OBITUARIES Beane UxBRIDgE - Constance M. (Langelier) Beane, 88, formerly of Hecla St. died November 23rd after an illness. Her husband of 50 years William E. Beane Sr. died April 27, 1997. She is survived by 2 sons William E. Beane Jr. of Whitinsville, and Peter M. Beane of Putnam, CT; 6 daughters Constance M. Wiersma of Uxbridge, Eileen A. gresian of Douglas, Alice M. gillis of Uxbridge, Mary Jane Corral of Fontana, CA, Patricia Ordway of Uxbridge, and Karen S. Beane of Uxbridge; 18 grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren; a brother Roger Langelier of N. Smithfield, RI; 3 sisters Doris Bligh of Woonsocket, RI, Helen O' Brien and Janet Sweck both of N. Smithfield; and many nephews and nieces. She was sister of the late Normand Langelier who died earlier this month. Born in N. Smithfield, RI on January 7, 1923, she was the daughter of Henry & Alice (Brodeur) Langelier and lived in Uxbridge 60 years. Mrs. Beane was primarily a homemaker, caring for her husband and children over the years. She worked at general Electric in Ashland however, for 18 years, retiring in 1983 to Indiantown FL with her husband. There she enjoyed golfing with her husband and volunteering at her church. She was also an active longtime member of St. Mary's Church in Uxbridge. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and worked at the Rectory as a cook for the Priests. She loved the beach and swimming and being around family and friends.

Barry WORCESTER – Nancy S. Barry, 56, of Worcester died November 24th in St. Vincent’s Hospital, Worcester. Ms. Barry was the office manager for the former Spets Associates in Northbridge for many years. Ms. Barry was born June 18, 1955 in Northbridge the daughter of Amelia M. (Kaczowka) Barry of Uxbridge and the late Walter F. Barry. Nancy was a resident of Uxbridge for many years before moving to Worcester 4 years ago. She was a graduate of Uxbridge High School, Class of 1973. In addition to her mother, Nancy is survived by two daughters; Jennifer and her husband James Lesiak of Douglas and Tracy L. O’Rourke of Worcester; three brothers: Walter Barry Jr. of Amesbury, Michael Barry of New York, NY, Steven Barry of

Northbridge, two sisters: Sharon Barry of Washington, DC, Paula Barry of San Diego, CA., 2 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, James Barry.

Scorza

UxBRIDgE - Catherine M. (Havalotti) Cote, 87, formerly of N. Main St. died November 24th after a period of declining health. Her husband of 63 years Leo J. Cote died November 5, 2009. She is survived by two daughters Brenda M. Morrissette of Uxbridge with whom she lived, and Nancy E. Creighton of Warrensburg, MO; 6 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister Martha Racicot of Uxbridge; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a grandson Michael R. Morrissette who died November 28, 1996. Born in Uxbridge on March 4, 1924 she was the daughter of Pasquale and Elizabeth (Menard) Havalotti and lived here all her life. Mrs. Cote worked at the former Waucantuck Mill in Uxbridge for 46 years, retiring when she was 62. She was educated at the good Shepherd School in Linwood. A former member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, she enjoyed bingo, knitting, feeding the birds and sitting on the porch with her husband. Most of all however, she loved playing with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary's Church.

UxBRIDgE - Deborah A. (Porter) Scorza, 59, died November 26th at the Rose Monahan Hospice in Worcester after an illness. She is survived by her husband of 36 years Albert F. Scorza; 3 children Michael A. Scorza and his wife Akaila of Limington, ME, Matthew P. Scorza of Uxbridge, and Stacey A. Hubbard and her husband Paul of Bishop's Stortford England; 2 grandchildren Camden and Ainsley; 2 brothers Paul Porter of Randolph, MA and Robert Porter of Lakeland, FL; and several nephews and nieces. She also leaves Jo-Ann M. Rais, whom Deb served as a shared living provider in a foster program. Born in Boston on August 9, 1952 she was the daughter of Robert J. and Anne (O'Neil) Porter and lived in Uxbridge since 1985. Previously she lived in Franklin. Deborah worked at the Tancrell House in Uxbridge as a Nurse for the State of MA Dept. of Mental Health. There she met Jo-Ann and became her shared living provider, caregiver and friend. She had worked previously as a Nurses Aide for the Franklin Skilled Nursing Home. She was a graduate of Randolph High School, Aquinas Jr. College, and Assabet Valley's Nursing Program. Deb loved the beach, spending time at Cape Cod, and decorating her home. She was an excellent cook but family was everything to her. She especially loved her grandkids. She was a member of St. Mary's Church.

UxBRIDgE – Barbara V. (Reyes) Cruz, 80, of Uxbridge passed away November 26th at home. She was the wife of Israel Cruz, Sr. Mrs. Cruz was once employed at Beaumont Skilled Nursing Center, Northbridge and had previously worked at the former Emil Bernat Mill in Uxbridge. She loved her family dearly and possessed a quick wit and a tremendous sense of humor. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was born December 4, 1930 in guatemala, daughter of the late Roman and Delfina (Maldonado) Reyes. In addition to her husband Israel, she is survived by her children Alma Rodas, george Mogollon, Sylvester Mogollon, Mario Reyes, Erick Mogollon, and Israel Cruz, Jr.; a sister Aurelia Reyes; 18 grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

UxBRIDgE – Matthew R. Martin, 48, of Uxbridge, passed away November 27th in Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Maureen D. (grider) Martin who died in 2000. Mr. Martin was a skilled contract carpenter for many years and had also once worked at BJ’S Wholesale Club in Franklin as a manager. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following the Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins, and especially the Patriots. He was a loving and devoted father. He was born in Bangor, ME on April 12, 1963 the son of Joseph R. and Sally (Matheson) Martin both of Brewster and was a graduate of Bellingham High School in 1981. Novack HOPEDALE - Rodney J. Novack, 69, of Freedom St. died November 30th after an illness. He was husband of the late Eileen A. (Crossland) Novack. He is survived by a son Christopher J. Novack and his wife Sandra of Uxbridge; a daughter Kimberly A. Ober and her husband John of Mendon; 2 grandsons Bradley Novack and Nicholas Ober; 2 brothers Richard Novack of Mesa, AZ and Robert Novack and his wife Constance of Haines City, FL; a sister genevieve Patten and her husband Edward of Titusville, FL; 2 nieces Laurie NovackCollins of Franklin, MA and Cindy Novack of Woonsocket, RI; and many cousins and close friends. Born in Woonsocket on May 31, 1942 he was the son of Joseph and genevieve (Strycharz) Novack, was raised in Blackstone and lived in Hopedale over 40 years. Mr. Novack was a longtime selfemployed carpenter throughout the area. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be deeply missed for his sense of humor and big heart. He also enjoyed the outdoors and loved fishing. He was a former member of Nipmuc Rod and gun club.

Gniadek UxBRIDgE – Lucille R. (LeClaire) gniadek, 77, a lifelong resident of Uxbridge died December 2nd in the Beaumont Nursing Home Northbridge. She was the wife of John J. gniadek. Mrs. gniadek was born June 6, 1934 in Uxbridge, a daughter of the late William and Bertha (Labonte) LeClaire and was a graduate of Uxbridge High School. She had once been employed at Travelers Insurance in Worcester. Mr. & Mrs. gniadek observed their 52nd wedding anniversary on June 13, 2011. Lucille’s greatest love was her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and cooking and always provided a loving heart and unmatched generosity to those closest to her. She attended both St. Mary’s Church in Uxbridge and the good Shepherd Church in Linwood where she was a former member of the

In addition to her husband John, she is survived by three sons; Brian J. and his wife Jeanne gniadek of Northbridge, Jeffrey g. and his wife Lori gniadek of Douglas, and John g. and his wife Kathryn gniadek of Uxbridge. She is also survived by one brother Leo and his wife Barbara LeClaire of Medfield and 7 grandchildren including; Brianne, Nicholas, Jacob, Joseph, Connor, Drew and Brooke and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers; Ernest LeClaire and William LeClaire and one sister Anita Belanger. The family would like to thank the staff of the Beaumont Nursing/Hospice for their enduring compassion toward Lucille.

Barron UxBRIDgE - Maureen J. (Cronin) Barron, 51, of Henry St. died December 7th at home after an illness. She is survived by her husband of 21 years Raymond E. Barron Jr.; a son Raymond E. Barron III of Uxbridge; a daughter Emily E. Barron of Uxbridge; her mother Elizabeth A. "Betty" Cronin of Franklin; 2 brothers george Cronin of Franklin, and Kevin Cronin of Rochester, MA; and several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins. Born in Boston on February 10, 1960 she was daughter of the late Mortimer J. "Mo" Cronin, was raised in Franklin, and lived in Uxbridge 22 years. Maureen worked for Vendetti Motors as a school bus driver in Uxbridge for 12 years. She received Driver of the Year Award several years ago. Previously she worked as a receptionist for Caterpillar Co. in Milford and the Corning Class Co. in Medfield. She was a graduate of Franklin High School. She loved camping with her family and served as Activities Director for Holiday Acres Campground in N. Scituate RI. A member of the Whitinsville Community Center she enjoyed working out and also played softball for the Vendetti Motor's softball team. She loved her job driving the kids to school on Bus 3 and will be remembered as a great mother and wife. She was a member of St. Mary's Church.

Swanson LACONIA, NH - Etta May Langley Codwise Swanson, 90, of Court Street died at the Lakes Region general Hospital on December 4, 2011. Etta was born December 5, 1920 in Melrose, MA, the daughter of Arthur Franklin and Edith (Foote) Langley. Etta grew up in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School. Etta was a key punch operator for the Bank of Boston before she married her first husband Robert. She became a widow after only 3 years of marriage. Etta then used her key punch operator skills when she served her country in the U. S. Navy during WWII and she loved to tell stories of her adventures. Etta lived in Uxbridge over 30 years continued on next page
