. It is hoped that our students can learn to love others and the community as well as themselves. The framework underpinning the learning programme designed for students’ development and growth calls for their particular efforts to prosper their ties with God, the environment, others and themselves. Various learning activities are conducted for students, aiming to help them develop virtues and a positive mind of perseverance. We also intend to help enhance their skills in self-directed learning, the use of information technology and their communication with others. During the year, a range of inter-class and group-based activities will be conducted for students to learn to treasure, show concern for others and share thoughts with others, motivating them to learn and build up proper moral values through experience.

We are certain that a thankful heart is often the source of happiness. Those thankful ones will not be defeated by adversities as they regard difficulties as challenges in life. We thus mean to guide our students to learn to be thankful and lead a joyous life. It is just obviously significant to have a thankful heart.
