Five-star fashion and dining with Christmas in Killarney IT WAS a real highlight for the fashion pack and the style extravaganza that was the Christmas in Killarney designer event took the catwalk by storm last night. Now in its sixth year, the chic show took place in the five-star Europe Hotel & Resort. It was ably hosted by the Norma O’Donoghue Model Agency in the stunning Panoramic Restaurant at the award-winning Europe Hotel with the beautiful lakes and mountains of Killarney acting as a stunning backdrop. On arrival guests and enjoyed champagne and canapés while being treated to some festive songs by well-known pianist Jack Patrick Healy. Following this, guests enjoyed a sumptuous meal with wine. After dinner the Parisian-style fashion show began, with the wonderfully talented Helen Cody opening the show. Also showcasing on the night were Marion Murphy Cooney, Claire Garvey, Tina Griffin, Carol Kennelly, Charlotte and Jane, Rebekah Wall, Cathy Troth, Clodagh Irwin Owens, Mac Bee’s, Phoenix V, Jasmine, Kerry’s Boutique and Niamh O’Neill, Liz Quinn and Fee G from the Kilkenny stores. "The designers showcasing this year are some of the very best in the country and I was thrilled they all wanted to take part in what has become one of the top fashion events of the season," said Norma. On the night each lady went home with an enviable goody bag worth €50. The prize for best-dressed lady was sponsored by Keanes Jewellers.
