Klein ISD celebrated its annual Career and Technical Education (CTE) signing day, recognizing 1,160 students across all five high schools for their achievements Together, these students earned an impressive total of 4,271 certifications, highlighting their commitment to excellence in CTE programs
There are 54 programs offered through CTE, including eight college bound programs. All CTE programs extend core academics with a rigorous and relevant curriculum to help students discover their purpose for post-secondary readiness The district’s options span a variety of industries for students to choose from; whether a student is interested in Cyber Security or Animation, there is a program for them. These choices allow students to test for and earn industry-based certifications for college and workforce readiness

The first-ever Klein ISD Elementary Honor Choir with select students from all elementary schools across the district consisting of 135 students, performed and was conducted by Kleb Intermediate Choir Director, Kelly McDonald
Klein ISD’s first dual language immersion cohorts completed elementary school with high school credit earned Brill, Klenk, and Zwink Elementary 5th-grade dual language students met the state’s rigorous criteria to qualify for high school credit in Spanish.

Klein Forest Band Director Jesse Espinosa was selected as the Houston-area educator recognized alongside the State Teachers of the Year as part of the College Football Playoff Foundation’s Extra Yards for Teachers event at the National Championship Game
124 Klein ISD students were recognized as National Scholastic Art and Writing Award Winners. Klein ISD earned 39 Gold Key Winners from 12 schools and 85 Silver Key Winners from 13 schools.
Klein ISD received a total of 17 Tommy Tune Awards Students and teachers from Klein High, Klein Forest, Klein Collins, and Klein Cain were honored across the Greater Houston area

Fox Elementary is the ONLY school in Texas this year to receive the prestigious honor of being recognized by the Texas STEM Coalition for high-quality STEM education.
Former Fox Elementary STEAM specialist and current Northampton AP Ms Lisa Mackey spearheaded the application process for the recognition. Fox staff have dedicated countless hours and resources to ensure they meet the standard of a STEM school

Klein Cain Varsity football player and Washington University commit Abhinav Potluri was named the 2024 Houston Touchdown Club Scholar Athlete award recipient Abhinav, a stellar athlete, outstanding scholar, and an All-District football player, ranked number 14 in his senior class. Abhinav plans to continue playing football and earning a dual degree in Computer Engineering and Finance.
AP German student Miguel Martinez won the CongressBundestag Youth Exchange Scholarship - This 100% funded scholarship allows the student to live in Germany for the 20242025 school year to advance his language and education. Miguel has been learning German in Klein ISD since 7th grade at Ulrich Intermediate and will return to Klein Cain for his senior year after this amazing experience

The Krimmel Full Orchestra secured a coveted spot ranking within the top six ensembles of the prestigious Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Honor Orchestra Competition.
The TMEA Honor Orchestra competition is noted as one of the most prestigious competitions in the country Krimmel was one of six groups to advance to the final round, where they competed and were judged by a five-member panel that ranked the Krimmel orchestra second in the state.
Klein Collins High School is thrilled to announce that its Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) unit has achieved a remarkable “Exceeds Standards” rating in the formal Unit Evaluation This exceptional rating, a testament to the unit's dedication and excellence, sets Klein Collins High apart in the AFJROTC community
The Klein ISD Board of Trustees adopted a tax rate of $1.03 at the October 2023 Board of Trustees meeting. This tax rate was the lowest in 31 years, decreasing 20 cents from 2022. Homestead taxes are frozen for citizens with exemptions for those who are over 65 or disabled persons unless the citizen is currently paying below their tax ceiling
Klein, Texas – Klein ISD is proud to announce that our district and several of our schools have been named to the Educational Results Partnership (ERP) Honor Roll.
This prestigious recognition, presented in collaboration with the Texas Business Leadership Council (TBLC), highlights districts and schools that have excelled in closing achievement gaps and elevating student success, particularly among historically underserved student populations.
The ERP Honor Roll is the only school recognition program in Texas based solely on objective measures of student achievement
The program identifies schools that have consistently demonstrated high levels of academic performance, improvement over time, and success in closing achievement gaps among student populations.
This recognition is part of a broader national effort to highlight educational excellence and promote best practices across the country
