Chair's Welcome Steve Harris welcomed members to the meeting. Minutes of previous meeting Minutes of the meeting held on Thursday 25th March 2013 were agreed as a true record of proceedings. Declarations of interest Simon Dawson indicated that he had a non-pecuniary interest in the Vesper Terrace bid in that he was likely to be participating in as a volunteer on the project. Area Plan and Local Priorities The chair reported plan and priorities had been approved by the CDF. The Facebook page had been update to include details on the panel, minutes, plan and grants approved. Monitoring and Outcomes: The latest information on allocations had been circulated, it was noted that there were still some unclaimed grants: •

Kirkstall in Bloom – This was known about and due to difficulties is in getting permission from Leeds City Council (highways) for planters at the Kirkstall lights crossroad due to safety concerns. The Cenotaph was being looked at as an alternative location.

Friends of Holly Bush – This was in progress, there had been an early delay due to a mistyped email address.

Burley Mills Allotment Association – Steve Harris to chase.

Station Allotments Association

There was still a void in feedback coming back to the panel from organisations grants had been awarded to – organisations to be contacted and asked to provide feedback. Grant Decisions Kirkstall In Bloom - £ 621 Make you own Hanging Basket activity at Kirkstall Festival. It was felt this was a good way to promote ways to improve the visual appearance of the area. Approved

Vesper Terrace Residents - £ 1108 Painting of fence at the end of the road, up lift each bin yard by having new washing lines and plants, and create a communal seating area. It was felt this would provide a good aesthetic appearance to the street and encourage residents of other streets. - Approved Leeds Community Wood Recycling - £ ? Collect and recycle wood for use rather than landfill and woodchip. Engage in working with local people to gain skills in working and re-using wood. It was felt there was far too little information about the financial plan and matched funding to process this application at this time. It was understood that Stephen Rennie was in touch with the group and could offer help in producing a proper bid. They should be encouraged to re-apply. – Not Approved.
