As our students commenced Year 12 at the beginning of 2020, we could never have imagined what was ahead. What a year it was, they made it and we could not be prouder.
Our students are so much more than an ATAR. They leave Korowa having achieved much more than a score. From their participation in the many co-curricular activities and service, to the leadership they have shown, particularly to our younger students and the community as a whole. These students have demonstrated great strength and resilience as they have navigated their final year of school through this pandemic. Not only have they been committed to their academic studies, the Class of 2020 have followed their passions. For some this has been in creative and performing arts, whilst for others it has been music, drama, sport, debating and so much more. Through lockdown they supported each other as well as contributing to many school and community service initiatives. They have demonstrated that they are young people of good character who have continued to volunteer and taken on causes they really care about to raise awareness where they have been able to. Korowa students want to make a real difference to the world they live in, they will be our future leaders. The graduates of 2020 are brave, respectful, honest, generous and kind. They are outstanding young people. They are Korowa! This year our Dux is Hilary Zhu who achieved an ATAR of 99.8. Congratulations to Lara Atkinson who has been selected to exhibit as part of Top Arts 2021. Congratulations to Laura Dowd who has been accepted into Top Class Drama 2021.
