BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION Bribery and corruption are not only against Konica Minolta’s values; they are illegal and can expose both the employee and Konica Minolta to fines and penalties, including imprisonment and reputational damage.

The anti-bribery provisions of the Foreign Corrupt Practice Act (FCPA) make it unlawful for all U.S. persons to make a corrupt payment to a foreign official. Although commercial bribery is not covered by the FCPA, prosecutors in the U.S. have a wide range of other tools at their disposal.

Commercial bribery (including commercial bribery overseas) can sometimes be prosecuted in the U.S. under other statutes, including, in particular, the Travel Act (18 U.S.C. § 1952). This prohibits the use of communication and travel facilities to commit U.S. state or federal crimes, including private commercial bribery affecting foreign commerce. This means that to invoke the Travel Act there must be, among other things, a connection to a state with an anti-bribery statute criminalizing commercial bribery. However, most states have enacted such laws and the U.S. government has been using the Travel Act more frequently in recent years, usually in conjunction with the FCPA, to prosecute companies and individuals for commercial corruption.

Offers of gifts and entertainment between Konica Minolta and its customers, suppliers and other business partners may be an acceptable part of doing business and a way to build goodwill.

Providing or accepting occasional meals, small logoed mementos and tickets to sporting and cultural events may be appropriate in certain circumstances. However, if offers of gifts and entertainment are frequent or of substantial value, they may create an actual or perceived conflict of interest. Konica Minolta has developed the Konica Minolta Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy to help employees make the right decisions when providing or accepting gifts or entertainment while employed by Konica Minolta. The Konica Minolta Code of Conduct and Employee Handbook also help guide employees when providing or accepting gifts or entertainment while conducting Konica Minolta business. Employees must exercise good judgment in accepting or providing gifts or entertainment and should talk to the Regional Compliance Coordinator when in doubt about whether to accept or provide a gift.

Throughout the month of November, Konica Minolta proudly partnered with the Movember Foundation in an effort to change the face of men’s health. Movember is a global movement dedicated to raising awareness surrounding men’s health — particularly prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health and suicide prevention.

A massive shoutout to all employees across the different offices and regions in North America who rallied behind such an important cause in showcasing their ‘staches or by staying active throughout the month and moving for men’s mental health.

Konica Minolta committed to donating $5,000 to the Movember Foundation and this commitment couldn’t be possible without the support and engagement from you! We are proud that we have achieved our committed donation goal this year!

GLOBALPerspective The 2023 Konica Minolta Transform Awards The Konica Minolta Awards seek to cultivate a culture of praise and a climate of taking on challenges by highlighting practices to be admired. All employees globally are encouraged to lead with a mindset of pursuing customer value and taking actions to accelerate transformation and contribute to the success of the business.

The Transform Awards recognize initiatives being carried out across Konica Minolta that achieve transformation.

The award categories include Bronze Award, Silver Award and the President’s Award.

For 2023, there were 85 Transform Award entries with 8 finalists chosen. Out of the 8 finalists, here were the winners for the 2023 Transform Award categories.

Production DX with Data Science Born from Failure and Empathy by Thoroughly Facing Reality

The IP Sales Promotion department achieved a dramatic 75% increase in print volume and customer engagement for a long-term partnership by proposing productivity improvements at the customer’s site through the integration of data and on-site intelligence.

The Production Management & Planning Department has worked with as many as 120 production field issues.

Based on the failures, insights and empathy gained from these activities, the team developed a way to fuse the capabilities of the production frontline with data science.

President’s Award Winner: Transformation in Chemical Plant Decision-making at chemical plant sites has traditionally been on hunches and knacks, increasing the burden on the site.

DEPLOYED AUTOMATIONS SINCE OUR LAST UPDATE RPA PROGRAM DASHBOARD (AS OF 11/27/2023)

RPA Program Updates Big Hit Order Entry Automation enters enters Big Hit Lease Orders into SAP via an approved template. This automation is the first part of a two-part delivery and has freed up over 3,600 hours for the Sales Administration team which will be used to continue to improve team response time of messages received in the DealerOps inbox.

DID YOU KNOW THAT KMBS’ IIM ORGANIZATION CONSULTS WITH CLIENTS TO BUILD RPA AUTOMATIONS? While our RPA (Robotic Process Automation) Center of Excellence, led by Jeff Berkowitz, automates internal operational processes, the Intelligent Information Management (IIM) organization has an RPA practice, led by Heather Maitre, that sells and delivers RPA solutions to external clients. What is amazing about this arrangement is that innovations that are achieved internally are used by IIM to sell to customers. Similarly, as IIM innovates with a variety of customers across industries, their breadth fuels the ideas and skills of our internal RPA COE. Together, these teams build one another’s skills and collective capability. In addition, they serve as flexible labor pools, sometimes internal COE members will work on an IIM engagement, which serves as an opportunity for us to self-fund. Similarly, when IIM has RPA resources on the bench, they build automations for KMBS internally. Working very closely together, these teams deliver optimal value to KMBS and our external clients. RPAToday Automation Spotlight Every month we will spotlight one of our deployed automations at KMBS. This spotlight will help you think about what could potentially be automated for your department so you can minimize manual tasks and increase your team’s productivity. Here is this month’s automation spotlight: AUTOMATION NAME: Proof of Delivery (POD) Fetch & Store CHALLENGE: The retrieval of POD documents necessary for sending booking packages to Leasing Partners to secure funding and coordinate successful returns was an arduous and time consuming manual process, involving querying the MKM Warehouse Scheduler for every POD one at a time and saving them to the repository.

SOLUTION: Automation was deployed to proactively scan for any POD documents being generated as items are delivered and saving them to the repository before anyone has even started to look for them.

BENEFIT: The automation enabled the following benefits for the Aftermarket team: • T he Aftermarket Lease Support & Hub team freed up 1,300 hours annually which enabled the team to complete the processing of more incoming lease booking packages within the same timeframe.

• T he automation ensures the documentation is readily available the instant it is needed and allows for quick access and easy bulk retrieval of many PODs simultaneously.

DEINews Step Forward Welcomes November Speaker Sara Potecha!

On Wednesday, November 8, Step Forward had the distinct honor of welcoming Sara Potecha, Speaker, Executive Coach and Leadership Consultant to host a discussion around the topic of “Failing Fast.”

Failure is a certainty for anyone striving to do or be more. Over 40 years ago, the United States Military Academy at West Point was both extraordinarily demanding and unwelcoming to women. As one of its first females to graduate, Sara Potecha had many opportunities to fail. However, when failing fast, she chose to get back up and try again. Through a series of stories describing her experiences, Sara was able to resonate with many employees during this event on how to navigate setbacks and disappointments. All in attendance were able to discover how to reframe their thoughts, embrace a growth mindset and reset your plan of attack.

About Sara Potecha As one of the first females to graduate from West Point, Sara served with distinction as an Army Officer leading a logistical unit of over 300 soldiers in Europe. Upon entering the corporate world, she held various roles in Fortune 100 and 200 companies. With her military leadership and a background in Change Management, Lean Six Sigma and Organization Development, Sara is now the President of her company, Sara Potecha, LLC. Sara has coached hundreds of senior leaders and taught on various topics including leadership, emotional intelligence, cultural transformation and veteran hiring and retention. Most recently, she developed a micro-learning leadership programfor a large hospital system with over 60 hospitals. After publishing her book, West Point Woman, in 2018, Sara now speaks at events across the country. A gifted orator, she captures her audiences through powerful and often hilarious personal stories while revealing essential leadership principles.

Sara holds a B.S. in General Engineering from the United States Military Academy and an M.A. in Organizational Management and Development from Fielding Graduate University. She is credentialed as a John Maxwell certified speaker, change management expert and executive coach.

Make it through the Holidays, Healthier!

You can still enjoy yourself and feel good come January.

The holidays and food go hand-in-hand. From weekend parties and office cookie swaps to family and friend get-togethers, it can feel like a never-ending smorgasbord of food, drinks, sweets and treats. Routines also get disrupted during the holidays, making it even more difficult to stick to a normal eating and exercising schedule. Not to mention, all this disruption and temptation goes on for weeks. But there are so many ways you can enjoy all the good times, and good food, without sabotaging your usual healthy habits. All it takes is a plan.

8. Get solid sleep. Late nights and over packed schedules can wreak havoc on your system. Don’t overbook your calendar, and try to get at least eight hours every night.

9. Don’t leave the house hungry. Eat a healthy, protein-rich snack before going to a party. And when you get there, check in with your hunger level instead of going straight for the food.

10. Skip the guilt trip. If you overdid it, don’t worry.

Make sure your next meal is a healthy one, and try to get some exercise in.

Try these 10 tips this holiday season: 1. Bring a healthy option. If you’re going to a party, make an appetizer or a side you know is good for you, and everyone there.

2. Get social. Try to spend more time talking to the people at the party versus grazing the food tables.

3. Fill up on fiber. Start with a plate of veggies and dip to help curb your appetite.

4. Dress to dine. Loose-fitting clothing makes it much easier to overeat. Wear clothes that fit well and will signal when you’ve had enough.

5. Think small. Choose a smaller plate and add your favorite food, then step away from the buffet table.

6. Pack snacks. If you’re driving a distance or flying to see family, pack healthy, protein-rich snacks that will keep you satisfied.

7. Make time to move. Your schedule may be packed, but dedicate time each day to be active in some way.

You’re sneezing, coughing, aching and tired. Having a cold or the flu is miserable! But you can treat the symptoms.

Cold symptoms tend to get worse over a few days. Flu symptoms are more severe than cold symptoms and come on faster. For either illness, it is important to rest and drink plenty of fluids to feel better.

Cold and flu viruses spread easily in the late fall and winter.

Wash your hands often to protect yourself from catching and spreading a cold or the flu. You can lower your risk of catching the flu by getting the flu vaccine every year. If you do catch a cold or the flu, try to stay away from others to avoid spreading the disease.

Therefore, it is crucial for each of us to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to protect not only ourselves, but the broader Konica Minolta community.

If you are not feeling well or exhibiting any symptoms of illness, you should make arrangements to stay at home to recover, and most importantly, to prevent the spread of illness to others. If your role permits and you feel well enough to do so, we encourage you to work from home during your recovery. Please be sure to communicate with your manager to discuss the possibility of remote work.

In cases where your health prevents you from working, you should use your allocated sick time to ensure that you receive the necessary rest and care you require. Our SICK LEAVE POLICY is designed to support you during such times, allowing you to focus on recuperation without the added stress of work commitments.

WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART OF THE TRANSITION? Learning new data skills and tools to keep up with the ever-growing demand for accurate analysis and reporting. The MIT business segment, along with all of KMBS, is in constant evolution. Keeping up with these changes while providing timely information to our internal organization customers has been both exciting and challenging.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST REWARDING PART OF THE TRANSITION? First, working and developing new relationships within my organization and with business teams I help to support has been amazing. I really believe the heart of KMBS is its people and it’s exciting to be a part of a diverse community working together to make our business grow and be successful. Second, having exposure to various business elements has helped me to greatly appreciate our business and how we work. I have grown so much over the past year — largely in part to having a bigger view of the ‘pie’ so to speak.

Last month in October, for Breast Cancer Awareness, Konica Minolta partnered with the John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center.

Throughout the entire month, employees across our Ramsey campus came together in collecting over 1,500 items to help patients through their treatments.

For the month of November, Konica Minolta partnered with Table to Table in an effort to help bring food to those in need this Thanksgiving. Throughout the month, employees across the Ramsey campus came together in collecting over 300+ food donations that will help feed over 100 families this holiday season!
