Here we stand today with much pride to celebrate Kids First’s 10th anniversary. Here we are celebrating days and hours that witnessed disappointments at times and recoveries and triumphs at other times. Here we are commemorating a journey that we started in 2005, a decade during which we sailed across several oceans on board a ship that carried nearly 700 kids battling with cancer and hailing from various religions, sects and races. Somebody once said, “Life is a beautiful story that should be read till the end. It never stops when it comes across a sad line. It even might end on a happy note.”
PRESIDENT’S LETTER Our story’s beauty, dear friends, lies in its pain and trials. Its most beautiful lines are embedded in its happy ending. Its title is quite sad and revolves around a disease that is devoid of all color, because it conjures to us the gloomy color of death that differentiates between no one. This disease knocks on our door unexpectedly and rips our children from our hearts and souls. It is a shocking reality that we wish we could erase from our memory for days or months. It is an earthquake that rocks our belief in life and makes us raise the question: Is this a dream or reality? If it wasn’t for hope, we couldn’t have kept moving forward. If it wasn’t for the recovery rate that exceeded 75%, we wouldn’t have fiercely continued the fight. If it wasn’t for the grace that God put in the hands of Doctor Peter Noun, the team members of Kids First, and the nurses, volunteers, and parents, we couldn’t have seen a glimpse of the victory.
Today, through this humble endeavor that we carried out, on a personal level, to establish our association in 2005 and the sheer transparency of our mission, as well through our dedication in dealing with others and our high medical and social professionalism, we have acquired a prominent status. In fact, Kids First was granted the award of Best Idealistic NGO Award 2014 for the Healthcare Category by the Ministry of Social Affairs, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Quality Systems International-Paris (QSI). In the name of Kids First, I thank each one of you for putting your trust in us, for each one of you who bet on life through us, and for each widow’s penny and each donation. With very little, we achieved a lot. The love that imbued our mission transcended the materialistic needs and became our gateway to God to seek more love and more healing.

About Kids First Kids First was founded in 2005 as result of the efforts of Mrs. Maya Litcher, wife of Swiss Ambassador Thomas Litcher after she met with Dr. Peter Noun, a Pediatric Hematologist and Oncologist, Former President of the Lebanese Society of Hematology and Blood transfusion, and Chief of the Department of Pediatrics at the Lebanese University Hospital Geitaoui.
The Association’s key objective is to help children battling with cancer and blood disorders by providing them with the necessary medical care and to secure the high cost of medication, especially that each child under the age of 18 has a 75% chance to be fully cured. Kids First has been a member of the International Confederation of Childhood Cancer Parent Organizations (ICCCPO) for the past seven years. It is also represented in several international conferences and campaigns aimed at raising health awareness and at spreading knowledge about the early symptoms and warning signs of children’s cancer. Kids First collaborates with several associations that are specialized in children’s cancer diseases and that provide care to a sick child in a myriad of ways. These include

Tamanna which fulfills sick children’s wishes; Omnia that makes children’s dreams a reality; Toufoula that turns our hospital rooms into magical areas; MySchoolPulse that ensure that children suffering from cancer receive school education, and Basma that oversees Syrian children in Lebanon. The efforts deployed by the Association since its inception to date represent a humble initiative to save children from a long and strenuous battle with the disease and give them a chance to lead normal lives and realize their dreams and aspirations. It is worthy to note that the team of volunteers, which encompasses doctors, lawyers, mothers, young women and men, teachers, nurses, and students, represents the backbone and the pillar of the association. Without their diligent efforts and their relentless zeal, the dream would not have become a reality.

Robert El Nakhel He mastered the art of newscast and proved himself as a refined media expert in a short period of time on MTV. Rola Safa Her beauty and poise go far beyond words. She is the queen of the media scene and the stage. She steadily climbed the professional ladder and entered the hearts and homes of the Lebanese people at large. She rose to the limelight on two prominent TV stations in Lebanon, LBCI and MTV and, thanks to her beauty and knowledge, became the face that viewers await on MTV Alive every morning. She hosted thousands of guests across various fields and engaged them in dialogues that are of utmost interest to the viewers. She was singled out for her utter spontaneity and remarkable simplicity and built for herself a style like no other, “sheer simplicity”. She stood out with her unspoiled beauty and mesmerized audiences with her elegance through her daily appearances. She soon became a source of inspiration in the world of fashion and beauty. But Rola is also a humanitarian as she dedicates most of her time for charitable causes and has been the backbone of Kids First Association since 2011. In fact, she added a unique flair to all the celebrations and events of the association. As her name implies (in English ‘purity’), she is the emblem of purity and Kids First ambiance can only be purified through Rola’s exceptional poise.
Habib Alberto He was born as a violin player before being born and known as Habib Alberto. He mesmerized Lebanon and the world with his passion for music. His ambition prompted him to transcend the world of classical music and become an outstanding phenomenon in the world of violin. He is like no other and follows none. His high self-esteem and zeal for music captured the attention of many. He was swayed by the gipsy tune, the tune of love and wander. It became his companion and muse at all times and he carried it wherever he went
around the world and played it on the stages of Europe and America. He has a style in his own right, which blends well with his tunes, looks, and personality. He is an artist of international caliber and was able to project Lebanon’s image as a center of art and music rather than a center of political turmoil. He won the award of “Best violin player in Lebanon” and topped the headlines of newspapers, TV stations, and social media after he launched his signature tune ‘ZIVELI’ and filmed it as a video clip in Serbia in cooperation with the skilled director Nijad Abdel Massih. As his name means (“lover” in English), he is a lover of tunes and hypnotizing melodies. His violin tunes are those of the love that will help each child about to lose the tune of life.
He added to the Lebanese cultural library tremendous titles which became part of its memory such as “Rima”, “AL Char al Awsat”, “Michel & Samir” and many other productions that culminated with his recent production “Daddy” deriving it from his daughter’s world, Julia, his widest theater. In his achievements, Joe totters between the taboo and the sacred in supreme mildness. He writes with boundless sagacity. His manuscripts are thoroughly and prominently enlightening. You can discern in his scripts, history, chronology, reality and never-failing prophesy.
Joe Kodeih He is an ultimately literate and creative person, surprisingly brilliant in his theatrical achievements, rebellious and fiercely refractory to the dull reality we are dwelling in; he is also an actor, an author and a producer. He stepped the international threshold through his exquisite theatrical inventions, reaching Europe and USA. He played the key role in the Lebanese theater awakening and conveyed it to the whole world. He is the godfather of Gemmayze Theater, which he has embraced since November 2013. He designed and equipped it in a way that it became the center of attraction of theater lovers and visitors; especially that Gemmayze Area was the Arabic Theater starting point. He was renowned for his stand-up comedy and his astounding portrayal of reality, his picturesque and tough plot. He is always accounted for every ins and outs.

Maguy Bou Ghosn Who doesn’t know this professional lady, this tactful and elegant actor, this dazzling lady who mesmerized spectators in her serials, dramatic and cinematographic performances. She is dignified for her charm and her unfading spontaneity. She has that ravishing smile known for Arab women. Her talent unveils her passion for the roles she successfully plays, yet fascinating her audiences around the world. She victoriously strives catching public love and attention, even outside national frontiers. She also managed to play with professionalism, wiping out the wall that separates the visual hypothetical world from the real world. So fearless in her emotions, she awakened Lebanese women who resign and stand still in front of violence. She stirred up the feelings of millions of her audiences who shed tears while she played her famous role in the serial “Kafa” where she was a victim of a tormenting reality.
She is the spouse of the famous producer Jamal Sanan, owner of Eagle Films Company. Her husband is an exceptional man. By his witty and strategic production he enriched the Lebanese cinema with great films that broke the record, such as “BEBE” and “VITAMINE”. Perhaps Maguy Bou Ghosn and the great film producer, Jamal Sanan, found themselves in great living, familial, emotional and professional ambiance. How many ailing and suffering children had the chance to watch their films, that fit all ages and meet all tastes. No one ignores now, the checkpoint set by the gorgeous Maguy Abou Ghosn, Wissam Sabbagha and Jean Daccache who all stood on the Lebanese streets to collect donations for our Association. All this under a campaign baptized “From Heart to Heart”. Maguy Bou Ghosn, you are a piece of our heart. You are the heartbeat of our children who were about to die because of the exorbitant cost of treatment they need. We sincerely and deeply thank you from our heart.
Georges Audi A man of a young age but huge ambitions. One cannot but be spellbound by his talent despite his young age. He managed to prove himself in the music circle and charmed with his fingers swaying on the piano all music aficionados. He aims for the summit but he is not far from it. He loves life and passionately expresses his inner being through music. He is confident and hails from a family known for its moral and cultural values. He was raised to respect himself and others, and this self-respect can only be nurtured through music that enables it to reach the doors of heaven where the tunes of love and joy can be heard. As for his respect for others, this can be translated in serving others and helping them in times of need. This is was clearly evident in George Audi’s journey with Kids First Association since we cannot start our yearly gala dinner except through his exceptional music. He embodies what his name implies (“the return” in English) a return to the depth of his soul that will unearth through music. He is the Georges of the promising future of Lebanon and the world.
Nidal Bcherrawi Exactly like an eagle, he soared up reaching the great dome of the sky, steadily climbing the ladder of success, with accurate insights and smart choices. He is the beauty that attracts grace and glamour. His achievements are all crowned with success.
He worked hard in the management field. He actually owns a matchless agency in Lebanon. He gained glory in Lebanon and all around the world. He reflected the beauty and peace of Lebanon. Nidal Bcherrawi rose high by adding one success after another; he participated in beauty contests and creative projects; he is the one who never fails to put charitable projects on top of his agenda. You can see him at Geitaoui hospital with the first runner up of Mr. Lebanon Jean Paul Bitar, distributing gifts to children with cancer; carrying out donation campaigns to collect funds and help covering treatment costs. He always responds to Kids First calls and devote all his knowledge and capacities in favor of children with cancer. Jean-Paul Bitar He was the First Runner-up in Mr. Lebanon competition in 2014 and will represent Lebanon in Mr. World that will be held in Florida, United States in August 2015. He is the handsome, educated man who is the holder of a Masters Degree in Computer Sciences from Saint Joseph University (USJ). He is the one who is so passionate about dance and life that he enlisted in “Dancing with the Stars” show in its third edition on MTV. He mesmerized everyone with his charm inside out. He is the sports man heartily engaged in daily exercises because of its overall benefits on all fronts. Jean-Paul Bitar is a beautiful mosaic and a rare work of art made of intertwined harmonious pieces. He relentlessly used his talent for the sake of achieving Kids First mission through the photo he shot with Christy, the little girl battling with leukemia. He challenged norms and appeared in a photo half naked along with a naked girl, thereby showing that no one should fear or be ashamed of a disease that our society called “that disease” as a way to avoid naming it. Jean-Paul Bitar embodies the sheer beauty that defies this disease which attacks our children. This is not to mention that his remarkable ethics added to his beauty. Jean Paul Bitar, will dance on the annual gala dinner with his mate, the professional and beautiful Sandra Abbas who represented Lebanon in numerous dancing contests in Lebanon and abroad. With her, Jean Paul Bitar will make both pain and cancer sway to the music, recovery and life too. Jean Paul Bitar is the real beauty that struggled against cancer; very well-known, his manners never lacked polish, adding more beauty to him.

He is great in his love for children and support for autism and he is deeply marked by the cause of children afflicted with cancer. Lyrics and composition: Salim Assaf He is a young and genius man. He proved himself in a record time in Lebanon and in the Arab World. His name conveys emotions and romance. If he plays with words he turns it to a sacred musical icon. If he plays with melodies, he turns it into a musical psalm sang by angels. He holds a Bachelor of Art (BA) in Tourism and Hotels from the Lebanese University, and a Diploma for playing lute from the Highest National Institute of Music. In 2012 he wrote the lyrics and composed the song of the Lebanese football team “Allah Hamikon” interpreted by Toni Baroud. He participated in the festival of “warda al taef al dawli” in the KSA. He also wrote and composed a theatrical music of around 40 minutes and interpreted it himself in the official festival song. He interpreted many songs himself and shot some in video clips.
Between the melody and the word, there is a deep and subtle feeling out of which he portrays the most refined human values. He wrote about child’s cancer in golden letters and composed a song that destabilized our feelings. The song “ma fi moustahil� is the recent one he wrote and composed. It is surprisingly catching and shall alter the pandemic nonsense of lyrics and music we find actually on the market. This song shall become historical due to the best artistic fanciers.
Musical Arrangement: Dani Helou A Lebanese music distributor, he studied music at USEK Kaslik and dealt with many Arab and foreign stars; his achievements soar in the Arab and Western world. Extremely professional he holds a whip in his hands giving a special touch to melodies and lyrics. He endeavored the last few years in favor of Kids First; very generous and beloved in the artistic and social milieu. Always jovial and cheerful, he worked so hard to transform children cancer and all the pain it causes, to a wonderful song. This is Dany Helou, known for his generosity, good manners and values!
Sound Engineering: Ralph Sleiman A Lebanese musician and sound engineer. He studied Music at USEK. He worked with many stars and recorded many performances with foreign and Arab orchestra. He works with professionalism and organizes his life by considerably contributing in the human and social field. He steadily offers assistance to Kids First Association, asking nothing in return. He passionately loves his work.

A passion that drove me forward since I was seven years old when I started to study music and play the guitar till I got a major in musicology from USEK (the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik). Music wasn’t only mere notes for me, but a visual scenery. This matter motivated me to study film making in IESAV where I excelled and learned so much from the experiences of genius brains in this field. Knowing that achievement and invention are unbounded, I found myself then, in TV production industry and worked with many production companies in Lebanon and the world, capitalizing on the years I had been working as a scenario author, editor and program producer on MTV channel. I also worked in video clip and ads production that had a huge impact in the audio-visual scope. Production of the video clip: Dani Fares (in a letter addressed to the Association). I wanted to write my biography in order to introduce myself only. But I realized that in my lyrics I don’t look to seize any job opportunity but an opportunity to address a peculiar and gifted public that deals with the highest human feelings, that evolves around the force of love, the recovery through love… my words are curved in a childhood that had been stolen by cancer, striven from potential memories and games, ripped off dreams for the future; and all this in a society that struggles against existence as if cancer is far away from its homes and families. Today after my experience with Kids First, being aware that love edicts its rules in the Association administrative and executive departments, among volunteers, nurses and parents, I felt how God is great, and realized how love can heal and eradicated sickness. In this text I am not looking to prove my skillfulness in writing. On the contrary I am drawing up every letter purposely to substantiate my involvement and to show you that I am inhabited by the same passion but in
Today and in the wake of a professional experience abundant with fulfillment, I crown my hugest achievement by making a video clip where I incarnate a life different from the quasi life led by some people. A life that scorns and defy cancer, giving childhood its right; a life that Ghassan Saliba seeks for his daughter through Doctor Peter Noun in a scenery interpreted in a breathtaking way. “Nothing is impossible” is an exceptional duo song. I have the honor to incarnate, draw up such painful reality and produce it. All this, took place due to the kindness of the exceptional distributor Dani Helou who introduced me to Dr. Peter Noun, Ghassan Saliba and the Association President, the lawyer Paul Noun. I thank also all who contributed to make of this video clip a success, particularly Elio El-Chayeb, Joyce Abi Rached and Roger Zogheib. The video clip was shot at the villa of Dr. Elie Nassif and his wonderful wife, Dr. Najat Nassif. Beside hospitality, generosity, exceptional touch and countless indoor and outdoor details of the villa, Nassif’s family added grace and splendor to the scenery. Nowadays these characteristics are hard to find among human beings.
The Play “Into El Kadia” A sublime and high-ranking originality in the text, the acting and the production. The play gathered an elite of actors and young talents. “Into El Kadia” is a national, guiding and comic play about the revolutionist concept of young generation in the midst of the technological cognitive outbreak that rules the whole world. This play calls the public to get familiar with the youth’s needs and incite them to participate in decision-making, helping the country to rise up and look for a better society, a most refined life and relationships governed by love and peace. Kids First is kindly thanking the team work of the play “Into El Kadia” for their exceptional support. Special thanks are also addressed to the greatest man Issam El-Achkar, his son Jad ElAchkar and the bright promising actor Joe Sader.
“Aa soutouh Beirut” on OTV Channel
Many thanks to the media woman, Dalia Dagher, the ravishing and outstanding lady in the Lebanese and Arab media. She consecrated an episode in her well-known program “aa soutouh Beirut” through OTV channel to sustain Kids First association. The episode was a tremendous success. Money collected for the child, Adrian Abou Rjeili who died before he underwent the bone morrow transplant operation, was transferred to his friends in Kids First association upon approval of contributors. The Minister Roni Ereiji who got involved in Adrian case, looked forward to transfer these donations to the center and addressed a touching allocution to Dr. Peter Noun and the association. At the end of this episode, the song “ma fi moustahil” interpreted by Ghassan Saliba and Dr. peter Noun, was played on the screen and dedicated for children with cancer.
“ From the heart” on LBCI Channel LBCI is the channel that believed in Kids First and consecrated many episodes for it such as Telethons to support children with cancer. Behind such support, a lady drew the sky with her smile and gave her hand for help; she is Desiree Farah, the beautiful childhood program “kif w leich” and the messenger of love and donation in this program “from the heart”. She represents joy, innocence and never grows old. She is love itself that donates more love. We thank the LBCI channel, Desiree Farah, Dani Jabbour and all media men and stars who stood by our side. And most thanks to God who put you in our path! You can see the cozy Christmas photos while stars and media men gathered on the eve of December 24, to follow up support and donation campaigns led by LBCI and the program “from the heart”, in order to help children recover from cancer.

We greatly thank TeleStars who convoyed the shooting of the video clip of Kids First song “Ma fi moustahil”. Many thanks too, for consecrating a great passage to the singer Ghassan Saliba and Dr. Peter Noun who talked about the modalities that led to this common work about reality, in a special and wonderful way. Thanks also to the media woman Carine Salameh who made her first steps with kids first association, to the media man, exceptional actor and Mr. Lebanon for the year 2005 Wissam Hanna who always believed in kids first mission. Amine Dib – On the Road |2015 He is the man who consolidated a full-grown concept for fitness in Lebanon. With him mornings are full of energy and positive motion through “Workout”, a program on Alive MTV channel. He is a sport expert, recommended by all stars and sports fanciers from all over the world. He respects his public and answers all their questions without exception. He proved himself as a professional sportive man and as a program presenter. He participated in many conferences and workshops all over the world and owns a sport club at Kaslik. Amine Dib who believes in svelteness, gracefulness and health wanted to consecrate his gracefulness for the sake of health of children with cancer. Amine Dib who enjoys the best and the most beautiful human values, today, triggers his annual initiative “On The Road” which is about riding bicycles and crossing 700 km in order to support kids first children. The start- up will take place on June 11 from MTV building till 13th of June back to the same place MTV building. Farewell to Dr. and Father Georges Kerbage
Kids First association made its farewell this year to the corner stone of its administrative body, Dr. and Father Georges Kerbage, with whom the association came to light in 2005. He died during Easter period of the year, on Saint Georges’s day, on April 2015.
He was still capable of doing a lot for the association. His last appearance was in the Arab and International book fair on December 2014. He radiated Jesus glitter in the heart of his contemporaneous fellows, and knew how to impress his thoughts and theology deeply in their mind.
Rest in peace father, teacher, administrative and thinker. Rest in hope that heaven doors will open wide to welcome you. Some of Kids First children are awaiting you in heaven and some are sending you thankful letters for establishing the association under your benediction!

إخراج فيديو كليب األغنية :داني فارس موجهة إلى الجمعية) (في رسالة ّ أردت أن أخط سيرتي الذاتية ،فقط ألع ّرف عن نفسي ،لكنني أيقنت أنني في كلماتي هذه ال أصبو إلى فرصة عمل ،إنما أصبو إلى فرصة حياة متوجهًا إلى جمهور مميز ،موهوب، جمهور يتعاطى مع أسمى معاني اإلنسانية ،تلك اإلنسانية التي تتمحور حول قوة الحب ،قوة الشفاء بالحب ...كلماتي أبجديتها ّ تأطرت بالطفولة ،طفولة سرقها المرض ،سرق منها ذكريات محتملة وألعاب مفترضة ،سرق منها أحالم الغد في مجتمع يتسابق مع الزمن ،مجتمع يتخابط مع آلية الوجود وكأن السرطان بمنأى عن منازلنا وعائالتنا! واليوم ،وبعد عالقتي مع فريق عمل ،Kids Firstبعد اإلطالع على آلية الحب التي تس ّير عمل الهيئة اإلدارية والتنفيذية والمتطوعين والممرضين والممرضات واألهالي ،شعرت كم الرب عظيم بخلقه ،وكم من شفاء جوهره الحب! في هذا النص ،ال أهدف إلى إثبات براعتي في الصياغة ،بل أتعمد كتابة كل حرف ألثبت أنني أشارككم الشغف نفسه ّ ولكن في مجال آخر ،شغف دفعني منذ عمر السابعة إلى البدء بدراسة الموسيقى والعزف على القيثارة ،إلى أن تخصصت في علم الموسيقى في جامعة الروح القدس الكسليك .لكن الموسيقى بالنسبة إلي لم تكن نوتة فحسب بل كنت أراها مشهدًا مرئيًا مكتمل المقومات ما دفعني إلى دراسة صناعة األفالم في ,IESAVحيث برعت واستفدت من خبرات أدمغة كبيرة في هذا المجال .وألن

روال صفا هي أجمل من الوصف وأرقى من التعبير ،هي سيدة اإلعالم والمنبر .مشت دربها المهنية بخطى ثابتة ودخلت إلى منازل وقلوب اللبنانيين أجمع. لمع نجمها في أهم محطتين تلفزيونيتين في لبنان ،ال LBCIوالـ MTVوباتت بجمالها وثقافتها العالية محطة ال بد من انتظارها كل صباح عبر برنامج .MTV aliveاستضافت آالف األشخاص من مجاالت عدة ،حاورتهم واستنبطت من خبراتهم ما يخدم المشاهد بأفضل السبل الممكنة .تميزت بعفويتها المطلقة وبساطتها الحذقة بحيث رسمت لنفسها خطًا متميزًا يصعب تقليده عنوانه «السهل الممتنع» .تم ّيزت بكمال الشكل وسحرت القلوب بأناقتها عبر إطالالتها اليومية بحيث باتت مصدر وحي وإلهام في عالم الموضة ولتتوج سلم الكمال ،خصصت معظم أوقاتها في سبيل والجمال. ّ خدمة الجمعيات الخيرية ،إذ شكلت عامودًا فقريًا لجمعية Kids Firstمنذ العام ،2011وأضفت رونقًا إعالميًا أنثويًا أخاذًا على كل حفالت ومناسبات الجمعية. جو من أجواء Kids Firstمن دون رونق هي الصفا ،وال يصفو ٌّ روال االستثنائية!

روبير النخل هو الذي أتقن لعبة تقديم األخبار باحترافية عالية جدًا ،هو اإلعالمي المتميز والراقي الذي أثبت جدارته بفترة وجيزة عبر شاشة الـ MTVاللبنانية ،فاقترن اسمه بالمهنية العالية وسمعته باألخالق الرفيعة المستوى. تم ّيز بأناقته قلبًا وقالبًا ،وبانتقائه الذكي إلطالالته اإلعالمية، يحترم جمهوره وال يمكن أن يحل في أي زمان أو مكان من دون أن يترك أثرًا إيجابيًا قل نظيره في الوسط االجتماعي واإلعالمي على حد سواء. انطبعت فيه بيئة بلدته البترونية بيت شالال ،فتراه تبادل معها وتشرب منها رصانة طبيعة استثنائية عملية التأثر والتأثير َّ انعكست خَ لقًا وخُ لقًا على سلوكه وأدبياته مهنيًا واجتماعيًا. وفي وسط عائلة متماسكة األطراف ،نشأ النخل على قيم كثيرة أهمها العطاء ومد يد العون ألي محتاج أو مريض ،ما يفسر تلبيته لنداء Kids Firstبسرعة وإيجابية مطلقة حتى بات حجر أساس فيها. هو النخل ،هو الرقم الصعب في المشهد اإلعالمي اإلخباري في لبنان والعالم العربي!

أهداف Kids First تأمين العالجات الطبية المناسبة لألطفال ما دون الـ 18سنة المصابين بأمراض سرطانية خطيرة ;
توفير الدعم المادي والمعنوي والنفسي لألطفال ; تنظيم نشاطات ترفيهية في مختلف األعياد والمناسبات وفي عدد من المستشفيات ،نخص بالذكر: المستشفى اللبناني الجعيتاوي الجامعي ،األشرفية. مستشفى سيدة المعونات الجامعي ،جبيل. مستشفى القديس جاورجيوس الجامعي -الروم ،األشرفية. تأمين هبات لتغطية كلفة العالجات من خالل تخصيص إطالالت وحمالت إعالمية عبر كافة وسائل اإلعالم المرئية والمسموعة والمكتوبة ،المحلية واإلقليمية ; إقامة ندوات خاصة إللقاء الضوء على أمراض السرطان لدى األطفال، عوارضه ،أنواعه ،تقنيات العالج المعتمدة وسبل الوقاية منه.

نبذة عن Kids First تأسست جمعية األطفال أوالً Kids Firstعام 2005بفضل مجهود فردي بذلته السيدة مايا ليتشر زوجة السفير السويسري توماس ليتشر ،إثر لقاء جمعها بالطبيب بيتر نون ،اختصاصي في أمراض الدم واألورام عند األطفال والرئيس السابق للجمعية اللبنانية ألمراض الدم ونقل الدم في لبنان ورئيس قسم األطفال في المستشفى اللبناني الجعيتاوي الجامعي.
تتمثل مهمة جمعية األطفال أوالً Kids Firstفي مساعدة األطفال المصابين بأمراض سرطانية وبأمراض الدم لتوفير الرعاية الطبية الكافية لهم ولتأمين كلفة األدوية الباهظة الثمن ،خصوصًا وأن نسبة الشفاء لدى األطفال ما دون الـ 18سنة تتخطى الـ .75% تندرج جمعية األطفال أوالً Kids Firstفي االتحاد العالمي لمنظمات عائالت األطفال المصابين بالسرطان ()ICCCPO منذ سبع سنوات ،وهي تحظى بتمثيل في عدد من المؤتمرات العالمية والحمالت المنظمة لنشر الوعي الصحي والتثقيف في التعرف إلى األعراض المبكرة والعالمات التحذيرية لسرطانات األطفال. إلى جانب ذلك ،تتعاون جمعية األطفال أوالً Kids Firstمع عدد كبير من الجمعيات المختصة بأمراض السرطان لدى األطفال بنواح شتى ،نذكر منها :جمعية والتي تهتم بالطفل المريض ٍ
استحصلت الجمعية على علم وخبر برقم /437أد بتاريخ 14أيلول 2006والمنشور بالجريدة الرسمية عدد 45تاريخ 21أيلول .2006
تمنى لتحقيق أمنيات األطفال المرضى ،جمعية أمنية التي تحول أحالم األطفال إلى حقيقة ،جمعية طفولة التي تحول ّ غرف األطفال المرضى إلى غرف أحالم ،جمعية MySchoolPulse التي تهتم بتأمين التعليم المدرسي ألطفال مرضى السرطان وجمعية بسمة التي تعنى باألطفال السوريين في لبنان. إن الجهود التي تبذلها الجمعية منذ تأسيسها حتى اليوم ما هي إال مبادرة تهدف إلى إنقاذ األطفال من مسيرة مرضية صعبة وشاقة ،وإعطائهم فرصةً الستكمال حياتهم وتحقيق أحالمهم وطموحاتهم. والجدير بالذكر أن فريق المتطوعين الذي يضم أطباء ومحامين وأمهات وشباب وشابات وأساتذة وممرضات وتالميذ يشكل عصب الجمعية وعامودها الفقري ،فلوال جهودهم الحثيثة واندفاعهم الالمتناهي لما صار الحلم حقيقة!

بينها وبين جمعية Kids Firstعشر سنوات من الحب والعطاء الالمحدود هو التاريخ سيستوقفنا يومًا ليغار من عصر عاصرنا فيه ظاهرة استثنائية ٍ عنوانها الصلح هو الحاضر يغمزنا بالخفاء ليخطف منها بعطاء ال يفنى ابتسامة تشع ٍ بأجيال هو المستقبل سيستبشر خيرًا ٍ عاشوا وحملوا بصمة سيدة ال ولن تتكرر
هي الصلح وهي الحب، فكل صلح وأعوامنا بألف خير...
ها نحن وبكل اعتزاز نحتفل بعيد Kids Firstالعاشر .ها نحن نحتفل بأيام وساعات مضت بعضها خيبات وبعضها اآلخر شفاءات وانتصارات .ها نحن نحتفل بمشوار بدأناه في العام ،2005رحلة عشر سنوات أبحرنا خاللها في محيطات كبرى على متن سفينة حملت حوالي الـ 700طفل مريض بالسرطان من كافة األديان والطوائف والجنسيات. قال أحدهم “الحياة رواية جميلة عليك قراءتها حتى النهاية ،ال سطر حزين ،قد تكون النهاية جميلة”. تتوقف أبدًا عند ٍ
كلمة رئيس الجمعية روايتنا أيها األعزاء جميلة ،جمالها في ألمها ونضالها ،وسطورها األجمل تقبع في ثنايا نهاياتها السعيدة .أما عنوانها فحزين ويتمحور حول مرض ال لون له ،لونه في خلفيتنا الفكرية لون الموت المظلم ،ذاك الموت الذي نتساوى فيه جميعًا .هو مرض خاطف يطرق أبوابنا خلسة ويسلخ عن قلوبنا أطفالنا فلذة أكبادنا .هو خبر صاعق يجعلنا نتمنى لو نفقد ذاكرتنا أليام أو أشهر ،هو هزة أرضية تزعزع ثقتنا بالحياة ،هو وهم يجعلنا نسأل أنفسنا :هل نحن بحلم أم يقظة؟ لكننا ولوال األمل والرجاء لما استمرينا ،لوال نسبة الشفاء التي تخطت نسبة الـ 75%لما ثابرنا في النضال ،لوال دعم السيدة ليلى الصلح حماده الدائم لنا منذ عشر سنوات حتى اليوم لتع ّثرنا ولوال بركة وضعها اهلل في َي َدي الطبيب بيتر نون وفريق عمل جمعية Kids Firstوطاقم الممرضين والممرضات والمتطوعين وأهالي المرضى لما التمسنا بصيص االنتصار.
واليوم ،وبين مدماك صغير وضعناه بمبادرة فردية لتأسيس جمعيتنا في العام 2005وشفافيتنا المطلقة في رسالتنا هذه ،بين محبة ومصداقية في التعاطي والتعامل مع اآلخر ومهنية طبية واجتماعية عالية جدًا ،تبوأنا أعلى المراكز وحازت Kids Firstعلى جائزة الجمعية المثالية للعام 2014عن فئة الرعاية الصحية من ِقبل وزارة الشؤون االجتماعية وبرنامج األمم المتحدة اإلنمائي UNDPوشركة Quality .)Systems International-Paris) QSI بإسم جمعية ،Kids Firstأشكر كل من وضع ثقته بنا ،كل من راهن على الحياة من خاللنا ،كل فلس أرملة ،كل َص َدقة أتت ّ ولعل من محسن ومعين .بالقليل القليل قمنا بالكثير الكثير، توج رسالتنا تخطى ميزان القليل والكثير ،ميزان الحب الذي ّ األرضيات ،ليتوسط لنا عند اهلل بحب أكبر وشفاءات أكثر. ولكــم منـا جــزيـل الـحـــب
