Local Restaurants gain “re-opening” support from Rep. Soter Recently, Representative Soter visited over 25 businesses in the 8th Worcester district to promote the opening of the Commonwealth from COVID restrictions and in honor of Memorial Day. Representative Soter started his “reopening” tour early on Saturday, May 29th, going to 19 businesses over the course of 12 hours. At each business, Representative Soter went live on Facebook to promote the establishments. In recognition of it also being Memorial day week, Rep. Soter started each video by thanking those men and women who have risked their lives fighting for our country. Representative Soter also acknowledged the military for enacting operation warp speed, which allowed for the quick distribution of personal protective equipment and the rollout of the vaccine. At each stop along the tour, Representative Soter did his part to support the local businesses. For example, at Goodstuff Smokehouse, located in Blackstone, Representative Soter purchased a $50 gift certificate and a collection of signature sauces for the first person who called into the restaurant. The Representative promoted many of these giveaways throughout his reopening tour.
