Lalin äiti lapsi klinikka tarvitsee vielä tukeasi

Vasta paikan päällä ymmärsin, että seutukunnan väestö on ottanut omakseen uudet, ensimmäiset PAIKALLISET NAISlääkärinsä

Vuosi sitten pakkasin matkalaukkua matkustaakseni Afganistaniin auttamaan ja rohkaisemaan lääkäri Kamilaa naisten ja lasten klinikassa, johon SKLS oli aloittanut varainkeräyksen. Kamila oli vuokrannut yhden huoneen työhön. "Tutkimusosasto" käsitti verholla eristetyn tilan, mihin mahtui juuri ja juuri tutkimuspöytä. Muu osa huonetta palveli enimmältään potilaitten odotustilana. Oli talvi ja KYLMÄ. Sana oli kiirinyt doktar Leenan saapumisesta, ja asiakkaita riitti. Uskoin kuitenkin, että heitä tulisi lähtemiseni jälkeenkin, ja niin on tapahtunut.

Koronaepidemia on Lalissakin sekoittanut elämää. Kamila ja myös Amina, sairaalassa työskentelevä naiskollega sairastivat COVID-19- taudin monien sukulaistensa kanssa. Aminan äiti menehtyi.

Kevään aikana Kamila on rakennuttanut oman, kaksikerroksisen savitalon klinikaksi, ja siihen myös synnytyshuoneen, minkä varustelussa SKLS:n keräys on ollut suureksi avuksi, niin myös ultraäänilaitteen hankkimisessa. Ultraäänilaite on ollut kovassa käytössä. Nyt Kamilan huolena on vielä saada vara-anturi, joka maksaa noin 2000 USD –tällä turvattaisiin kaikkien raskaana olevien ultraaminen.

Kulkiessani asunnon ja klinikan väliä basaarin läpi, päivittäin joku kujaa tallaava mies pysäytti minut kiittääkseen Suomesta saapuneesta avusta. Välitän näin heidän kiitoksensa! Mother and Children Clinic (MCC) report

The Mother and Children Clinic (MCC) started at first of December 2019. At the beginning Dr Leena, and me (Dr Kamila) worked together in small room. All the Ladies were informed that Dr Leena come again in Lal wa Sarjangle. In two first week the clinic was very busy, after Dr Leena went from Lal the client of Clinic decreased. After 2 weeks I purchased an Ultrasound, again when the ladies informed that there is a female doctored have Ultrasound Machine, the clients increased again. Many young ladies came to clinic for checking the status of their pregnancy and fetal sex.

At the beginning of MCC, with small room I had lots of difficulties. During cold weather, start of winter. My room was very cold with bad pipe system for its heater. I had two option no heater with cold room or heating with lots of smoke. A toilet that freeze in the winter and had no toilet for about 8 hours daily. I spend 3 three months with this situation.

I changed my room after three months, because it was very cold. The new room also do not have any toilets. In Lal bazaar all shopkeepers are men, they do not have toilet and using open deification.

We decide to make a building for MCC to have toilet, delivery room, PNC&ANC patient room, examination room, waiting room. Now I have all of them.

The MCC have good relationship with hospital, midwifery department and good communication with Amina. Especially after I and Amina were attended in one mental health course at hospital that held by IAM. After that course I helped with many patients that had mental problem. There was a young lady with body pain. Treated in many private pharmacies in Lal. In first visit I also think about pains. I searched many things like, rheumatoid arthritis, calcium deficiency, brucellosis, etc. As I get the mental health training, I focused on signs of mental health. And ask her if have stable sleep or not. Suddenly she answered no. So I found other signs and symptoms. Therefore, I try to find the roots of this problem. By getting history I found that she loved a boy but married with another person by force of her family. Finally, with many visits and talking about the problem. Now she is in better mental situation.

There was another 35 years old lady admitted with sever abdomen pain. She got Depo-Provera one month ago. She was admitted at hospital one week ago as UTI. I checked with Ultrasound machine and told her you have ectopic pregnancy. She does not accept and said “I used Depo-Provera”. I checked again, and I told I see something in your fallopian tube. After a positive pregnancy test, I was completely sure to have ectopic pregnancy. There was no surgeon in Lal hospital. I send her to Bamiyan. She was operated and now she is in good situation.

There were five delivery in MCC till now. The first one was a young lady with first pregnancy. She came to me in her 8th month of pregnancy with complain of pain. She was under prenatal care for one month and finally born her baby at MCC with episiotomy. After that she send four more ladies for delivery in MCC. As I asked, she was very happy and told her story to other ladies. And now I have more pregnant women under prenatal care.
