Policies and Fees 2024
1) I am pleased to be able to offer this creative arts retreat as a time for personal development for participants. Please note that the format of this retreat will NOT be an open art studio, (as is the case with my regular art and prayer retreats). In this highly interactive retreat, participants will progress through a series of directed creative arts experiences designed to promote stress relief, attunement with self and others, and creative expression. Participants may engage in visual art, music, movement, poetry, guided imagery, and/or theater games. All supplies and handouts will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.
2) If you are experiencing symptoms that could be attributable to a communicable disease such as COVID-19 or RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) during the days before the retreat, please kindly protect others by not attending the retreat. If this occurs, I will return your full payment, and personally assume the cost of your portion of your shared room at the retreat (so that your roommate does not have to pay extra for a single). I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
3) This retreat is designed for adults (or mature teens). The activities are not designed for the unique developmental needs of children. Children under 15 will not be permitted to enter the meeting space. If you plan to come with a child, you must bring someone to provide childcare at all times and spend time with your child outside the meeting space.
4) The cost of the retreat is 3,300 Baht per person for the weekend, for a shared room. Should you wish to room alone, the fee will be 5,300 Baht for a single room for the weekend. Full payment is required in advance of the retreat. If you do not make your payment within two weeks before the retreat starts, you could lose your retreat slot to someone on the waiting list. You may cancel up to 7 days prior to the retreat for a full refund. No refund will be given for cancellation within 6 days of the retreat (except for public health reasons - see point 2 above). If these fees make it prohibitive for you to attend but you feel in need of this kind of personall renewal, please contact me directly to discuss the possibility of scholarship funding to cover half of the costs of your expenses. It is a high value for me to try to make this experience financially accessible for those who wish to attend.
Please kindly deposit your payment for the retreat to the following account by April 26:
Siam Commercial Bank - Tha Phae Branch
501-416-219-5
Catherine L Ripley
Please notify me via email or text message when you have made the transfer of funds, and bring the receipt with you to the retreat as your proof of payment.
5) The art retreat starts with dinner on Friday at 5:30pm at the Club Cafe. You may check in at Traidhos Residence (on the campus of PREM International School) any time after 2pm on Friday. Feel free to enjoy the Traidhos pool in the afternoon. Please kindly make every effort to arrive on time so that we can enjoy a meal together and get to know one another. Art activities will take place in the Village 1 meeting room.
6) Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday is included with the cost of your room. Other meals are NOT included with the retreat fees. The Club Cafeteria will be open if you want to order and pay for your meals there. Please order each meal early because the cafeteria is small and it can take a long time for them to serve. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own meals. There are small refrigerators in the rooms, but no microwave.
7) Please bring snacks to share with the group.
8) The retreat will be limited to 12 participants. Limited registration allows me to give personal, individualized attention to each participant.
