obituaries____________________________ Jean Rorstrom Trifero, 93 Georgia Mae (Dearborn) Bracken, 84 Jean Rorstrom Georgia Mae (Dearborn) Bracken, 84, of uxbridge passed away March 27th, at the Lydia Taft House, uxbridge. With her faith well-placed in Jesus Christ, she was immediately welcomed to the peace and joy of her eternal rest in heaven. She was the wife of the late Warner T. Bracken who died in 2009. Mrs. Bracken had worked as the bookkeeper for Straight Ahead Ministries in Worcester for thirteen years before retiring. She had previously worked as an executive secretary for many years with Zayre Corp. at their corporate headquarters in Framingham. She was born October 21st, 1935 in Framingham, the daughter of the late Roland T. and Charlotte W. (Bussell) Dearborn. She attended Ashland and Hopkinton schools, and was a graduate of Wayland High School, class of 1953. Georgia Mae was gifted in many crafts, producing beautiful work in whatever she put her hands to, from painting to quilling, to producing bread dough roses. She made cut-and-pierce lampshades, or made them from old woolen blankets. Some items she sold in craft fairs or consignment shops, but many she gave liberally away as gifts to family and friends. She crocheted afghans or sewed quilts for her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Even in the last year before entering Lydia Taft House in January, 2019, she sewed dozens of pillow cases that were sent to an orphanage in ukraine. Georgia Mae had a loving and generous heart! Georgia loved Hawaii, where she lived for seven years. And she loved nature, especially bird-watching, keeping a careful eye out for her favorite cardinals. But more than anything, she
dearly loved her family. Georgia Mae is survived by her three sons, David R. Claggett of Seattle, WA, Robert N. Claggett of Lacrosse, WI and Rev. Lance N. Claggett of uxbridge; two step-children, David Bracken of Atlanta, GA and Nancy Wallgren of Chicago, IL; 14 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a step-daughter, Janis Edmunds, and a sister, Barbara Ann Dudley.
Kenneth J. Guertin, 89 Kenneth J. Guertin, 89, formerly of Mendon Rd. passed away peacefully on April 20th, at St. Camillus Health Center where he had been a resident the past two and a half years. His beloved wife of 46 years Patricia A. “Trish” (Paquette) Guertin died January 22nd, 2001. He is survived by his 4 children Deborah E. and her husband Thomas Couch of Lebanon, CT, Walter L. and his wife Sharon Guertin of Attleboro, Michael J. and his wife Colleen Guertin of Northbridge, and Joseph E. Guertin of Northbridge; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends. Born in Milford on July 22nd, 1930 he was the son of Walter and Rosealma (Henault) Guertin, was raised in N. uxbridge and lived in Northbridge most of his life. Mr. Guertin was educated at the Good Shepherd School, uxbridge H.S. and the Colorado School of Trades where
Trifero Age 93, of Nantucket & formally of Natick passed away peacefully on April 10, 2020, at Beaumont Nursing Home, in Northbridge. Born on October 16, 1926 in Northampton, MA to Hans Rorstrom and Katherine Mayo Rorstrom, Jean was a loving sister to her brother Eric Rorstrom, and to the late Virginia “Ginny” Boyd, Bar-
he learned gun smithing. He worked at the former Whitin Machine Works starting as a Apprentice Machinist eventually becoming President of Local 3654 AFL-CIO of united Steelworkers of America. He also worked as VP for Worcester Labor Council, and as a job counselor at the Worcester City Manager’s Office. He was a u.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict in the Artillery Division. He also served in the Army Air Corps. A member of the Oliver Ashton Post American Legion, the uxbridge Progressive Club, the Northbridge Democratic Town Committee, Knight of Columbus Council 365, Troop 24 BSA in N. uxbridge, the Good Shepherd Men’s Club, and was a life member of the NRA. He served on the Board of Directors at the Northbridge COA. He was an avid outdoorsman hunting, fishing, and raising hunting dogs. He was a boxing instructor at the Whitin Community Center. A skilled gun smith, he owned and operated West River Gun Repair. Ken truly cared about others. He had great people skills, treated everyone well, was happy with a great sense of humor. He was patient and took pride in everything he did. He will be missed.

Trifero or “Jack” as she called him, Jean never remarried, however she is survived by her son Richard Trifero and his wife Margarette of Paxton, daughter Kathleen Trifero of Chatham, son William Trifero and his wife Mary of Holliston, daughter Ellen Trifero of Nantucket, and daughter Elizabeth Trifero Clark of Northbridge. She is predeceased by her two eldest children, John Trifero, formally of Ashland and Laura Trifero Gail, formally of Holland, PA. Jean leaves behind many memories she shared with
her 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, like the many stories of her favorite horse Cheerio, her work at Eastern Airlines, her time spent at the “Guest House,” as well as the many faces she met helping at the Information Bureau on her beloved Nantucket Island, where she was well known for her generous smile and outgoing personality for the past 40 years There will be no funeral or services at this time. Elaine L. (McNeil) Moran, 93
3rd, 1926 she was the daughter of Charles C. and Eva (Cournoyer) McNeil and lived in Northbridge her entire life. She was a graduate of Sainte Anne’s Academy in 1943 in Marlboro, MA. She spent many years working as a clerk at Village Drugs in Northbridge until it closed. She then worked as a clerk for Finn’s Pharmacy in South Grafton and in the cafeteria at Bancroft School in Worcester. Elaine was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Catholic Parish in Northbridge where she taught CCD for many years. She also participated on several committees supporting her parish. She was an avid seamstress and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Elaine and her husband Bill spent many enjoyable years traveling up and down the east coast in their travel trailer. They took their longtime dream cross country trip in the spring of 1989. In their later years they wintered in Leesburg, Florida making many friends along the way. The family especially wants to thank Betty Wadsworth for being by her side as well as the entire first floor staff at Beaumont for their compassion and care during her last 2 years.
Elaine L. (McNeil) Moran, 93, passed away peacefully on April 20th, at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Northbridge after battling dementia coupled with complications of COVID-19. Her husband of 67 years, William H. Moran, died in July 2014. She is survived by her 5 daughters: Kathleen M. Roy of Whitinsville, Margaret M. and her husband James Conlee of Bluffton, S.C., Dorothy A. Lash of Whitinsville, Judith A. McNeil of Providence, R.I. and Franceen C. and her husband Mark M. Pendergast of Millbury. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Vivian Lapointe and her husband Ed, Anita Labrie and her husband Wilfred, her brothers Neil and his wife Helen (Moran) and Walter and his wife Jeanne (Lussier).
