June 2021 Art Retreat Policies and Fees

Art Retreat Policies 1) I am pleased to be able to offer this art retreat as a time for rest and spiritual renewal for participants. I will provide the art supplies for you to freely use and enjoy at no cost. There is also no fee for my time and expertise.

2) As you are aware, Thailand has implemented pandemic recommendations and restrictions in an effort to support public health efforts. In light of this, please kindly make every effort to wear a mask and practice social distancing during the retreat as there will be participants coming from other provinces.

Participants who are coming from a province that is designated as a "red" zone are required to quarantine for two weeks upon entering Chiang Mai Province before attending the retreat. Please note that the pandemic status of any province may change at any time without prior warning. If your province is re-designated as a red zone at any time before the retreat starts, it is possible that you may have to forfeit your spot at the retreat if you can't complete the quarantine period in time☹. If this occurs, I will return your full payment, and personally assume any hotel-related costs that are incurred. It is important that we all take precautions to show love and respect for one another's health and well-being. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

3) This retreat is for adults (or mature teens) to have an opportunity for spiritual growth, reflection, prayer, and exploring creative expressive. The activities are not designed for the unique developmental needs of children.

Also, I cannot ensure the safety of children in the art room. Therefore, children under 15 will not be permitted to enter the art room. If you plan to come with a child, you must bring someone to provide childcare at all times and spend time with your child outside the art room.

4) The cost of the retreat is 2,800 Baht per person for the weekend, for a shared room. Should you wish to room alone, the fee will be 4,800 Baht for the weekend. You are expected to pay for the full weekend, even if you come for just one night (unless you arrange with a friend to take your place on the second night). If you come for Saturday only, the fee is 800 Baht per day. Full payment is required in advance of the retreat. If you do not make your payment within two weeks before the retreat starts, you could lose your retreat slot to someone on the waiting list. You may cancel up to 7 days prior to the retreat for a full refund. No refund will be given for cancellation within 6 days of the retreat (except for reasons related to the COVID-19 pandemic).

If these fees make it prohibitive for you to attend but you feel in need of this kind of spiritual renewal, please contact me directly to discuss the possibility of scholarship funding to cover half of the costs of your housing+meeting

room expenses. It is a high value for me to try to make this experience financially accessible for those who wish to attend.

5) The art retreat starts with dinner on Friday at 5:30pm at the Club Cafe. You may check in at Traidhos Residence (on the campus of PREM International School) any time after 2pm. Feel free to enjoy the pool in the afternoon. Please kindly make every effort to arrive on time so that we can enjoy a meal together and get to know one another. Art activities will take place in the Village 1 meeting room.

6) Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday is included with the cost of your room. Other meals are NOT included with the retreat fees. The Club Cafeteria will be open if you want to order and pay for your meals there. Please order each meal early because the cafeteria is small and it can take a long time for them to serve.

Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own meals. There are small refrigerators in the rooms, but no microwave.

7) Please bring snacks to share with the group.

8) The retreat will be limited to 10 participants. Limited registration allows me to give personal, individualized attention to each participant and maintain an acceptable level of personal distancing.
